Team Dramabeans: What we’re watching

So, what are we all watching this week?

What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

javabeans

While You Were Sleeping: I feel like I should be really into this show, but I’m just not there yet. It’s me, though, not the show, so we’ll see if my mood shifts in time to hop onboard what will probably be the next hit out of dramaland.

Age of Youth 2: I’m relieved the big mystery is (partially) solved, so we can make some progress on the relationship(s) front. Can we just give Ji-won the kick in the pants needed to realize that what she wants has been at her side all along?

Temperature of Love: The actors are charming and I enjoy the show when I’m watching it… but it feels sort of meandering in a way that makes it a bit of a struggle to keep up with. Also, I like the chemistry of the main pair, but I’m not sure I buy into the actual romance narrative, which felt like wham-bam-love!

Rescue Me: The show was so heart-pounding through its whole run that the ending was almost anti-climactic for me, although I can’t say I minded not feeling tied up in knots for once, since all I wanted was to see that cult to go down in flames and to save the people I cared about. I appreciated that I got closure in the ways I wanted, even though the story didn’t tie up everything neatly and deliver a bow-wrapped ending for everyone, like the fragments of the cult left behind. I wished for a tiny bit more closure between Sang-mi and her saviors, but the ending felt realistic and true to the characters. And now we’ll all look up Woo Do-hwan to see what he’s doing next, yes? (Hint: It’s Mad Dog.)

My Golden Life: I don’t know why this show is as popular as it is (ratings-wise). It’s nowhere near as good as the other 30 percent dramas we’ve had in the past year, though admittedly I find it easy to watch. It’s just that the plot is weirdly fantastical, and I don’t really care about who’s a chaebol, and who’s not a chaebol, and who thinks she’s a chaebol but isn’t and who is a chaebol but thinks she isn’t… On the plus side, it seems like every week the plot gets a shake-up, so it does move along.

Criminal Minds: On the upside, it’s over!

Currently recapping: While You Were Sleeping

Age of Youth 2: Kang Unni~! It was such a breath of fresh air when she returned to sass the pity party out of Ye-eun. I’m really enjoying all of her scenes in the second season, because once all six girls were together in the house, it felt whole again. I miss her crazy energy, and the way she just blurts things out with no filter. Visit more often! And bring more ice cream!

Temperature of Love: I like this reunited-lovers setup, which feels like a second beginning to the show and imbues the relationship with more emotion. Time and distance makes the misunderstandings and regret between them seem very natural. Mostly, Seo Hyun-jin is just great at this sort of prickly, difficult heroine, which is why I’m invested.

Rescue Me: I’m a little disappointed in the ending, just because the entire season was a tense, amazing buildup to this one climactic rescue, and I wanted more by the time it was done. Maybe no finale can live up to that kind of buildup? I just thought that if they had taken this long to plan their rescue, the moves would be more complex and twisty, and less smash-grab-run! But I’m satisfied with where our characters end up, and in my mind Sang-mi bakes Dong-chul a cake, because that’s the least you can do for a guy who joins a cult to save you, and then he asks her out to jajangmyun and the rest is history.

Currently recapping: Manhole

Rescue Me: I started Rescue Me (my first OCN show!) to see who this rising talent Woo Do-hwan is, and I am so, so, so smitten! I can’t wait to see him in Mad Dog alongside Yoo Ji-tae whom I’ve missed since his steamy turn in The Good Wife. I binged Rescue Me, and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. It was steadily paced with very little fat, and the story felt complete. Sang-mi is one of the most compelling heroines I’ve seen in a K-drama, and it was so refreshing to see not a damsel in distress, but a total badass of ironclad will and determination. The Muji bumpkin boys may have been instrumental in her escape, but she was the one who made it happen. Looks like I’ll be paying more attention to OCN’s shows from now on!

mary

Unknown Woman: This show started as a laugh-watch for me, but when I found myself messaging a friend during her job interview just to say, “OMG Son Yeo-ri is Hong Ji-won’s daughter!!!” I couldn’t deny it anymore. I was in crackjang territory. The “final” 20 episodes were just as crazy as the first 80, but somehow they felt shorter when I became invested in everyone’s outrageous schemes. Only time and Song Chang-eui’s new show will tell if this is a one-off thing or I’ve really become a makjang-enthusiast.

Lovers in Bloom: The grandma doesn’t deserve a grandson like Tae-jin. The chairman doesn’t deserve his wife. The wife doesn’t deserve her riches. Hee-jin doesn’t deserve her husband. Chaebol guy doesn’t deserve Moo Gung-hwa. And Jae-hee doesn’t deserve that coif. Everyone else is okay.

Age of Youth 2: Writer-nim, I love you, but didn’t you make Season 2 to finish Ji-won’s story? So where is it? Because these 5-minute clips of her and Sung-min per episode don’t count as a full story. You’ve been distracting me with Eun-Hoon cuteness the past few episodes but I’m watching you closely with only a few episodes left. If Ji-won dies a virgin and Sung-min dies of heartbreak (also a virgin) I’m never gonna watch Season 3! So there!

Rescue Me: I believe this show made us suffer for a reason. I believe we have seen hell so we can meet Sang-mi and Dong-chul and the rest of the gang who will show us the light and the way to paradise. I believe that this show is a gift from the Drama Gods! I believe that this team will make more shows of this quality in the future! Samalamalamala shalallellolelelalalalalalala~

SailorJumun

While You Were Sleeping: What is it about Park Hye-ryun’s dramas? What is it?? They feel ethereal and magical, and not just because of the obvious fantasy elements. And once again, her characters are flawed but in the most likable way. They don’t have to try to get me to root for them because I’m already there. I especially love how Jae-chan shines like a ray of hope for Hong-joo after she spent years in a dark dream world. I almost rolled my eyes when it was revealed that they crossed paths as kids, but I can’t really complain; this writer always manages to make the OTP’s pasts rich and meaningful. If Hong-joo’s dream with her dad was her first “psychic” dream, I wonder if something happened to trigger it. And perhaps the same thing happened to Jae-chan. Perhaps he’s had the same ability all this time without realizing it. I’m excited to see where this will go (it’s been a hot minute since I’ve felt this strongly about a premiere), but it’ll be tough to watch live… Can someone wake me up when it’s Wednesday?

Age of Youth 2: The words “Mom’s here!” have never felt so rewarding. It was the perfect time to bring Yi-na back into the show—she got Ye-eun back on her feet AND she finally met the sixth Belle Epoque housemate. I can’t help but wish for all six girls to live under the same roof. Imagine the hijinks that would ensue! Although, there is enough craziness going around as is. I’m still reeling from that cliffhanger.

