That's a good part of it for me, however, it's more the sum of its parts kinda thing. The show deals with interesting topics like lack of affordable housing, sexual harassment, career and life frustrations that you 30s haven't matched up to the life plan, and Jung So-min has been doing a really good job of making these issues compelling. It also has a really good group of female friends. I also appreciate the weirdness of the entire setup and Lee Min-ki's character, which may seem weird--probably because they aren't often portrayed--but are totally believable.

I love this show! It was the drama I was most looking forward to this season, and while I'm enjoying more dramas at once than ever before (all live airing, to boot!), this one is still my favorite! I was looking forward to yer regular ol' basic kdrama cohabitation shenanigans, and I got that plus a much more quirky, endearing, and interesting drama than expected. PLUS, a contract marriage. Yes, please!

Hi Beanies !

6th week in Germany. The weather is surprisingly hot ! I should have packed a few light clothes. Mom is always right.

I'm already drowning in homework while most of my friends just started their lessons in other German universities this week. I comfort myself thinking it's good to start earlier.

Funny story with my landlord : Something was wrong with the light and the fridge so he came to take a look. As we said goodbye I did “la bise” (kissing both side of the face) out of habit. He told me he was not ready haha. Then he came back the next day and he wanted to do “la bise” but this time I was the one who was not ready. After two awkward attempts at greeting we agreed on a handshake ! Cultural differences can bring really funny and awkward moments ha.

Happy Friday :D

Ha! My friend's (American-born) parents live in Nairobi where they've been missionaries for decades. Nairobi is very international and, if you're open, there are many opportunities for cultures to mix. One time, after a dinner with new acquaintances, the dad said good night to a Japanese guest. One of them bowed, the other extended a hand, and someone's cheek got kissed. It was mortifying (and hilarious) for everyone.

I've been hearing good things about Because This is My First Life (plus it's by the screenwriter of one of my all-time favourite dramas, Hogu's Love), and I'm watching 20C Boy & Girl. It's a light slice-of-life show with some lovely friendships/ family relationships and cute love lines! Nothing too fast-paced, it almost has a daily drama vibe.

With drama-slump and whatnot,I picked a movie from my long time watch-list. The famous King and Clown it was. Went in with tons of expectations as I've heard many positive reviews before, but to my disappointment, found some storylines and scenes to be VERY confusing for me,which tainted my supposed-to-be-exiting experience. Probably could be due to my own fault,so if there's a beanie who can clear things for me,I'll be grateful.

#1- I found the amount of vulgar joking too much. Yeah they're country bumpkins and commoners, and I've seen those before in many sageuks. But definitely not this much,as it became gross.I sat through all, unable to FF thinking those could hold some pivotal clue to the main plot. They didn't and even replayed some scenes; that king-Nok su toilet scene was fully played both at market and palace. WHY??
#2-I went in expecting it'd be bit gay-themed thanks to some articles. But surprise, couldn't find enough substance for them to call it a "successfully made gay-themed k film".
The king obviously loved Gong gil,but I thought that doesn't count as to me,it was mostly due to his increasing madness, twisted mind and the purity he found in Gg,not due to some honest and raw attraction. And it was one-sided too,as I thought Gg only felt sympathy, nothing more.
And the other pair also ringed"true bromance" for me. Maybe I'm crazy as many said there was a love triangle. But later I saw some reviews that supported my idea,so I was bit relaxed. For me there was only a pretty bromance and a probably-craze-driven one sided love. Why do people call this film gay themed?(doesn't matter what the original play intended, this is the movie,a different version.)

