I found a clips of Avatar (the cartoon) in Korean dub and hearing Uncle say \”Juko Wangja\” and Azula calling Zuko \”Oppa\” triggered weird feelings.

    The Korean dub of Thor: Ragnarok made me LOL so hard. And I can imagine the weird feeling you’re having right now due to the Korean dub of Avatar.

    HAHAHA! Just imagining Azula saying “Oppa” is making me cringe. Though I guess it would be in that haughty sarcastic tone of hers. Imagining her calling that guy from Ember Island “Oppa” though. Shucks! It’s twice as cringey! 😆

        Yeah! That would be more in line with their status. Though I guess it’s a longer word for the dubbing. Since “Zuko” and “Oppa” are both 2 syllables. 😅

15- Best Drama Villain
Dae Mok from Ruler: Master of the Mask. I don’t really know how to describe it, but I just really like him. The charisma, the wit, the backstory. In a way, he started out just like our main hero: he wanted to change Joseon for the better. But he went down a dark path and he’s fully aware of it. Plus, he had so much respect for our hero in the end. It was one of those rare times where a villain’s death genuinely made me cry. He’s incredible.

      Admittedly, I noticed, but I never commented about it, it’s no big deal, people lose and gain weight all the time. And yet there’s an article saying people actually insulted him about it. wow.

      My first YSH drama was actually Memorist, and for me he was perfectly ok. This week I started watching INAR and I realized he was a bit thinner. And? Does it affect his acting skills? Mmmmmmm, the answer is no.

        Maybe I saw INAR too long ago, but the fact that I didn’t notice at all means that the additional weight is not significant. This is appalling – YSH is an amazing actor, he shouldn’t be criticized because he gained a little weight.

    This is something that really makes me mad.
    I mean: whether you lose or gain weight is something so personal. There are multiple reasons that can make your weight change (because you’re on a diet, because you have some health issues, because it’s required for a certain job…), and unless the person talks about the subject you should not tell them about them. That’s politeness. It can be painful for that person if you point out the loss or gain. Just be considerate. Just respect the other part.
    This is so annoying!!! 😤😤😤😤