Hi there Hagsaeng! Didn't see you on the OT...was wondering where you were..🤗

Agree with your comment about Strongest Deliveryman. I mean I don't ever re-watch dramas but this isn't one I'd recommend to watch twice. I don't mind watching clips and videos of Ji Woon and Jin Gyu though...
And of course the drama did make me laugh so overall I was satisfied with it, even though I thought the ending was rushed.

Two Cops will air after 20th Century drama, so it'll be on Mon-Tues slot. Since there's current news that said 20th Century drama will be aired on Oct 9th (Gosh, 9 dramas premiere on the second week of Oct), it means that Two Cops will be coming out in early Dec.

2

Oh thank goodness! Early Dec is fine by me! 😅 I'd rather live-watch it rather than put it on hold because of my practicum..😑😔

ROFLMAO!

Hong-ah is just the flower snake to do it, too. Jo Bo-ah is up to her old tricks again after rustling at least one boyfriend in SWEET STRANGER AND ME / MAN LIVING IN OUR HOUSE. If Hong-ah is going to be such a backstabbing backstabber towards Hyun-soo, she should at least perform some kind of public service. Shanghaiing Daniel from Crazy Mom sounds like a start. ;-)

Girls' Generation 1979: The juxtaposition of adult and teenager characters' reaction in front of possible changes was just so great. It squeezed my heart whenever Jung-hee came to one of her realization that she actually could do things differently or that people in the same role could behave differently from observing Hae-joo. And I'm so proud of her for putting those observations to practice with her teachers or parents. I'm also glad we got many fully-fleshed characters so that even when they were put into cliché situation like love triangle, it was always solved in a very original and organic way. (Like adorably showing off to the girl you wanted to woo and her crush that you are much better at maths than he was.)

I finished Age of Youth S1 this week. I didn't expect this drama to grab my attention from the get go, but it did exactly that and more. They make it so easy for me to put myself in each of the girls' shoes, feeling their pain and longing as they battle with their own "ghost". And I freaking love their everyday interaction, whether it's teasing each other, chatting and laughing together, cleaning the house, bickering, or spilling secrets over beer.

Marathoning Age of Youth S2 this week. At first I'm afraid the writer would focus more on the romance plot, but this season is still revolving around the girls and their complicated relationships. I love the extra focus we got from other friendships beyond our Belle Epoque girls like Ye-eun and her 2 BFF or Eun and Ye-ji. I also really appreciate how charming and unique our boys are, with their own stories and issues to tackle with. And if it come with cute lovelines as a bonus, all the better for us.

Aside those two, I'm starting to watch Love Me If You Dare to get my dose of thriller drama because I skip Save Me (too gritty for me)

Dramas
Currently watching

1. While you were sleeping: For me, the drama is making me believe that dreams comes to pass sometimes and when they do, especially bad dreams it can easily be avoided. Been a while I watched any of the leads drama. Am happy to watch this drama

2. My Golden Life: This drama feels like *Glass Mask* the mistaken identity and so on. I really don't like Ji An'so mother for what she did. For no reasons should she have sent her daughter to the right family. More like she sold her daughter.

3. Temperature of Love: it's just too real to be true. I really enjoy the cinematography and the leads. Very interesting drama.

4. Criminal Mimds: I started watching this drama thinking I will feel the action but I was disappointed. I dropped it along the way but I try to catch up by reading the recaps.

5. Live up to your name: OMG, am scared of the pain Doctor Heo Im is experiencing. I hope it doesn't disrupt his going back to Seoul. I want the both of them to have a happy ending.

Variety
1. 2 days 1 night: My best variety. It always brings laughter to my face. To the extent, I have been told to stop disturbing the peace in the office when laughing.

2. Let's eat dinner together. I just want to start and I hope I get to laugh also.

Also, thanks to drama beans, my week days are always interesting.

I'm currently head over heels with Temperature of Love! I'm actually a bit sad that I'm live watching it because I want it all NOW haha. On the other hand, I also get the feeling that this one's something that gets better through a good simmer, so I'm also willing to wait.

I didn't have much expectations for While You Were Sleeping because I have bad memories of Suzy in UF, but she's faring better in this drama. It's quirky and charming, and I love that she and LJS seem to fit into their roles pretty well.

As for Hospital Ship... maybe it's time to abandon ship? Heh. You can't take away the fact that the leads can act, but I still can't get on board with the secondary characters who are either overacting or underwhelming. It's a shame because Ha Ji-Won, Kang Min-Hyuk and Lee Seo-Won are doing great. If I do keep watching, I'm sticking around for the three and skipping the other side or bit stories that are pretty much meh to me.

I'm also trying to get into Live Up To Your Name but I don't particularly enjoy watching the leads. I'm not feeling the chemistry (yet? I'm in Episode 4) and I don't have much interest for either of them and their stories. Do I stick it out or should I drop? Help a Beanie out!

Hi beanies! Hope you are enjoying the weekend. Did anyone catch Andante? Any thoughts? I enjoyed it but the main draw for me is Baek Chul Min who played an awesome bad kid in Solomon's Perjury and is now playing the good kid.

Other shows I'm watching -

While you were sleeping. Perfection.

Temperature of Love. This isn't working for me. I hate the depiction of Jo Boa's characters, want to root for Kim Jae Wook's character despite his power trip, and think Yang Se Jong is very lacking in rom coms compared to Seo Hyun Jin and her previous leads - Yoo Yeon Seok and Eric, even though I love Yang Se Jong.

Hospital Ship. Kwak Hyun isn't happy = I'm not happy. It's beginning to nose dive, this one.

Girl's Generation 1979. Perfection, take 2. The rookie actors here are a revelation and I can't wait to see their next projects. Add to that the music, writing and directing - wow, wish this was longer though perhaps the pace is just perfect. I really do feel like I'm looking at real people.

Age of Youth 2. I'm prepared to sit in protest outside the Korean consulate if anything happens to Song. Who's with me?

.While you were sleeping-while I am still uneasy about the show (I cannot trust it yet) I am loving it so much, the beautiful cinematography, clever writing from PHR, the connections between the characters-like the mother daughter relationship and that scene at the end of Episode 1-it took my breath away. It is such a brilliant mix of genres, complete entertainment but full of depth and meaning. I am so happy I am reviewing it. My current crack drama.