Open Thread week 37! How is everyone today? The hubby had oral surgery a couple days ago, so I’ve been living with a lion with a splinter in his paw. LOL! Really, not LOL, because hubby’s who don’t feel well are worse than kids that don’t feel well. But he says he’s “fine” today, good thing too, because he’s making pho for all our friends this weekend and he makes the best pho ever—totally not exaggerating!
There was only one episode of “Temperature of Love” this week, and it was a slow one, not a lot of development in the story—but OMG, the kissing! I’m convinced Seo Hyun Jin was the missing link in Korean kissing. Every guy she’s paired with has a great kiss with her, at least the ones I’ve seen. Eric! Yoo Yeon Seok (still don’t know the right spelling of his name)! and now Yang Se Jong! I wonder if he got any pointers from her. I’m still not over her previous kissing scenes!
And because I was up last night anyway, I caught up with “Because this life is our first.” I’m still on the fence about this one. They really still do act like strangers living together. I don’t feel the chemistry yet. BUT. THAT. CAT. It is gorgeous! Does anyone know what breed it might be? I. HATE. CATS. but watching this show has tempted me to go get one. We have a black stray cat that hangs around our house—it was the subject of a photo-documentary that my daughter just submitted for a contest—and it’s pretty, but “Kitty” looks like the softest thing I’ve ever seen!

Not a lot of talking with the hubby, but I was at a birthday party for a sweet 16 year old last night, and was talking with a couple of my husband’s friends, and had these deep thoughts:

Friend #1: Something your husband said to me I’ve been thinking about.

Me: What’s that? He says useful things sometimes.

Friend #1: It was about me drinking, maybe too much sometimes. He said “Does it make you happy to drink?” I thought about it and said, “Yes, it does!” And he said, “Well, that’s a start, so many people are miserable doing things that they think they like doing and it controls their life, and they’re still miserable.”

Me: That sounds like something he would say.

Friend #2: So that means I can still eat all my sweets???

Me: I guess if it makes you happy. Anything is good, until it’s to excess. For instance, Friend #1 and alcohol, Friend #2 and sweets, me and kdramas!

Friend #2: At least you don’t have caloric intake with kdramas!

Moral of the story: Stay skinny, watch more kdramas!

2nd Moral: Carefully pull the splinter out of the lion’s paw, and he’ll make you your favorite meal.

3rd Moral: It’s a beautiful day here and I hope you all are having a beautiful day where you are!

#3-Had some issues with Jang saeng character. For me he always tried to keep Gg away from king not due to jealousy, but as a sensible hyung. He def hated the idea of old yangbans using little bro against his will, but what bothered me was that he didn't exactly help Gg get out of his pitiful situation either. Gg was very week and depending on Js, and the fact Js kept giving him female roles didn't help his personality either. What he did was making use and money outta Gg looks too, unintentionally and in a different way right? Of course when you put Gg in public acting all feminine, joined with his doesn't-help-at-all looks, the twisted yangban'll be attracted, what didja expect?
If it was me,I'll be helping Gg improve his personality and man-him-up. Yes they were living a hand-to-mouth life and had other things to worry about and I cannot actually blame him,but still..
He only addressed the issue when it's time e.g.;when a customer came for Gg,but later he forgot all. For what happened to Gg wasn't he part-responsible? Dunno,I'm prob overthinking, but I'm very much saddened by the whole tragedy.

#4-Couldn't properly with Gg either. Boy was too frail and naive for words. Yup he spent his life being abused and that affected him badly, but when you 're living in street with The tough, most of all under a hyung like Js,you expect him to learn a thing or two. But he was always willingly giving himself up without fighting, crying and wincing when others around him got beaten. The Only time I saw him strong and under his own power was when he was acting. And why did he wiped tears out of kings face? Nobody in his right mind will do such a thing even if he was the kindest king evar, unless that person is in love,a personal confidante or unless the king is Park Bo gum. And what's with not leaving while he could? I thought by now he should've some idea on how helpless he's without Js,but no,he stayed with king thinking stupidly he could change him. He apparently only sympathized king, but even in sympathizing he went bit far. You should be able to take care of yourself before going to help others. Now Shin Chae kyung was a such.😜
The other thing was the way they presented Gg character was too feminine. Not talking about looks, but his behaviour, demeanour, the way he interacted with others rang disturbingly willowy and womanly. This probably didn't help with his already on going issues. Could it be the amount of girly roles he played affected his mind someway? When a man behaves like that,to me it's HARD to watch. Could Gg be borne with some syndrome? That'd be a good way to describe why Gg was like Gg,without having to point a finger at writer, director or LJk's then green acting. That way almost all the other things will fit in perfectly.

