Beanie level: The Goblin’s underpants

I cant’t wait for Hotel De La Luna.

Or to be more exact, I can’t wait to hear Yeo Jin Gu shriek like a girl.

I’m starting to think this is the reason for the divorce. He rocks long hair better than her

Young Gu in suits = hotelier Yeo Jin Gu

Secondly, shall we take a moment to appreciate how wonderful Yeo Jin Gu\’s voice sounds every time he speaks?

A slump is when you have nothing to do but browsing through Beanies page, only to come to the post you have seen yesterday.

Now you have run out of your beanies posts. What should you do now?

I think Hong Jong Hyun\’s character will get the girl again this time.

Also, this is is his third character that has Wang as part of the name, Wang Yo, Wang Rin, Wang Joon

4
6

He should!!! He’s typecasted as the second lead who gets the girl! I’m waiting until the end to pick this one up!

    1
    1

I know, right? He should live up to his reputation and snag the girl.

If I remember correctly, in the Japanese adaptation, Zettai Kareshi, the human gets the girl.

plus… good observation abt him being wang third time…

I remember an interview for The King Love where he was asked for his thought on being a ‘Wang’ again after being Wang Yo in Moon Lovers. I’d be on cloud nine if an interviewer asks him the same question again this time around.

        1
        0

You should. I now understand why Hong Jong Hyun takes this role. Wang Joon allows him to have wider range of expressions compared to his previous roles.

I wonder if Yeo Jin Gu had to shave his legs for this role? Because robots should not have body hair and he has been parading in that knee-length bathrobe for 4 episodes.

If he does, I:
1. feel sorry for him
2. laugh my head off at him
in that order

Don’t all actors/idols do that? If you see some videos by soobeanie or grazy grace on Youtube, they spill some insights of this industry. Apparently not all but many get laser done.

    0
    1

They do? I never knew. I thought only actresses does that. I thought the male actors/idols only get laser hair removal for facial hairs.

Secondly I am too used to see Hollywood actors with their hairy arms and legs in movies and dramas.

      1
      1

If the occasion calls for it, they shave it all just as easily as any woman.

And yes, some do laser routinely to keep the length and density acceptable. The chest hair is removed all the time for the muscle makeup to stick.

I am always one day late when watching Her Private Life, so navigating Beanies page on Thursdays and Fridays is like navigating landmines for me. It’s so hard to avoid the spoilers

When I finally get my own apartment, I am going to get an orange cat and name him Ryan, but I will pronounce it \”lion\”

Yup. Definitely.

Make sure your new apartment allow pets. If not you can adopt a stuffed lion hehehe

Hahaha, a lion plushie sounds like a good idea for my current living arrangement.

Apartments in my country allow pets, if you keep it within the compound of your house.

Sulky Ryan Gold is gold

You have no idea how angry I was when I watch the continuation of last week\’s kiss in episode 7. The drama tortured me for a week only to fool me like this. Don\’t get me wrong, I love the lion, but I seriouly felt like punching him when I saw the actual detail of the kiss. Either him, or the writer. Or myself for being overly engrossed with the scene.

But I have to admit, that\’s a good plot twist and cliffhanger.

On other note, I have a very serious urge to change my DB banner from the bloody Wang So to Ryan Gold in glasses. You have no idea how many times I rewind the scene when he\’s wearing that golden glasses.

What\’s with that cliffhanger?! How am I gonna live until next Wednesday?!

Beanies, do anyone have any idea why Park Min Young and Kim Jae Wook has such wonderful height difference, when she looks almost as tall as Park Seo Joon in What\’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?

Moreover, accoding to AsianWiki, Park Seo Joon is 1 cm taller than Kim Jae Wook.

It couldn\’t have been because of high heels, because she wears them in both dramas.

I feel like PSJ may have been bending down in a some of the scenes or PMY was raised

    4
    4

On the other hand, I thought they had KJW stand on a footstand or something for that drunk scene. They didn’t show their legs in that one and his body proportions seemed off.

      3
      1

Seems likely, and that includes several other scenes where he looks so tall, making PMY looks so tiny in comparison.

        2
        0

Probably both and. They do that in dramas a lot.

      4
      1

I get that some scenes might require some height adjustment for the actors, to assist filming. But in these dramas they seems unnecessary, unless for cosmetic reasons, or is major height difference is trending right now?

        2
        1

They had lots of wide angle shots in the office in WWWSK. They couldn’t put anything under her feet. But also they mostly stood with a distance from each other. That can be misleading. Though raising KJW sounds possible.

