Beanie level: Errand boy

Amongst all the shows I’ve been watching recently is weekend drama The Package. There are some serious stories unfolding as we find out about this group of strangers thrown together in Normandy.

I finally managed to catch up with Mad Dog.

I was about three weeks behind because I’ve been away several times and I’m away again at the weekend so I wanted to get up to date if I could. I always like a makeshift family!

I’m busy catching up and I started with “Because” 🙂

Found time for Dim Sum in London’s Chinatown on Friday. Afterwards I said: I think that guy’s Korean – probably from Busan by his accent. My sister-in-law was impressed by my studying of K-dramas!

It’s interesting to see what we pick up and what stays with us from watching kdramas, isn’t it?

I know. She said “How do you know that?” “From the dramas!”

I’m watching Dear Sister while I wait for Monday and Tuesday.

People are already counting down to Christmas in the UK!

We start Christmas countdowns in PHL when Sept 1st rolls in —- Christmas songs and all

I think it usually starts in October but it’s in full swing now!

This maple-like leaf fell on me yesterday outside Tate Britain as I was on my way to look at the Turner collection. I immediately thought of Goblin but I was on my own!

Wow. It’s November already and I’m back in London for a few days. I had to spend some time making willow stars so I’m miles behind on the dramas I’m watching. November’s theme has me thinking!

The weather was just right in Paris for walking and enjoying the sunshine but it’s wet here today which brings to mind images of umbrellas.

Just resting up a bit at home this morning after the Paris trip and before the next visitors arrive today. 🙂

I’m looking forward to seeing FT Island live at the Élysée Montmartre on Friday. It looks like an interesting venue! First gig in a few years and first Korean band. Can this ajumma still hack it?

The fangirl heart never ages. I’m sure you can do it! Hahaha

I hope so. 🙂 The brain’s keen but the body is getting more creaky!

You can do it! Have fun! 🙂

Thanks. I think it will be good. 🙂 Plus it’s an opportunity to see some art and more bits of Paris, which is never a bad thing!

You can definitely hack it! 😉

I feel your pain sista!! But you’ll do fine!! The adrenaline will get you through. It’s afterwards you have to worry about! Hahaha. Dragging your tired body home. 😂😬😁😉

Oooh, i’m going to the concert too ! \o/
i’m both very excited and very anxious (another ajumma here, with backache/agoraphobia/asthma, what a deathly combo XD , but i couldn’t not to go, so *fingers crossed* )

I finally went back and finished Reunited Worlds. Phew! Poignant in parts, extremely boring in others and too long. I may have to re-watch Circle.

9
6

Same. It’s a pity the drama stretched out the way it did. 32 episodes would have suited its simple pace just fine. I am rewatching Circle so I can remember Yeo Jin Goo in a good drama! 😀

    1
    1

The granny got on my nerves too. They could have left her out altogether! Yep. I think a Circle re-watch is definitely needed. It was so well done and he was excellent. 🙂

      1
      1

She was completely unnecessary to the storyline! They could replaced all of her scenes with that of Hae Sung and his family spending more time together 🙁

        1
        1

Yeahhh… Circle was the first drama I saw Yeo Jin-gu in, and I loved Woo-jin so much it hurt. Then I watched Reunited Worlds and Hae-sung somehow managed to get on my last nerves and cool all the love I’d only just discovered for Yeo Jin-gu. 🙁 I will definitely have to re-watch Circle and get it back.

@irishran had asked me for an update on the buckwheat in my Goblin’s garden. It’s time to cut it all down now but hopefully some of the seeds will germinate for next year.

Wow these are tall! I was imagining small plants!

    2

Ms. Greenthumb! Mine never got higher than about a foot tall.

    2
    1

I do have green fingers but I wondered if it is a different variety because it doesn’t look so tall in Goblin. I’ll have to check on that.