Temperature of love-I do not know really. I have not watched a lot of episodes now, I was kind of bored with it, I love both Seo Hyun Jin and Yang Se Jong but I do not care for their pairing or for the side characters really. I may come back to it or maybe I will not.

Age of Youth 2-I love this season but I get less interested in the episodes with the slow subs (but I do thank them for their work) because I read the recaps before watching.

Agreed about Temperature of Love. It's proving to be somewhat dull for me as well - maybe because there's a lot of talking and not much showing or doing? Temperature Of love feel dull because a dull acting by three leads. except Seo Hyun Jin, none of the three leads up for the task. Their acting are dull. The difference when your actor doesn't add up fire into your good line does make the difference. Unfortunately, they are the one who dominated screen time.

When people talk about characters being "flawed" I have never understood it. My definition of flawed would be a character like Jang Do-han in Lookout or the Mad Dogs in the original Bad Guys. Characters you'd normally hate, but you can't help but root for. So, when characters like the leads in While You Were Sleeping are described as "flawed", what kind of flaws are you talking about?

3
14
reply

Required fields are marked *

Ohhhh Jang Do han was one sexy flawed guy indeed. Hmm, I have not seen WYWS, but maybe their definition of "flawed" is more the "I like this character a lot, but (s)he has this one/two? really bad/annoying trait(s) that I don't like?" Idk. Lee Bo Young's character in IHYV is a good example I think. Likeable, but oh was she very imperfect 😝

I'd imagine she's the type that if you met in real life, it'd take quite a while for you to warm up to her. She couldn't be bothered what you thought of her, she didn't even really care about her job and was just in it for the pay at first, plus she was incredibly vain and haughty to boot. However, as with Park Hye-ryun's heroines, at least from what I've seen in IHYV and Pinocchio, she always endues them with big hearts, a willingness to stand up for their beliefs and a funny, endearing side that always draws in particular Lee Jong Suk's characters to them. Lol. Also, they usually have pretty awesome parents. 👍🏻😂

Flawed is the buzzword to describe the term of "realistic and relatable character". It doesn't matter whether they are or not.
Just add the buzzword infront of a character and it becomes a valuable personality.

5

Required fields are marked *

Aaaah, I think 'relatable' as a buzzword is infinitely worse, it makes me cringe. Whether positively or negatively used.

2

Required fields are marked *

This. I agree.
Alternatively, I also feel that the word flawed is used for non-candy heroines and regular, non-chaebol male leads.

1
reply

Required fields are marked *

Flawed in this case usually describes more their personality than their moral compass. So for WYWS both characters are flawed in the sense that they are a bit conceited. Hong-joo is also unashamedly brash, while Jae-chan is a bit too stuck in his ways (that doesn't quite seem like the right phrase, but how he still speaks informally to his work sunbae or doesn't kiss up to the boss).

4
reply

Required fields are marked *

Maybe your own definition of flawed character is more on major flawed character so you don't think the minor flaw is a flaw. A relatable character who is imperfect is also a flawed character, but it is usually won't influence the storyline that much except that it gives more depth to the character.

I don't know what kind of flaws the leads have in WYWS as I'm not watching, but I'm sure they must have some flaws too.

My preference is not always the same with most beanies (and kdrama viewers generally) - not only drama but maybe oppa too 😆 For this drama, I personally don't feel the hype because none of the main casts are my fav, except Lee Sang-yeob. Besides, I don't think highly about this writer either. Among her drama, only I Hear Your Voice that I finished. I dropped Pinocchio and Dream High. I don't think she isn't a good a writer but somehow her drama tends to be great at the beginning but so-so in second half in my book. Maybe I'll binge watch it later if I have time, because I'm curious to see LSY as a villain.

Me too. I've found that my preferences usually run counter to what most beanies like. Park Hye-ryun and Lee Jong-seok is a pair I usually avoid like the plague but I did enjoy Dream High immensely.

3

That's interesting. We have had this conversation about romance in dramas earlier. Your favourites are/were office dramas and sageuks if I remember right. ^^

Lee Jong Suk and this writer do work well for me as a combination. But the biggest draw is indeed Lee Sang Yeob. He's fantastic here as the man with a sketchy moral compass. All this while being ridiculously handsome in a suit.

@greenfields 😊 You're right.
Aside sageuk, office & heavy legal/ thriller drama also my favs. The thing is, I don't really watch all drama in this genre and I can't watch this genre all the time too.. I have my own criteria in choosing drama to watch, sometimes I will give all drama a chance at least for first two epi, sometimes I don't. lol. I do appreciate reading people's opinions /reviews about certain drama, but I don't usually watch drama based on reviews/recs.

Thank you for your insights on LSY's character. I think he had to close his comment sections in IG due to some hatred comments.😂 He indeed has some great acting chop, he can be a puppy yesterday but psychopath today. When I first noticed him in Jang Ok Jung, I had a hard time too, to choose between him and Yoo Ah In's character.LOL

1

@seralovestteobokki - same re trying all dramas at times, and at times not.

About Lee Sang Yeob having to close his IG comments for bit - whoa! That's crazy. People really confuse TV and reality sometimes!! *face meets palm

I am loving While You Were Sleeping. This exceeds my expectation. I found the leads very likable, and they are bonding in a realistic way to me ( she likes him because he saved her and her mother. If I were her, I would love the person too.)

In contrast, and contrary to my willingness to love the show, I find Tenmperature of Love very confusing, plot wise, and the character development. Side characters are there just to fill in gaps or complement the main couple. I don't really understand any character at all because all of them seem very surreal to me. I agree with comments in DB that Seo Hyun-Jin here plays a character which is very similar to Oh Hae-young, the role which got her a Daesang. Without SHJ, I would have dropped this show since the first episodes. But with my love for her and still rooting for the show to develop more realistically, I guess I'll stick to it for a while.

(Eagerly waiting for the next episodes of While You Were Sleeping. I find Suzy very lovely and can totally relate to her character. Perhaps I'm as narcistic as she is since I'm always assume that someone likes me even with the smallest things hahahaha) 🐹

Just like "she likes him because he saved her and her mother," he is going to like her because she saves his brother. They can't escape their family connection since their fathers.