#5-Why blue Dragon robes for Yeonsan? I know that he's still referred to as a Prince, but back THEN,he had a coronation and he was a king when he ruled, right?

Now,these are the only Qs I've on the film, and I'm not criticising it. And pardon my tone if offensive,I'm not a native speaker and I don't mean anything cruel. In fact I really like it,the gorgeous soundtrack(that flute piece!), cinematography, steady direction and acting and everything. Just that I was unable to LOVE it as I wanted to, and I'm so ready to take back my ideas if they're actually wrong, then to have a rewatch to enjoy it to maximum this time. Can you help me?
On a shallow note- I was shocked to see such a girly LJk, as I was used to be among those fans who thought while he had ethereal features he was so manly and far from a flower boy. Probably because I've only seen his post army projects till now. I totally can understand why back then he became a household name overnight and was named the 1st flower boy.
Manly bad boy Wang So vs pretty, willowy Gong gil= Mind. Blown.
(Similar Sageuk hair nonwithstanding)

Looking at the picture, Lee Sang-yeob should also appear in Lee Sun-kyun's next drama "My Ahjusshi"! I was hoping to see him get a break out role in WYWS but based on reactions, seems not. Better luck, next time.

Weekend is coming, time to catch up with drama.. 😅 I just watched one epi of Temp of Love & Buamdong Revenge Club which I absolutely love so far, this week (again, yeay for the increase in the rating 🎉).

Witch's Court & 20th Century are on my list this weekend. Mad Dog -maybe yes maybe no, depends on my mood.

I was discussing this with @snarkyjellyfish on her fanwall, I'm going to lift my comments from there with some additions!

Haerim's discovery of her dad’s affair was probably the key turning point for her. It shook up her perspective, because given the fairly stable and peaceful family life we glimpse, her dad is someone she trusts very much and treats as a constant. The same goes for Kiseok, who has been her friend since childhood.

Perhaps if her dad hadn’t had that affair, or if Haerim hadn’t found out about it, she might have been less afraid of the prospect of change between her and Kiseok. But because she did, she was probably afraid of shaking up this other relationship that has been a constant to her. Although of course her decision in the end did change their relationship anyway, and that’s where Kiseok’s maturation came in.

I really liked the red thread motif that suggested fate is there, and it can connect or separate two people, but it’s really up to individuals to shape their connection rather than be dictated by fate. The cross-cutting between younger Kiseok knotting the ends of the broken red thread back together and present-Kiseok walking towards Haerim to close the physical distance between them was symbolic of this.

I think the drama left a possibility for Haerin and Giseok to end up together. It's pretty sweet how Giseok hugged Haerim in the end, looking back to their early movie-watching conversation about how a movie that ends in a hug (instead of a kiss) is more heartwarming and suggests that the love story hasn't ended yet. A friend who watched this thinks that the first five minutes could very well have been what happened after the hug at the train station.

@sancheezy Saw your comment. Have you read Volume 12 of Oregairu? Things have become pretty interesting.
Adachi Mitsuru's MIX is getting fast translations now too.

Doctor Stranger and Hospital Ship are literally Crap. I lost some previous part of my life watching these 2 atrocious shows. From Taegoon to these doctortoons, 2017 is certainly year of bad Kdramas.

Music - That annoying female singer song brings down all the Temperature and ruins the mood . That Crass voice discord does enough to harm the whole of scenes.

@catocat What's the difference between hate-watching and hating a show while you watch it? How many episodes did you give the shows you hated? Were you hoping for improvement or did you watch for a particular character you liked?