      2
      1

Hahaha I can imagine the already tall KJW standing on some raised platform during filming. It must’ve looked funny XD

        2
        0

I am currently watching WWWSK as copying mechanism while waiting for new episodes of HPL, but to me it looks like their height difference in WWWSK is natural. PMY is around 165cm tall while PSJ is 186cm tall. By adding around 10 more centimeters to PMJ’s height for her heels, it makes their height difference on screen seems logical and unassisted.

      1
      0

Park Min Young is actually TINY…. She doesn’t even reach any of their chins even when on heals… It’s either the guys were asked to exhibit their “manner legs” when filming or she might’ve been asked to stand on a crate when filming

    3
    1

I think her profile on AsianWiki said she’s 165cm tall, which is taller than average Asian female. But I might be wrong about this, since I’m from another Asian country, so the average female height in my country might not be the same as average female height in South Korea.

      1
      0

If you watch the earlier episode of WWWSK where they had company sport event, PMY wore sports shoes in that episode so you would notice there’s huge height difference between her and PSJ.

Her profile height is 164 cm, but I think she might be 2-3 cm shorter. K-netizens always point out that PMY looks shorter than her profile height (or perhaps it’s due to her body proportion). They guessed her height might be around 161-162 cm.

I never realized how big KJW is, especially his hands until I saw him with PMY. It’s because KJW has been acting along with tall actress previously, Jung Eun Chae (170), Lee Hana (173), Seo Hyun Jin (167), Seo Ye Ji and So Yi Hyun (both 169). Now that he’s with PMY, he looks bigger while PMY looks tiny. lol

I never realized how big KJW is, especially his hands until I saw him with PMY.

Hahahaha I had the same feeling too. His hand look gigantic compared to hers. It made me wonder how it is humanly possible to have such huge hands 😀

I am watching Kingdom. Just… Wow~

How am I going to wait for Season 2 like this?

I just finished Memories of Alhambra. Now I understand why the beanies are in such rage over the ending.

One thing though, how NPC Marco is deleted? Who deleted him? The drama only mentioned this in passing when Se Ju said that he came out of the instance dungeon once Jin Woo completed the quest and Marco (NPC) is deleted. From this, it seems like NPC Marco is automatically deleted once Jun Woo completed the quest. Which is weird.

as soon as sejoo was released from the game. All these bugs are tied to specific people right.. marco to seju, cha to binnie etc etc

    1
    1

But seju was not debugged. I mean he didnt turn to ash no didnt marco…Whyyyyyy? Huhu

      0
      1

seju was never the bug.. binnie was.. marco (offscreen) dissipated the moment seju’s id got erased..

seju only had one id – Master..
whereas binnie had 2 ids by the end – zinu and master..

so people are unncessary hung up on marco.. it is kind of self explanatory

I saw Shape of Water because it seemed to be hailed all around as a great piece, …only to be so disgusted by unnecessary gore near the end of the movie. I had to skip to scenes, and this is coming from me, who doesn\’t even bat an eyelash looking at actual picture of human head and brain cut in half.

One critic summed the movie perfectly, when he said it\’s a movie about a lonely girl having fish sex. That\’s about it.

It was beautifully shot, but that is a question I ask myself anytime I have a conversation with someone about this movie. My co-worker really likes it, but he and gf love the director.

I didn’t like this movie at all. I appreciate that it’s Guillermo del Toro, but I pretty much sat in theatre annoyed that I paid 14 dollars to see it.

I feel sorry for Dr. Cha’s actor. At this rate, he’ll spend the rest of the drama in the same set of clothes, and no line.

5
5

And covered with fake blood. 😂 but his character is easier because he doesnt have to remember lines.

    1
    1

True. No line to remember, and no expression to emote either. Easy job!

On the other hand, imagine how painstakingly hard for the makeup artist to draw the exact same blood everytime.

      6
      0

Yes. I feel sorry for zombie cha’s actor too. He does the same thing over and over again. But i guess it does make him memorable. He must have mastered the death stare by now since zombie cha is always staring intently at JW 😆

    2
    1

This proves Hyun Bin’s strong presence; even the zombies are staring at him

      0
      0

Lol! Actually, I’m giving my husband recaps for this one because he doesn’t enjoy shows that cross over into ”horror,” but as I am, he asked if Dr. Cha had anymore lines, and when I said no, he was like, hey, I could play that role! And it made me die laughing.

I watched Love, Rosie. I ended up having to watch another cheerful movie afterwards to overcome the depression.

Don\’t get me wrong, Love, Rosie is a good film, but I felt too depressed watching how life turned out for Rosie and Alex.

The last time I was this depressed was when I watched Suicide Circle and stupidly followed that up with Battle Royale.