Temperature of Love: Dropped. The lead pair isn't doing anything for me, and I signed up to watch Kim Jae-wook but since the lead pair is not interesting to me, it's too much wasted time to watch them.
While You Were Sleeping: It has moments when I laugh out loud, but on the whole I keep zoning out. Also, all the timelines are confusing. I did not like feeling like I was missing something trying to figure out if the girl who had a premonition was Nam-joo or another person with the same "power".
Hospital Ship: One word, TAMASHA. When you put two of my favourite women in a show I feel somewhat obligated to watch. Even if I do so while rolling my eyes and screaming at the idiocy of it all.
Andante: I really enjoyed the first episode. I'm curious to see more about the village. Also, Nini bear!

in my mind Sang-mi bakes Dong-chul a cake, because that’s the least you can do for a guy who joins a cult to save you, and then he asks her out to jajangmyun and the rest is history.

i'd like to thank all the drama gods listening for you @girlfriday. Happily adding this to my headcanon about what happens after the end XDDD

I wasn't even like this when Forest of Secrets ended and that was helluva show!

My week went like this
- check AOY2 subs - wishful thinking, not that fast
- watch TOL - 😐😐😐 switch to TKL 🙂🙂🙂
- check AOY2 subs - not that fast 😔😔😔
- watch TOL - 😐😐😐 switch to HJH clips 😍😍😍 switch to TKL 😊😊😊

- watch TOL - 😐😐😐 switch to TKL 😍😍😍 stalking HJH 😎
- check AOY2 subs - where are you? 😭😭😭
- watch TOL - 🤔 switch to While You Were Sleeping 😐🙂😊
- check AOY2 subs - yippee! 🎉🎉🎉🤔🙄 couldn't understand first cut of indon-eng subs.
- watch WYWS 🙂 switch to stalking HJH 🤒
- AOY2 subs version 2 finally made sense 🎉🎉🎉
and what did I do? I watched White Christmas!!!!! 🙄🙄🙄

I don't know why it took me such a long time to realize that I could watch AOY2 Chinese subs. Ep 11 is already out.

My watching is also in bits and pieces because I kept switching dramas and do all kinds of unproductive things like work and eh...trawling the net.

Now, I have to catch up AOY2 and watch ep 12 tomorrow.

Live Up To Your Name - I'm not at all looking forward to the ending. Each episode is so beautiful on it's own and each moment of happiness is hard won, as is each moment of sadness gut-wrenching. I love Heo Im and Yeon Kyung too much to let go. All the same, I'm crossing my fingers and praying for a happy ending because it would be the biggest disservice to have these two dorks stay apart thanks to time-travel machinations.

Girls Generation 1979 - This too will end and I'm not ready. Mostly because the cast is engaging and fun and you get the feeling that this could have easily been a 16 episode drama. I know we haven't got most of the stuff we were promised but I cannot bring myself to be too mad because for one, I'm living for the slowly-growing friendship between Hye Joo and Jung Hee, Jung Hee growing as a person and most important, the cutest and sweetest loveline I've enjoyed in a while, that of Hye Joo and Young Choon. Also, the OST for this drama is SOLID. Solid I tell you!

Silly me thought that Jang Na-ra's new drama has started this week. lol. Just watched epi 1 of Borg Mom nothing amazing but somehow quite entertaning. Park Han-byul is also gorgeous as borg mom.

Temperature of Love - Looking forward to see Hyun-soo pursuing Jun-swoon this time.. But I'm more curious what made her perception of love is nothing special as she doesn't come from broken family, not that she experienced some trauma based on what we have seen. I believe there is more.. So looking forward to suffer with them next week.

Girls Generation 1979 This show is...ending? 😢 But I also at the same time looking forward to With's Courtroom, i just wish GG 1979 has 10 epi instead of 8 epi though.

Age of Youth - kinda expected about Ji-won, but I'm still shocked! I can see that the ending of this season might also becomes open ending, and this time, Ji-won is the one who will seek the psychiatrist.

The King's Woman Still enjoying this drama although I do have some issues, but I will save it until finale next week.. It isn't amazing drama, but I can still appreciate it. It is just that.. Consort Li is too forgiving and too good to be true. She isn't a dumb and weak character in my opinion as some claimed her to be, she is the strongest character in kindest way, if it makes sense. It is a total contradiction to Yin Zheng who looks strongest outside with no empathy but fragile inside his heart,he is full of complexity - lack of trust and afraid of betrayal from his loved ones. Quite tough roles for some young actors but if there is talent and skill, age doesn't matter.

Watching "Girls's Generation" and I'm loving it. I love how Jung-hee is maturing this week; she started to tell what's she's thinking when she disagrees. Slowly but sure, Hae-joo started to influence JH way of thinking without she's realizing it.

Bong-soo and Dong-moon are gold! They're just so funny!

Poor puppy Dong-moon, she follows JH anywhere only to be scolded by him. No worries, JH will realize how she needs you when you're not around. And I'm loving Young-choon and Hae-joo quiet romance.

This week "Age of Youth" Season 2 started turning into its dark side. Hope Song will be fine...

"My Golden Life": I don't know why I'm watching it, it maybe because of the hole "Father" has left. Despites of it's a makjang, the story gets more interesting. And I agree with Javabeans if it will be better if other actor plays Choi Do-kyung.

Bong-soo is quite a rare brother character in dramaland. It took me by surprise that he would be so eager to help Dong-moon win his sister's heart. I guess since Dong-moon is his bestfriend and he knows he is such a great guy, he is rather those two are together than watching Jung-hee tried to win the unattainable Jin oppa. I also love his wordless admiration and wide grin whenever Dong-moon successfully confronted Jin about his relationship with Jung-hee.

I hadn't really thought of Bong-soo in that way. Honestly, he's annoyed me with his sense of entitlement and how he's treated like a prince...but thinking back after reading the comments from you and @lemoncello I do see how he is supportive and really it's not his fault that his father prizes him so much more. There have been a couple of times where he's squirmed under his father's praise at the cost of Jung-hee.

Now watching:

With my unstable and inflactuate kdrama slump, I'm currently watching these three...

Age Of Youth: I am so invested with Eun & Sang Hoon's cuteness I kept on abusing those youtube buttons every minute or so. Like others, I want Jiwon and Sung Min to finally happen too - even though with only few more eps left I'm not sure if it's going to happen anytime soon. At least please make Jiwon realised what she has in front of her all along! And thank you JTBC youtube channel and that awesome Youtube subber(s), you had me at quick uploads and subs. LOVE you!

Lingerie Girls' Generation: Gosh the melodies in this drama really caught me and Jin broke my heart this week. I like that the characters in this drama are flawed, and Jin was the most heartbreaking one this week, imho. I mean, how can you NOT sympathize with someone whom everyone think is perfect and could get everything that he wants, but in reality, he's the opposite of that. Oh Jin..

