Last weekend I was the happiest Beanie as I got to finally met irl the amazing @leetennant who planned a stop in my homeland in her trip around Portugal and Spain.

We spend one day and a half together and I am afraid I exhausted her showing her lots of stones and old stuff because I wanted to share my love for my land. If you’ve ever been to Galicia you will know how different it is from the rest of the Spain, at least the part of the country that is more known to the world. We had some wonderful sunny days which I made it very clear that was not how the weather is supposed to be, as in Galicia it rains all the time but maybe, a Tuesday in July. But she could experience my little Paradise in all its glory.

We visited the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, with a visit to if’s famous Porico of Glory and the rooftops which I hadn’t visited since it were restored a couple of years ago. Then I drag her around to show her some of our Celtic past by visiting some archeoligical sites (Castro de Baroña and Dolmen de Axeitos). And of course, we share wonderful food, better beer, and lots of laughters. I wish we could have had more time to chat a little more about dramas, but we just didn’t. Next time when I visit Australia, and that is a deal.
