New stills and posters for vigilante justice drama Deluxe Taxi
Upcoming SBS drama Deluxe Taxi has released new promo featuring Lee Je-hoon (Fox Bride Star). It’s an adaptation of a webtoon about a transport company that specializes in helping society’s weak get revenge upon the powerful and corrupt. Lee Je-hoon stars as Rainbow Transport’s ace driver and former special ops agent.
The main premise of the story reads: “In a society where justice is lost, everything will be okay with one phone call.” Kim Eui-sung (Arthdal Chronicles) plays Lee Je-hoon’s boss, the CEO of Rainbow Transport. He’s warm and friendly to victims but cold and ruthless to perpetrators. Esom (Rescue Me 2) plays a passionate prosecutor who has followed an predetermined elite path all her life.
The poster below shows Lee Je-hoon looking out of the back of his taxi saying, “Will you tell me? What made you feel so wronged?”
Regarding the drama and his character, Lee Je-hoon said the following: “Since Kim Do-gi [his character] is a former special ops member who is now a taxi driver, I tried to emphasize his military experience in his aura.” He added, “I’m focusing to make sure that there’s no superfluousness to my movements to reflect the clean execution aspect of Kim Do-gi’s personality.”
Lee Je-hoon is also undergoing a regular diet and exercise routine to create a physique that suggests a strict military background. He said the training made him better prepared for handling all the action scenes required for this drama.
Friday-Saturday drama Deluxe Taxi, written by Oh Sang-ho and directed by Park Joon-woo, will begin airing on April 9, after the conclusion of Penthouse 2.