While You Were Sleeping: A good start! Nervewrecking first ep and slower 2nd. Somehow it reminds me a lot of W's first half, which I love and excited about. But knowing how much W burned me, I have stopped overanalysing things and take things as it is. We'll see how it goes from here.

Yay, a Jin supporter! I've been seeing a lot of beanies on Dong Moon side that I thought I'm the only one who is rooting for Jin. He's actually a nice guy, but his heart is just not for Jung Hee. He's just trying to be nice, but it's misinterpreted by Jung Hee at the beginning, but I'm glad that Jung Hee knew exactly what's on Jin's mind when he's being nice to her. If Jung Hee doesn't have feelings on him, they could have a sweet oppa-dongsaeng relationship imho.

I found it really sad that he can get any girl that he wants, but the only one he likes doesn't like him back. :(

and how he desperately wants to help Hae Joo, but can't, and then he had to suffer quietly - those scenes slay me.

I feel like he likes being friends with Jung Hee, and respects her feelings towards him, but both of them know where his heart really lies. Poor Jin..

4

Required fields are marked *

I like Jin. He is sweet, mature, and very charming. My heart went out to him the moment he realized the turbulent in the adult's world, and that his father isn't the same man he knew all this time. I want him to go back to his little town because everyone important in his life are there and it would be too sad for him to go without saying proper goodbye to them.

That said, I still can't help but rooting for Dong-moon because he is a rare species in dramaland. Guys like him usually didn't become one of the leads, let alone winning the girl's heart. It just somehow feels sweeter to know that Jung-hee started to like him back.

I think it's tragic that he had to leave quietly without saying goodbye. He feels so alone, and lonely. I wish he could leave with a smile, instead of that sad long face. And I wish there were hints that he's going to be okay being away like that..

And if Jin is the mature young man, Dong Moon was the total opposite. He's adorable! I can't wait to see how he'd react if he knows that Jung Hee likes him too.

Don't know why I didn't keep up with the latest episodes on time when I have 2 favorite dramas. I haven't watched last week episodes of Live Up and Age of Youth, so I couldn't join in the recaps :( It's partly due to my old smartphone which is getting slower each day so it's annoyed me when I want to read DB

I haven't watched the last 4 episodes of CM too but I think I'll finish it with the help of fast forward button

I plan to try Temperature of Love and While You were Sleeping after this, and if they can't grab my attention, I plan to binge-watch old dramas in my hard disk; Tree with Deep Root, Missing Noir M, Police Unit 38. I think I'm in the mood for less romantic dramas :)

"If Ji-won dies a virgin and Sung-min dies of heartbreak (also a virgin) I’m never gonna watch Season 3!" Never truer words been spoken.

I'm slightly annoyed that there's yet another criminal trying to kill our girls, making Age of Youth an odd mix of slice of life and crime horror. But I'm glad to say I'm enjoying most of the story lines this season. I'm going to get a lot of hate on this, but I don't like the current trajectory of Ye-eun and Ho-chang. They're acting mildly obsessive of each other, verging on unhealthy, but it's seen as a cute relationship between a young woman and man. It's understandable from their history that they would have a tendency to cling on to anyone who understands and cares for them, but the way it's packaged is unnerving to me. Ultimately, I want a whole show dedicated to Ssong and Sung-min because they really upped their chemistry factor this season.

I'm also currently watching Lingerie Girls aka Girls' Generation 1979. It's a very sweet story about two girls and their relationships at a tender age of 18. I didn't expect much from it, but I love the realness of it. I'm very surprised at Bona, who is portraying Jung-hee, since she previously played a haughty character previously which I didn't enjoy much. Here, she feels fleshed out and acts the way I remember being at 18 (though she's definitely more extroverted and outgoing than I am). She's sweet but not to a fault, which is really nice to see among a sea of Candy's in dramaland.

I started watching Live Up to Your Name but for some reason I can't get into it. I'm really frustrated by this. It's a great show, I can attest to that, and both Kim Nam-gil and Kim Ah-joong are awesome in this. But maybe my mind is occupied too much by the female youth (which is my ultimate cup of tea) that a show like this doesn't have space. I've already watched 4 episodes of it, which is a good sample size. I might continue it if I have the will, or I run out of AoY2 or Lingerie Girls. We will see.

I recommend returning to Live Up to Your Name when you have space. The trust and love between the OTP is a bit "push and pull" but once they have a real understanding of each other, things really take off.

I hadn't realized the slowness was an issue until I read similar comments to yours. In fact, I found the show after three or four episodes had already aired. I binged on the first four episodes, which mollified the frustration I probably would've experienced.

Writer-nim, I love you, but didn’t you make Season 2 to finish Ji-won’s story? So where is it? Because these 5-minute clips of her and Sung-min per episode don’t count as a full story. You’ve been distracting me with Eun-Hoon cuteness the past few episodes but I’m watching you closely with only a few episodes left. If Ji-won dies a virgin and Sung-min dies of heartbreak (also a virgin) I’m never gonna watch Season 3! So there!

Mary pretty much nailed it. That's how I feel about the show. Damn I won't mind if there is a spin-off or even one special episode like Japanese dramas do, on sung min and song ji won. I feel like if we give sung min a stage to talk he will open up and start blubbering about everything he couldn't say to song till now lol. Don't break our hearts again writernim.
And this,

because once all six girls were together in the house, it felt whole again.

Ha! My thought exactly! Judging from their online popularity around the globe, JTBC should definitely consider producing a 3-episode Drama Special for our SsongSung. How awesome would it be to see more of them together doing investigative journalism -sleuthing all day, conversing in car and nights in hotels, Sung-min teaching Ji-won how to drive, Ji-won teaching Sung-min dance moves, Sung-min serenading Ji-won while she is falling asleep (and boy, Son Seung-won got some vocal chops!)

Ji-won's antics, Sung-min's quite support and his brand of exasperation.....I want it all and more!

Exactly, I would love to see them do more investigation together. Song is so quirky, eccentric and comfortable in her own skin and antics, and Sungmin is so used to her doing crazy stuff, that their chemistry and rapport itself is a great plot for a stand-alone show. The writer definitely needs to give us some closure on them if season 3 is not happening anymore. :'(

Rescue Me ❤❤ - Can't believe it's over! But I like the ending, it seems realistic to me, I guess because the cult is still there. It's kinda hard to destroy the cult completely. Sang Mi's smile at the end is too precious! I also love how there's no redemption for both Sang Mi's dad and Sang Hwan's dad, but Jung Hoon's dad, the cop managed to redeem himself. I'm satisfied too that Dong Chul is finally not alone as he's reunited with his dad. Sang Mi and Muji F4 are happy with their loved ones, what else should I ask for?