I'm new to Kdrama and try to watch selectively. But I've recently found myself drawn to Black which is kinda bad with brilliant moments.

That's a difficult question. I don't particularly hate-watch a show. I just dump them before it becomes an obsession. Taegoon from School porn was the most closest Hate-Watch i ever encountered.
I don't expect much from bad shows so i encircle my thoughts around the best available character and compare them with myself and other humans.
I give minimum of 2 weeks to each show and by episode 5 i get confirm info where to put the show.

I am mostly fooled by my own curiosity. Better be selective and save your time than flirting around with anyone in sight.

I have wasted too much time on C grade shows so i expect fellow viewers won't follow my path.

Hello Beanies,
I have a friend whose daughter has an eating disorder and last week had to be hospitalized because she stopped eating. We are all thinking how to help and I was wandering if maybe a kdrama pill could help the girl to rise her spirit a bit while she is waiting for her psychiatric treatment... any ideas? The girl is 13 and before she wanted to be a ballet dancer (but didn't get into the ballet school what perhaps was one of the triggers of the disorder). I don't have much experience with what 13yrs-old girls like to watch (plus what's ok with the disorder)... but was thinking about "You Are Beautiful"... or "Goong".... What do you think? Or is it generally a good idea?

Considering she is currently in the hospital, a drama that deals with or is too near the actual issue could do more harm than good. A drama that keeps her mind off the issue, and just cheers her up from being in the hospital is good. I actually think You Are Beautiful or Goong are good places to start. I would also maybe suggest Coffee Prince, the message of being loved for who you are is good. And you could also probably show any of the Answer Me series, the focus on family relationships could help as well.
I send my best wishes to her and her family!

Oh, I second "Coffee Prince." Although, there's that scene at the beginning where she is having an eating competition with her sister's boyfriend and he throws up. It'll be hard to find something that doesn't have food at all associated with a kdrama--food and alcohol are the main reasons people get together in Korea!

Just be careful not to pick anything with a character who abhors eating or has an obsession with food or being thin--because kdramas are rife with these too.

I agree with cantbothertologin that it could backfire, but I think if it is something her and her mother/family could do together, then it could become a way to bond and an opportunity to bring up the topic of body image and self-esteem in a more natural way.

I'm not sure this would be such a good idea.

One thing about kdramas is that the casts are all extremely good-looking without even trying and have model-thin bodies. For someone who's on the mend from an eating disorder, I think this could trigger some body image issues.

All the best! I hope her treatment is successful.

Thank you all for your suggestions!
(And thanks for the catch of the ballet / eating problems in the "Goong").
I finally chose "Splash Splash Love" (great suggestion!) and "Page Turner".
I'm also thinking of "Monstar" and "You Are Beautiful"...
And I will let the friend decide, if she passes it to the daugther or not... she knows her the best...

Thanks again and wishing us all healthy partners, kids... and all the family and friends around us!

Hey all!

Current goals: Keep on top of the dissertation (fat chance), finish Rescue Me without freaking out every five minutes (also highly unlikely), and eat lots of chocolate in celebration of my second-favorite month/holiday (this one I can do). I'm majorly looking forward to picking up While You Were Sleeping and Because This Is My First Life when I have time. Which may be never. But it's the thought that counts, yeah?

This week I fell in love with the energy-bunny that is Kang Daesung (which is weird cause the only reaction I have to Big Bang is respect). And while surfing the internet I saw how he had lost his light before, but now has it totally back 😄😄😄
The episode of Big Bang in Radio star when even Kim Gura &co. could not find anything to trash cause they were self-trashing. And the last minutes when Daesung was like "wow, I guess you have softened up" and jumping aroung like a Red Bull add almost killed me.
Come back to k-ent for the remaining time before enlistment D-Lite. Please 😅😆😆😆😆

I am progressing from my obsessive-inert state. I am still watching my obsession's dramas, LOTJ, WGM, videos but I managed to start a new show!

