Ahn Bo-hyun flaunts his goods in SBS’s Flex x Cop

A snazzy new trailer has dropped for SBS’s upcoming Flex x Cop, buying our eyes with bright colors, pretty sets, and, not to mention of course, our story’s main cast led by Ahn Bo-hyun (See You in My 19th Life) and Park Ji-hyun (Reborn Rich).

The teaser takes us straight into the police precinct where our violent crimes unit is (mostly) busy working. As they turn to face the camera, we’re told in the captions that, “the priceless drama Flex x Cop is coming, opening fire in 2024.”

We then meet the characters in the sequence that follows, starting with our man-child hero Jin Yi-soo (Ahn Bo-hyun). All work and no play makes a cranky Yi-soo, who won’t settle for a boring steel handcuff when you can paint it gold. He’s rich and he knows it, and that doesn’t change now that he’s a cop. But as we learn in the continuing captions, Yi-soo will also be using his wealth for the greater good, teaming up with the violent crimes unit to lock up all the bad chaebols.

Taking charge of the group as their fierce team leader is Lee Kang-hyun (Park Ji-hyun), an experienced detective with a strong sense of responsibility and a healthy love for investigating. Rounding out the team, we’re also introduced to fellow detectives Kang Sang-joon (Bora! Deborah) and Kim Shin-bi (Revenant), in addition to forensics expert Jung Ga-hee (Longing for You). As the teaser comes to a close, the appearing texts promise us a series filled with catharsis, action, comedy, and melo, as well as a story focus on people.

Directed by PD Kim Jae-hong (Revenant, Through the Darkness) with scripts by Kim Ba-da (My Name), SBS’s Flex x Cop will be coming to our screens on January 26, following My Demon in the weekend slot.

This is actually looking pretty fun! Maybe this will be the first drama where I actually like a character played by Park Ji-hyun?

I often wonder is it the characters they play or the actor themsleves that just don't sell it? I haven't really liked any of her characters and I'm hesitant about the show even though I really enjoy ABH. I hope this turns out well.

Might just be the characters. She played a woman who was toxic towards her sibling, friend, boyfriend and colleagues in Love All Play. She was a scheming capitalist in Reborn Rich. Thankfully, she's one of the good guys here 😅