Temperature of Love ❤❤❤- Love love love this drama! It's chill and breezy kind of drama and the visual is too pretty. Yang Se-jong is so handsome and adorable, Seo Hyun Jin is beautiful and matured, Kim Jae Wook is so manly and hot, and Jo Boa is pretty as always. The setting is nice and the songs are great.

Lingerie's Girls Generation ❤❤ - I don't want this drama to be over! I love the 80s vibe and both main girls face their own struggle and differences in their own family. I kinda feel connected to Jung Hee's character personally, which contributes to my love toward this drama.

While You Were Sleeping ❤❤❤❤- Finally, this drama is here! I'd been waiting for this show ever since the casting news were out. This week's episodes did manage to reach my expectation and I had a really high expectation on this drama! I already love this drama so much that I'm scared that this drama will disappoint me at the end. I hope the writer will keep the pace up and give me a beautiful, satisfying, and excellence drama! Btw, Suzy has improved a lot to me with her acting! Or is it the director or the writer who worked the wonder?

Wow, I'm down to four dramas this week! But I'm planning to watch Age of Youth2 tonight and finish the dreading drama, Manhole tomorrow (yup, I still watch it somehow). I'm so behind with Live Up to Your Name , but I'm planning to catch it up soon. Thank God next week will be a pretty chill week for kdramas schedule as most of the drama slots are empty, so I could catch up with the remaining dramas that I haven't watched yet. It also means that next week is gonna be a boring weekend for me as the dramas slot KBS/JTBC Fri-Sat, OCN/TVN Sat-Sun will not have any dramas as Go Back Couple, The Package, Black and Revolutionary Love will air on the second week of Oct.

Still watching and enjoying God's Quiz, just finished season 2 😊
Girls Generation 1979 - The feels.. It seems exactly like the YA novels I would read in the past before sex+dystopian made that genre a mess.
Manhole - Sigh, it finally ended 😴😧
While you were sleeping - I really did not care to see it, and episode 1(with new numbering) made me think I was right, but then the second part came, and he dreams, so I like 😂😂
Age of Youth 2- This is so familiar, it feels like you're there with friends.
Save me - only episode 16 left, I already know nobody's dying, so I can watch it 😉😂

On October 9, may the Lord save us cause even 20th century boy&girl will premiere then.

PS. Suju comeback soon. I miss Ryewook soo much, and my enthusiasm has been cut since Sungmin is out 😠😠😢😢😢😢

No truer words. Some of these books I wonder how they pass as YA, and while I enjoyed dystopian/utopian books, it just feels like now every author is beating a dead horse.

I wonder if dystopian trend reflects the heightened level of anxiety of today's youth?

I grew up reading YA novels dealing with issues like brats we encounter trying to make enough money by babysitting so we can go to the movies with our friends, maybe our crush.

Honestly, I think everyone is just trying to ride off the back of The Hunger Games. Dystopian/Utopian novels have been popular for ages with 1984, Utopia, A Brave New World, Herland, etc. Every generation of youth has had their anxieties and whatnot. But, there really was a resurgence when The Hunger Games became a huge hit. Now you've got the copycats and opportunists trying to draw the same audience to their version of dystopia. It's dying down, but the YA genre seems a bit saturated with it at the moment still.
But, that's kind of how media works. Shows/books/movies tend to come in genre batches until a new genre becomes popular.

First, my favorite show that just about to end. Live Up To Your Name. Oh, watching HeoIm and YeonKyung such a heartache. Can they just happily ever after no matter which era they lived in. I nevet meet a couple chemistry that down deep like that. They're just here for each other. Heoim knows even when Yeonkyung didn't tell him, and so do Yeonkyung. She just there to comfort Heoim without any question. Maybe the actor performance sooo good that i believe even when Kim Nam Gil and Kim Ah Joong just starred at each other their eyes do the talk. And maybe I'll have withdrawal symptoms because this week is their last week. Oh no, my heart not ready.
Second, Temperature Of Love. Ok, maybe i have withdrawal symptoms from live up to your name, but i hope Kim Jaewook give me something worth 2nd lead material. Despite i don't like how the first week of the show, because Kim Jaewook appearance soooo little. But, slowly I'm opened to this show. Given how Kim Jaewook have more airtime. Park Jungwoo, I like his coolness. I just hope he doesn't goes dark.
Third, My Golden Life. I don't know how the rest episode will be going (42 episode to go). We just here at 8 episode and their secret isn't a secret anymore.
Btw, now I know why Dokyung family so awkward each other. And when Jian join the family, their awkwardness becoming less but even more awkward with Jian. And I recall thats why when Jisoo meet with Dokyung, their so comfortable at each other. Maybe their memory not remember but with their comfortable in each other presence.
And lastly, this week I'm marathoning Lookout. And wow! This show just awesome. Especially how two brother from different parent have each other back. Maybe the ending not to my liking. But I think Jang Dohan need to rest. After he fight for his father that long. Rest In Peace, prosecutor Jang Dohan.

I have many issues with While-You-Were-Sleeping but it is difficult to explain. Would nothing happen if they didn't dream? If it happens regardless, then why CAN they even change it? I think she must die (as was meant) to turn back all the terrible things that will start coming their way.

see comments #16. Don't think too much about it. Dont even dream of getting your questions answered. You'll be highly disappointed.

The drama is polished. There characters are relatable. I was surprised by how good the first episode was. But I am trying not to overanalyze. So, I suggest you do the same. Just enjoy the bumpy ride.

Suzy's charachter Hong Joo has been having dreams since childhood, the writer has yet to give an explanation why it happens , but one thing is for sure its not something in her control. So the question of " Would nothing happen if they didn't dream? " isn't applicable since they both can't stop dreaming and besides its the dreams that tell about the foreboding future,so without it anything could have happened- like maybe Hong Joo would have a normal life with no sad accidents or maybe bad things would happen but there won't be any answer for why it happens much like real life bad fortune.
And after meeting Hong Joo for the 2 nd time , LJK's charachter also starts to gets dreams. Hopefully writer would explain to us later or not.
About your questions "If it happens regardless, then why CAN they even change it? " Hong Joo has had these dreams and bad things happen around her , but despite all effort she puts she can't alter the outcome, untill Jae chan comes into her life and he also starts to dream the same dream like hers and he gets to change the final outcome of the dream by saving Hong Joo and her mom. So even after dreaming the accidents continue but with Jae Chan by her side he gets to change only the outcome. So Jae chan becomes her Saviour.
Since we only finished 4 ep (or 2 big ep) no one has the answers to your questions correctly, you will have to watch till the end to know if the writer answers your doubts or not.