      1
      1

You really are amazing!!! They look smacking.. I never imagined they could grow so tall either..! Can’t wait to see what you grow next!!
Some day I’ll gather my courage and bring myself a flowery plant to take care of.. soon very soon

The seed was quite large and they grew really easily. Do try something! I used to grow a lot of indoor plants too. 🙂

All’s well that ends well in Chief Kim. I really enjoyed watching this show and I think that this is partly because the actors (and I imagine the crew, too) seemed to be having such a good time.

Oh. I just love these two. Now Seo Yool is an “undercover prosecutor”, working with our team in the Batcave. 🙂

12

Now they are setting Seo Yool up to take the blame. Chief Kim and Seo Yool’s man to the rescue. Goblinesque?

Our visitors left today so it’s time to get back to Chief Kim. Things are getting more serious and now he needs bodyguards!

I finally watched the first film in the Rurouni Kenshin trilogy. I’ve been meaning to watch it for a while but there was no excuse when I found I already owned a copy!

Kenshin is ❤️ . Best casting ever in my humble opinion 🙂

It was great. I bought some DVDs when I was in London earlier in the year and hadn’t remembered it was one of them. They’ve been waiting and we finally sorted everything out and put them on the shelves. Now I want to watch the next two!

      1
      1

I have the DVD of the first one only. I ordered it from Amazon because the legit stores in the small town I was staying in the US at that time were not selling any copies. The movie also had a limited run on select theaters in key major cities.

My friend sent me the movie files for the next two (ooops, sorry movie/dvd distributor 😊 ). Anyway, happy watching! Glad I’ve found another beanie who likes Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X 😊

a live action that I haven’t been disappointed in, and my introduction to the cutie – Takeru Satoh

I thought they were all good and it seems to be an interesting period. I love the details too. Of course he is cute, too. 🙂

Lucky you! I absolutely love the trilogy and Takeru Satoh. They did an amazing job casting him. He is so perfect as Kenshin. 😊😊😊

    3

I definitely want to watch the next two in the sequence. I had assumed that they were all set in an earlier period so it was interesting to find out that it was taking place in the late nineteenth century.

      1
      1

I will marathon the trilogy when I get my hands on it. 😀

Now I want to watch the whole thing again. 😍❤️

    1
    1

That good eh? It’s great when all the films are good. Is it the same director?

      1
      1

Yes it is that good. I think everything was filmed as a whole and then released in parts 😊

        1
        1

Oh. That is so much better. I suppose normally it depends on the success/funding.

Oh! This, I have to comment (with background): Satoh Takeru is my ultimate Bias. The bias to beat all biases. I don’t think I’ve ever fallen in love with anyone – in my life or celebrity – the way I feel in love with Satoh Takeru a few years ago. Thankfully I’m recovering now – but to end my mild and contained fan girl reaction:

Isn’t he awesome? ^^ I’m so happy he’s doing so well in his career.

Some people just take us like that and it’s overwhelming. 🙂 He is awesome!

I looooove Rurouni Kenshin! All 3 of them! ♥

I’ve watched it a couple of times, Takeru Satoh was really awesome and perfect for the role! And the fight scenes were just breath-taking

    1
    1

I agree he seems really well cast and the fight scenes were excellent. I need to get the other two now!

These two! And why does Seo Yool eat so much?

12
6

They make me so happy! Their chemistry 👌🏽 You’re ahead I’ve got to catch up 😍😍

    2
    1

Seo Yool eating so much became a running gag in the show 😂😂 love the way they made fun of it.

    But nothing beats the bromance!!

    3
    1

They’re so good together. I bet they had fun making this show!

Ha! Seo Yul and his eating totally became a thing!

Each time he appeared onscreen, you just had to check out what his snacks were. 🙂

    4
    1

He’s mostly eating and/or drinking on his own as well while Chief Kim is usually with his team.

      2

Yay! Team Chief Kim is back in the Batcave with ‘newbie’ Myung-suk. Dong-ha is great as usual.