Time travel isn't exactly my favorite but Go Back Spouses is much more. If you could turn back the clock and change your life, what would you change? I think this is one question that will across anyone's mind at some point in your life.

I have friends who are divorced and friends who are living in loveless marriage because of kids. Can I expect their answer to be a straightforward "Yes"? I think once you have a kid(s) in the picture, the implications change. Sure, you can change your life and have a wonderful spouse and children but those children will not be the children you have now. I got a feeling the answer would be a "No" It definitely would be for me.

Hi Beanies!

It's been awhile since the last time I posted anything at OT. I've been busy with work (as always). I've survived my first month of working (yay!) and I still manage to watch 10 ongoing dramas! I'm so happy these days that I got to go home after work and watch dramas at night (due to eng sub):
Mon: Revolutionary Love, Tues-Wed: BTIMFL & ToL, Thurs-Fri: WYWS & Mad Dog. Fri night and weekends will be the time I watch the other remaining episodes for dramas that air during weekdays and weekend dramas, of course.

I just wanna say, I love most of the ongoing dramas! It makes me looking forward to go home everyday just to take one hour or two to chill and relax with kdrama. Heeee😆

Happy Friday everybody!

Because This Life Is Our First reminds me of King Of Dramas - coz the main female character is a scriptwriter. Watching Jung Ryeo Won in Witch's Court all the more reminds me of King Of Dramas. 20th Century Boy & Girl reminds me of King Of Dramas too - coz of Anthony. Revolutionary Love though I've yet to watch it also reminds me of King Of Dramas, coz of Choi Siwon. Now, I just need Kim Myung Min to make it complete!

Sometimes it feels like me living in a k-drama.
We have a family business.
I took charge of the business after graduation, so that my father could take it easy.
Then came my younger brother who studied abroad.
My brother thinks of my father's way of doing business as out-dated, strict, irrational, ... all kind of negative adjectives I would think of.
I really want to save face for my parents in front of others, and prove to him that they are not always wrong.
I came in between their fights, trying to settle both works and family stuff.
He did not really disregard me, but, gradually, most of our decisions of ours contradicts and we fought.
I just wish my brothers to get rid of his judgement on my father, thus me.
However, today, we exploded.
We have never even fought for inheritance, just everyday works, why is it so hard?
Everyday I want to get out of our family business, each time, I stay for my parents.
Today, I really can't not take it from him anymore.
I told him points frank.
Do I regret it now?
I do.
I just can't....
How I wish a happy ending for my life drama?
Like the main character get her happy ending at the year of 30, by the last episode? Mini drama with 16 eps seems good, I can't wait for happy ending at 40, 50 with my brother!
My wish, our family dispute comes to an end, when each party realizes their shortcomings and begin to embrace the other again...

I'm not sure it can be solved tonight, I just feel better to post it here, I guess that's what good about being anonymous....

Happy Friday, beanies!

I have a weird question I've been pondering awhile now.

Do y'all think every actor/actress starts out with the aim to be famous or be a leading man/lady? Or there are some who go into the business with the expectation of being a supporting actor/actress permanently?

I've been wondering this a lot. I'm weird, yes I know. Lol.

From various talk shows and interviews a lot of them just wanted to act either on stage or in dramas/movies. I don't think every actor or actress are aiming for a lead role (sometimes I find it sad hearing them saying they don't have a face pretty enough for leading a drama). A lot of them say they reject leading roles because they want to work more on their acting range and build experience as supporting characters. I agree with this idea since they become scene stealers and are as good are even better than the leads.