On the side note and off topic , whether Jae chan becomes her Saviour or not is a question mark. Since Hong Joo had a dream regarding her mother and herself , it turned out be to very short with only small clippings of whats going to happen, but Jae chan gets a full blown mini film about the shits that yet to come in a dream, so he becomes her saviour. But later when they both get dreams regarding Jae chan's brother ,its Hong Joo who gets a more better explained dream and Jae chan gets only a tiny clipping, so I'm guessing next episode its Hong Joo's turn to be a saviour ??? Something about how they alternately got extended versions of a dream , intrigues me. Maybe thats how fate pushes them together to depend on each other and alter the future... Like you i hope the writer explains things like the origin of these dreams in Hong Joo's life and why it happens.

Lingerie Girl's Generation: I like the direction the story is turning now - that scene where Jung-hee starts dreaming of Dong-moon killed me! On the hole, though, I just wait for Hye-joo's scenes.

Temperature of Love: I'm just excited that we're in the present now, and the two of them can stop dancing around their feelings. I feel bad for Jung-woo, though - I hope he doesn't go rogue.

While You Were Sleeping: *drools*

Strongest Deliveryman: I'm really feeling the loss of this show, now, and it's painful.

Age of Youth 2: Aaaaargh, give me more! Waiting for episode twelve is so annoying. I thought it was weird how the guy that threatened to kill them all just left calmly, but whatever. The show did this in the last season, too, with Kang Unni and her ahjussi.

Code Blue 3 - 8/10 . Those inner monologues and thoughts. Interns are shinning now. A decent Medical Drama

3 japanese movies + 3 japanese shows.

While You Were Sleeping - 7/10. Good direction. typical story, characters and dialogues. Music is ok-ok. Pretty Su Ji and Lee Jong Seok. Entertaining but still lacks much.

My Golden Life - is making the ratings with the so simple storyline. This show has that predictable i-can-guess-next-scene vibe. Familiar, easy to watch, Easy to make you angry yet it works out. this is what is reflected in its ratings.

Hospital Ship - This is C grade show. Crap. 6/10. SHIP of any kind is The Thing. It is a big insult in the name of Medical Drama

Rescue Me - 6.5/10 .Planning to skip 13,14 and 15 and directly watch 16. avg. story, characters, actors. Predictable and cliche.
Snag Mi likes to tease or poke or play the idea of Damsel in Danger.
Idiotic bunch of characters all around. Too boring and dragged story. Not much character development. List can go on and on.

I went to Youtube and it recommended me videos of TVN - Lee Jong Seok and Seo Ye Ji.
As soon as i saw Jong-Seok with kang so-ra and hospital i knew it is the infamous Doctor Stranger.
I don't know why but i'm feeling like watching some episodes of DocTOR Stranger. ANyone wanna join me.

Potato Star 2013's Seo Ye Ji's funny scenes videos were right up there. Her deep voice suits serious characters but she rocks comedy in Potato Star. She played high-school girl and no one notices but Taecyeon is gild becuase he looked older. hehe

Temperature of Love - I like the show but all this Love looks pretty flimsy. Physical distance brings emotional distance. 5 years is a lot of time. You dialogues alone can't keep the show afloat for long.

Temp of Love: I agree with JB about the meandering. I felt it but you put it into words so well.

Rescue Me: I didn't personally feel the need for more drama at the end. In fact my qualm was that I thought it could have been less dramatic (Couldn't the coppers have had warrant to do a complete and thorough search of the "church" campus after Jo's confession? Did Sang Mi and Dong Chul really need to go that far to sacrifice themselves?) Still, I am a devoted fan from start to finish. I thought the very end felt realistic in a way that worked perfectly. It's so rare that I feel that way at a final episode, or even make it to the end. Gosh, I'll miss those characters!

For me I actually love the "meandering" feel of Temperature of Love. I love the banters between our leads and conversations between our characters, which is reminiscent of my love for watching a beautifully shot French film where lovers talk in cafe in the 5th Arrondissement, and carries the conversation walking by la Rive Gauche and through the Place des Vosges. Yang Se-jong would stop by the neighborhood grocer on their way back to his top floor loft by the Canal St. Martin and whip up a light supper (maybe soupe au pistou with crusty baguette) for his crush......

Now I am looking forward to watching The Package.

I'm so excited about this crop of new dramas - it's been such a long time since I've been properly invested in any drama, let alone three simultaneously airing ones, so dramaland's feeling preeeetty good right now, hehe.

Temperature of Love: I'm actually really surprised that a lot of commenters don't seem to like this show haha - I find it super charming right now, although I do find myself doubting how much plot the writer can sustain for 20 whole episodes. The regret at a could-have-been feels real and palpable, but I'm racking my brains at what the possible complications could be this time round, and how they'd fill 16 long hours. I'm crossing my fingers so hard that it's not going to end up in a love square with two scheming second leads and an overbearing mother, but.......oh well, let's not get so pessimistic so soon LOL.

Age of Youth 2: cried maybe 3 times in this week's episode. :( My poor Ji-won. The fact that one storyline has been consistently overpowering the rest (i.e. Ji-won and Sungmin's) means that I get really antsy in all the other girls' storylines (Ye-eun's and Jin-myung's in particular seem to have lost steam), and I can't work out if the pace has actually slowed down, or if my interest has just completely shifted solely to Ji-won. But also!! KANG!!! YI!!! NA!!!!! <3

While You Were Sleeping: it really does seem like it's on track to becoming a huge hit. It's too early to love it yet, but I do enjoy it, and I find myself hoping that it swings a little more towards its comedic side, rather than its mystery/melo side.

Rescue Me
That was one heck of a suspense filled ride,Show. Thank you for introducing me and the world, Woo DoHwan.

Temperature of Love
Reunited lovers just gets to me for some reason + Seo Hyun Jin always do this relatable female characters that keep me interested. Still wondering how Yang Sejong will fare in a romance drama. Kim Jaewook is still dominating my screen with his charisma, but please don't go the dark path.Same goes to your character,Jo Boah.

Age of Youth 2
The waiting time for subs is killing me, week after week. But I still love this show. Oh and I totally agree with @mary about Jiwon and Sungmin. There would be hell to pay, Writer-nim. But please don't lessen Eun & Hoon's scenes too.

