Beanie level: Noble idiot

Also, who is watching SF8? I like anthologies, they’re exciting and you get to experience a whole lot of different styles, stories, and settings under one show. + they’re hard to get bored with.

I feel like it’s almost that time of the year when we get the heartwarming, slow-burn melodramas but I don’t see any on the horizon… Or is it too hot for that yet?🤔

Writer-nim, please don’t pull any Hwayugi tricks. Thanks🙏 #FoE

I don’t think you have cause for worry. The show does not have the same writers. 🤷‍♀️

Has anyone seen Flower of Evil today? Do you need tissues too? 😭😭😭😭😭

Also, is it just me or do serial killers share a collective love of classical music? I think they even have a list that they all choose from and that\’s why a lot of them like the same ones.

Back again for another round of \’What\’s That Classical Piece?\’ Does anyone know the name of the piece that plays from the music box in Train? It\’s the same one on the tape in Flower of Evil. 🙏 Help

I’m not watching either drama. Do you have a YouTube clip of the scene? Or tell me the episode and minute, and I might be able to figure it out.

Okay so I couldn’t find a clip but it’s episode 7 of Flower of Evil from 56:30. I’m pretty sure it was in Nobody Knows too but I could be wrong. Here’s a link to the episode: https://www.viki.com/videos/1167325v-flower-of-evil-episode-7. You’ll need Viki Pass for that though, unfortunately. Thank you!
P.S. it kinda sounds like a hymn.

This is a difficult one since it’s just humming. I’m afraid I don’t know, sorry. 🙁 It does sound like a hymn or a lullaby.

          P.S.: That’s one creepy basement!

            Thanks anyway.
P.S. I know, right? Just lookout for the eyes. If you ever watch the show, you’ll find out what I mean 😖

P.S.A: This is a friendly reminder not to watch episode 3 (or any of the episodes tbh) of Flower of Evil at night. I have made the mistake and have lost all hope of peaceful sleep 😖😩

Just finished Remember and if I ever watch another of Yoon Hyun Ho\’s movies or shows, someone virtually slap me. Ugh my head hurts from all the crying.

I was looking through a list of shows coming soon and I realized it\’s around the time of the year where we get a lot of crime shows and I actually get excited about them. Is this a Fall feeling?

I\’m really hating the writer of Remember right now 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. Instead of chaebols and politicians, all villains should be writers at this point.

So Serenade was playing in the last scene of episode 9. I couldn\’t find a video for that scene though

Aaaah! So I found another one 🙈. I really need to stop listening to classical music. Help please 😭. I think this one was a tense scene or something like that. It’s also probably from a recent drama

I remember hearing it in Hotel Del Luna. I also think Hwi-young briefly played it on the piano in A Moment at Eighteen. I’m sure it’s been in other dramas as well 🙂

I remember this one now 🙈 It was Hotel Del Luna 😅. It’s funny how you can remember anything if you don’t think so hard. Both songs were related to Yeo Jin Goo though. I’ve been missing him lately 🥺

I really really loved Kwak Dong Yeon in #Psycho. Like I would have never thought of him in that role but he was perfect for it. The cameo I didn’t ask for but really needed. + the fairytales are bae😍

There’s so much to love about this drama so far. The editing, the directing, the cinematography, Kwak Dong Yeon’s bar story sequences (😭), Seo Ye Ji’s weird crazy. the fairytales, the scene of young Kang Tae with his mom, the action shots at the end instead of stills, the fairytales (double mention because yes. The stories remind me of Hans Christian Anderson and I love it), Go Mun Young’s aggressive “I LOVE YOU” (which I see as a parody of scenes from other dramas where an “I love you” makes all troubles disappear)…

There’s so much I want to say but I can’t remember it all. You guys help me out. What do you like about Psycho so far?
(P.S. I prefer Psycho to It’s okay as a nickname for the show. It has a ring to it. Plus it very generally sums the show up🤷‍♀️)

Since I didn\’t mention it before, I loved the premiere of Psycho. Seo Ye-Ji 🙌. Finally, something to look forward to. This summer has not lived up to last summer drama-wise so hopefully this helps

Also on an unrelated note. Can anyone please tell me how beanie levels work? Or at least guide me to an article that can explain or someone who knows? I\’m not sure what a water maid is…

A bunch of my comments that sum up my thoughts on Dalsik from backstreet rookie.

“…cultural appropriation is what they did. Taking characteristics of another culture and using it in a way that was supposed to be “comedic.” The portrayal of the character was not only disgusting quite frankly but also about as funny as trump calling the coronavirus the kungflu (that means it’s absolutely f***ing not funny). Cultural appropriation is like using someone’s bathroom and leaving a mess behind. It’s quite annoying and you won’t get invited over anymore.”

“Posting again here because this thread looks like it needs some truth. This isn’t a “be open-minded” thing. This isn’t about change or what’s to come. In case you didn’t notice, what people are finding problematic is in the present. As in the first 2 episodes. Nobody cares how he’s gonna change. We are asking why he is the way he is and why he is in the show. Don’t try to be a pacifist. Years of taking the pacifist road is why things like these still air without problems. Pick a side.”

“Speaking out here to dismiss this frankly stupid point about the drama showing prejudice in today’s society. First of all, What?? You thought about that sentence then you wrote it down and you still can’t see what’s wrong with it? What lesson is it showing huh? If this was a show about prejudice and overcoming it in today’s society I would understand but this show has absolutely nothing to do with that. There were some scenes about racism in Itaewon Class that I didn’t like but I admit it added to the story and it made sense. I honestly don’t see the point in a non-Black character having dreads and wearing Jamaican style clothing in this show. I don’t understand why that already messed up character had to be the weird one drawing naked bodies in the dark and touching himself. I especially do not freaking understand why he had flies coming out of his hair!!!!! If it was some white guy with flies in his hair masturbating in the dark y’all wouldn’t be out here spewing this madness. You have to see that this character is an insult to Black people everywhere and NOOO! Nobody’s being “overly sensitive” and NO! This is absolutely NOT a fricking “joke”. Stop lying to yourself and see what you know it is. You! Yes, you Karen! You know what you thought when you saw that dude. And this goes to everyone saying “It’s just a joke”, “Calm down”, “Cultural appropriation isn’t real” or worse “Haters gonna hate.” This is way more than some actors or your faves. This is about real people who have been insulted and brought down in subtle and not-so-subtle ways like this for centuries. People who are tired of being afraid of the majority and having to laugh it off. Enough is enough. Stop the madness.”

“Sorry if it’s harsh but I wasted all my nice energy on some other person.”