5
reply

Required fields are marked *

Depends on their background. A lot of those who came from theater are more practical. They trained for years with or without pay. Take Ra Miran for example. She isn't as commercial looking as some TV or movie stars. She mentioned in an interview she just likes to keep on acting. Her recent popularity isn't even because she was a lead star, but more of because she's been a scene stealer in many dramas. But then you have someone like Yu Haejin, who has been a good supporting actor in many action dramas. He lucked out with "Lucky" last year which I believe was his first lead role in decades, and it became very successful. But then, he went back to supporting roles again in 2017. Supporting actors have the staying power in the biz. But luck really plays a huge role. Cha Taehyun, for example. He was a supporting character in Happy Together (drama), and then he became hugely successful in "My Sassy Girl." Since then he never became a supporting actor (It's not like it's his fault hehe). Many movie actors I know just want to act regardless of the success or failure of their projects or whether they are the lead or not.

Meanwhile, you have those who are trained to do TV and dramas, especially among the many younger actors. I personally think their training and attitude towards acting are limiting. The thing about TV and drama is that most of the time once they hit it big as leads, it's rare that they go back to supporting roles. And most of the time, it's difficult for them to recover after a failed project, which I think makes them different from movie stars.

Let's ask Lim Ju-hwan how it feels to be perpetually a supporting character. Lol

Annyeonghasaeyo everyone!

I'm in Seoul Right Now!!!!

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The trip has been awesome so far, I've done so much stuff I've only dreamed about and there are really Oppas Oppas Everywhere.

It's totally a dream come true.

The only down side is I haven't watched a single second of While You Were Sleeping last week and this week, even though I've seen the poster for it at the MiniSo in Myeongdong in real life.

But I've taken my N Seoul Tower photo at night and walked across the stones at Cheonggyecheon Stream ala Live Up to Your Name;

Gone to Changdeokgung Palace dressed in Hanbok with the Boy and visited Garden of the Morning Calm to relive my Moonlight Drawn by Clouds moments;

Walked down the Lotte Avenue of Stars and seen the Oppas there;

Had a total Kdrama moment when I left my backpack on the bus and had to sprint after it full speed to the red light at the junction- I banged on the door and beseeched the driver to open the door for me- at first he refused- they I yelled "가방!" or "bag!" in Korean and he opened up the door. I jumped on and grabbed my bag, said a quick sorry and was off the bus in a flash!
Thank heaven for good lungs, working legs, adrenaline when needed and my rudimentary Korean! 😝

Plus, just a few hours ago, we walked by Seoul Plaza and saw a Kpop performance there- I didn't even know who the group was, but the dancing and the feels were all there! Totally icing on top of the cake- my Seoul experience is now complete! 😂

Not to mention all the awesome shopping.

If you want to read more of my trip, my first 2 blog entries are up-

Day 1 in Seoul and my trip to Jeju. ❤️

I hope everyone is having a great week as well- I'm going to be savouring every second of my time left here till I have to go home (all too soon!)

Happy Friday everyone!

It's October! I know it's been October for a while, but now that the leaves here are changing and the weather is turning cooler it finally feels like fall. I like every season, but autumn might be my favorite. Plus it's almost Halloween! I've been trying to get in the mood for the holiday, which mostly just means eating a lot of candy and playing "Spooky Scary Skeletons" on repeat. I wish I could dress up this year, but I wouldn't have anywhere to wear my costume.

I'm feeling overwhelmed by all these new dramas lately. I just watched the first episode of While You Were Sleeping, which I enjoyed, but I'm still not sure where to begin with the rest of them. Last Friday night I watched The Handmaiden, which I loved so much I'm already calling it one of my favorite movies. Tonight I'm thinking about Oldboy or Train to Busan. Maybe I can catch up on dramas tomorrow?

I enjoyed the first AOY more, but now I'm a huge Park Eun Bin fan, she's so talented! Even more impressive that she's the complete opposite of her character in real life.

This week has been a long week. Been working a lot of overtime at work to meet deadlines. But mixed in with this busy week has been some excellent dramas.