Lots of new upcoming dramas and I'm currently watching and loving Hospital Ship and While You Were Sleeping. Don't know what it is about these two dramas, but they are the kind I can watch over and over without getting bored, and for me, they are an easy watch.

I'm liking Temperature of Love, the characters have been fleshed out, now I want to see where the writer goes with this.

Loved Rescue Me. Seo Ye Ji owned her role as Sang Mi, though she had to pay an emotional and psychological price for this. Method acting is hard! Woo Do Han is a raw gem, love to see his other work, and am eagerly anticipating Mad Dog. Even Taec held his own at the end.

I like the first episode of Andante. Found it weirdly funny with off beat humor. Kai wasn't bad, so I'm in for this drama unless it gets too draggy later on.

Watching:
While You Were Sleeping : I love our good guy and weird girl. That hospital bench scene was so hilarious, it always makes me giggling every time I remember that scene. As much as I love them, I hate the bad guy. I want to punch him every time he belittling Jaechan.
Age of Youth : I watched episode 11 raw. I only understand about 20% of the dialogue, but fortunately I fully understand conversation between Eun and Janghoon. Kyaaaaa... Finally she doesn't deny her feeling anymore. Huff, that's the only happy thing in this episode though, the other things are very sad and horrible especially when our girls being tortured.

Rewatching:
I Remember You : watch it again because I forgot how the brothers reunited.

Droping/Putting on hold:
Temperature of Love : The first two episodes felt boring. The second two episodes felt better but still a bit boring. I can't courage my self to watch this week episodes.

Kinda surprising there are other people watching Lovers in Bloom, I've been busy since last month I couldn't catch up with the episodes and feel like giving up already.
But here I now, ready for another ton episodes of makjang like My Golden Life. I just skip some sad scenes and I'll be fine.
Is my Nam Gil oppa end this week?? I hope he'll come back soon with another drama. At least next year.
I'll watch HanYeSeul for sure. Yoon Hyun Min's drama for absolutely, Lee Yo Won's drama maybe, and got attempted with Borg Mom.. All or nothing.

FINISHED

Strongest Deliveryman: It was a good start stop ride that managed to be meaningful and cute. Glad it's done though.

ONGOING

Temperature of Love: Still really good. Episode 8 was a bit slow at the end tbh, but still loved it.

Live Up To Your Name: The juxtaposition between the cute and the sad manages to work somehow. The intimate moments are really good and believable. They're really into each other, so it will suck if they have to part ways in the end.

Together With Me: Haven't watched this weeks episodes yet probably because I'm not looking forward to the crap we have to deal with this week. Really hoping next week's episodes are more compelling.

DROPPED

While You Were Sleeping: First episode was engaging, second episode not so much. I think my problem with show is that I'm looking down to road to see how things might play out and I'm non to thrilled.

Age of youth 2 : I might be in the minority here, but i am loving this season much much more than the last one. Sung min and Ji won needs to be totally in another 20 or 16 ep drama, because they HAVE got everything i want in a rom-com. I just love them to pieces. I love the other couple, Eun and Jang Hoon, and this couple is so refreshing..

While you were sleeping : I knew it from the first time it announced, this drama is going to become a hit both in ratings and the content. I liked the 4 ep so far, and glad to see Jong Suk's wtf expressions than his subtle looks from his previous shows.
Hope this show continues to become better and better in the upcoming episode and deliver to its potential.

Temperature of Love: I gave it a chance, but I just don't feel anything for the characters or buy the romance between the main couple.

While You Were Sleeping: I should have liked it, but I just didn't. I can't even explain why. The cinematography is good. Lee Jun Suk is not playing a genius for once. The acting is okay (Suzy didn't bother me too much; I found LJS a little underwhelming but fine.) It didn't feel too similar to Park Hye-ryun’s other projects like I feared. Something is just missing for me.

I would suggest you to take a break from kdramas right now. I know how you are feeling. It seems all the shows r too boring and everything is missing right. It was like that for me too when goblin was airing. I really didn't get the hype since it was too underwhelming for me. However the last 2 months the only drama I watched was hospital ship. Now I am watching temperature of love and while you were sleeping and I love them. It is most probably because I have rediscovered my love for kdramas after a long gap. Everything seems fresh to me.

How is having a high self-esteem (Nam-joo) or being principled (Jae-chan) something considered a flaw? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Being constantly obsessed with how you're seen or what people think of you would be a flaw in my opinion. Aren't flaws supposed to be bad things?

Don't worry . In reality 90- 95% enjoy the drama, only a few are out there to dislike it . Even in the most hit drama's there has been people who dislike them for various reasons. It might be their taste or god knows something else. And sometimes the reason is that watching too many dramas might make them non reactive to alot of storylines. But it doesn't matter since a huge amount of people like it and the loss of very few viewers don't matter, now. I hope with more episodes it delivers an awesome storyline.

Rescue Me : I'm in the same boat (hur hur) with javabeans and girlfriday on this sentiment about the ending not being a fully satisfying one, but I must say that the last scene of Sang-mi's dad carrying the huge wooden cross on his back and proselytising is eerie yet so real because I witness such scenes in South Korea and some other countries. The way Sang-mi's dad smiles blissfully in his fake paradise more disturbing than the other Guseonwon members in their trance-like maniac behaviour. Also, I wonder why Kang 'sado' was not caught for mishandling patients using illegal drugs, though I find it believable that the remaining members of the cult would eventually form a new group, because their twisted belief is rooted in so deep that they won't give up so easily. All and all, I'm just happy that the boys and Sang-mi made it out alive. 될지어다!

Hi everyone, I'm new here, well in posting I mean. More of a lurker... loves reading all the comments / recaps and news. DB is like my wonder directory to all kdramas.. so just sharing some of my humble thoughts:
Temperature of love - I like the cast but I'm still trying to find the optimal temperature to love the story. Writing seems a bit weak and SHJ's character is abit too similar to OHY. But she is a good actress and it's comfortable to just watch her.. so I'm not complaining.
Live up to your name - just watch for fun.. it's quite funny and touching at the same time!
Hospital ship - HJW is as impeccable as always. I just have problems with the two males leads. They are just too similar with each other, the face the built and even the character build up is too similar. It takes me 5s to register who is who.. story wise also had me spacing out too much. I hope I can finish this.
While you were sleeping - the first 2 eps are simply wonderful, beautiful and nice story telling..not perfect but it's good. So good that I wonder what else can they do for the next 14 hours? I wished that we have time to have more fluffy romance than diving right into melo.. regardless, just can't wait for next week.. !
