Dramaland really threw back-to-back incredible dramas at me with Be Melodramatic and Extraordinary You. They wanted me to stop complaining about my drama slump and they succeeded.

Sad to finish Be Melodramatic, but it was a perfect ending to a perfect show. Thank you drama gods for bestowing this upon us.

    Viki still doesn’t have it subbed and my patience is running out. But I’m thankful to all Melo beanies for not putting up spoilers for the last two episodes 😊

I just saw that Netflix US is getting a ton of new kdramas next week (Cheese in the Trap, Tomorrow with You, Signal, Bring It On Ghost). Except, they are coining them as “Season 1”. So help me if they only release 8 episodes…

    They usually put all episodes of older dramas even if they write “season 1”.

Received my BeanieBox a few days ago, but finally got around to opening it and checking out the goodies. I am so impressed! A great variety of snacks is included and they are not the “typical” ones you see in other Korean snack boxes. Thanks so much, Dramabeans!!!

      So far I have tried:

      1) A snack cake filled with sweet custard: tasted good, but was pretty standard fare.
      2) Sweet potato sticks: the perfect amount of sweet and salty. They exceeded my expectations.
      3) Spicy chicken cracker/puff things: they had a hint of spicyness that I really enjoyed, but ultimately fell on the sweeter side like most Korean snacks do. Still tasty, but I love spicy stuff so I could have done with more of it!

      Hahahaha no choco pies! I love them, but I am glad I can try other things with this box. There are a few different custard filled cakes in here so I’ll have to see if any compare to the renowned choco pie.

    I love it. Granted, I’m a sucker for “serial-killer-operates-in-little-town-while-two-people-fall-in-love-and-just-try-to-get-by” stories (I blame early 00s French television for it) but boy, oh boy, do I want more. I understand you’re stance though; it’s more than a little jarring at times.

AOA’s cover of Mamamoo’s “Egotistic” is incredible. Queendom is such a good show if you enjoy girl groups. Definitely recommend checking it out!

    That was really good. AOA is one of my fav girl groups but I haven’t been keeping up with kpop lately. Are there only 5 of them now?

    This was honestly so good. I hope they win a round or two because their performance are BOMB. I hope no group gets eliminated this week because I live for the girl group interactions from this show.

    I wasn’t that excited for Queendom as it’s produced by Mnet but the girls interactions are cool! The show’s goal itself doesn’t matter to me as it’s great to see all girl groups I like (more or less) try different stages.

    I’m like you! I get all excited about the previews and then… don’t bother watching the dramas? Is this an illness?

      Same. I know for sure that I will watch one of them (My Country), but all the others look exciting and then… I won’t bother. In my case I have Kdrama Overload Syndrome: too many choices so I end up choosing none.

        That’s a real syndrome all right, as is Netflix Overload Syndrome. Two hours scrolling for a show and u end up falling asleep with nothing watched except trailers 😅

          Oh, I do that too! I spend hours looking trying to decide which show to watch, scrolling through lists and lists of them, and then realise I could actually have watched two episodes of something.

            I even save them on the watch later list, then i don’t watch any of it cos i’m saving it for LATER. It’s like what is the problem, just watch what’s saved as u will Never run out of things to watch!!

      Definitely an issue of kdrama overload mixed with a slump for me. My to-watch list is at like 100 dramas but I’ve been struggling to finish anything I start watching this year.

      Not gonna lie, the new shows DO look really good, though…I just have so much dramaland catch-up to do that I won’t end up doing.

    This is a slump but partial in my case because of the 8 dramas I’m excited to watch, i end up atleast watching one.

Calling it now: Be Melodramatic will be my favorite drama of 2019. The characters and dialogue are in perfect sync with my own life at the moment, making it even more enjoyable to watch.

Watched the first episode of A Moment at Eighteen and yeah….that\’s some quality stuff. JTBC has been pumping out great dramas this year.

Real life has really gotten in the way of drama watching. All for good reasons, but drama watching has always been my \”solitude time\” and there is a lot less of that lately.

Hotel Del Luna ep. 1 thoughts: The budget looks to be triple of Hwayugi and the direction is much better. IU is fabulous. Remaining cautiously optimistic.

    I think Hwayugi blew their budget on a killer OST and they only had like 5 dollars left for the effects. 😂 They are ridiculously bad. *shudder*
    This does look promising though. And yes, IU is fantastic in this.