Rescue Me : This drama was so freaking amazing. It not only is my favorite drama of the year (sorry Goblin) but one of my top dramas. Everything about this drama was perfect. Seo Ye-Ji and Woo Do-Hwan were astoundingly good in this. Actually, everyone in the drama did an excellent job, even Taecyeon did a serviceable job. The story was so well written and plotted. I never felt like there was a slow or down moment. Music and cinematography created the perfect atmosphere. I could write essays on how great this drama was.

7 Day Queen Finished this over the weekend. The ending was.. Ok. Was almost anti-climatic after all this turmoil and build-up that was leading to it and then it was like that's it? ok.. Still a beautifully done drama that is much better then most historicals.

Duel The drama was good and Yang Se-Jong did an excellent job in it, to the point I often forgot the 2 clones were played by a single person, but there were parts that made me scratch my head also. Characters sometimes made weird decisions or did weird things in the drama. Jang Deuk-Cheon was super annoying in the first few episodes. I really get that his daughter was kidnapped but he took it to an extreme. His character was just an angry bully until about episode 8 when he finally started cooling down. But the bromance between the clones at the last second was glorious and I wish the drama spent more time on it.

Voice Another excellent drama. Loved the partnership between Moo Jin-Hyuk and Kang Kwon-Joo. I also so happy they didn't have any romantic relationship, it was a relationship built on trust and friendship and a shared tragedy. Kang Kwon-Joo has this awesome ability that almost makes her a superhero in a way, but she isn't perfect. She made mistakes or wasn't able to figure things out right away, but I loved that about the drama. It made her character realistic and relatable.

Lost Love In Time Finally got around to finishing the last few episodes. The drama was enjoyable and everything finished neatly and satisfyingly. The sets and costumes were beautiful. I think my favorite actors in the show weren't even the main actors, but Xu Haiqiao who played Zhan and Gong Jun who played Che. The main characters were good but always felt a bit bland to me, especially William Chan. Overall, a beautiful epic fantasy romance.

Dramas I am looking forward to watch (but wont watch until they are done airing):

Temperature of Love
Mad Dog
While You Were Sleeping
Black
Revolutionary Love

But since those aren't finished airing yet I think I'll finally watch Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim. I'm not a fan of medical dramas but I've heard many good things and I watched the first about 10 min and was already intrigued.

Hope everyone has a wonderful...

loving this week's dramas so far, still watching Witch's Court, Revolutionary Love, WYWS, and of course Buamdong Revenge Club.

Finally gotten round to watching Andante, its not bad, I'm still curious after one episode and why everyone is saying the place is "to die for"

As for Black, i'm going to be following thru recaps for now.

And if I'm not watching dramas, I'm just sitting patiently waiting for SJ returns in Vlive.

Anyone has a recommendation tho for us tv show that is worth watching, something that doesn't contain too much love stories please, I sometimes want to get a break from reading subs, and the only thing of interest to me lately is good doctor and I've finished that already.

After several months, am finally able to comment again! Mary @mary, I don't know what magic you did, but THANK YOU!

I can't comment on Age of Youth 2, as I have yet to find it on a virus-free site. Hopefully Viki will eventually carry it, as rumored.
I am watching This is My First Life, my crack at the moment; Also, Temperature of Love and While You Were Sleeping. My kdrama plate is finally full! It seemed like the drought lasted forever (though in real time, maybe just a couple of months).

It seems like Open Thread is a little less populated than in former days. I think beanies now tend to share what they're watching on "What We're Watching" rather than here. And others seem to have dropped contributing due to personal reasons, such as real life getting in the way of important stuff like kdrama. Heh.
On the plus side, I can read Open Thread on Friday evening, and still get some work done around the house, so that I'm not overwhelmed by all my procrastinated chores on Saturday morning.

The common cold has hit the Pacific Northwest, and after congratulating myself for the last few weeks on my resilience, I find that it has finally hit me. I think a hot toddy and a few hours in bed catching up on dramas may be just the cure. Have a great week!
