Episode 16 of IOTNBO has been by far the best final episode ever written. I didn’t want it to end, but now I’m ready to be adopted into the family. Where’s the line for the matching shirts??

    I really dont appreciate that amount of abuse and hitting Moon Young goes through and then everyone just acts like its okay, like thank goodness Gang Tae’s always there to comfort her but WTF is wrong with everyone else in the show??? no matter how much of a bitch they think Moon Young is, she doesn’t deserve to be choked out or hit

        she hit the guy because he was about to hit the girl, she was defending her. Every time Moon Young has been attacked, its been her protecting someone or completely unprovoked. Thats the difference

          What has she been doing with KT?

          Editor exerts force to take her out of the house because she is having nightmares and it really unsettles her, he deserved her hitting him.. then what about her pulling KT

          Just so many so so many such instances… KT shouldn’t take care of ST anymore, but hers? .. while she with her flaws is charming right now, it does not mean that she is not dangerous or always justified.. justifying all her actions is nothing less than raising and conditioning her to be a brat

            I literally have no idea what youre talking about and you’re clearly biased because you don’t like Moon Young, the point i am making is that Moon Young doesn’t deserve to be hit AND neglected. As a child she was choked by her dad and abused by her mom. As an adult, she has been choked by a patient, choked by her dad, slapped by Juri, slapped by this abuser…..all of the instances of her being hit has never been acknowledged by any one nor as anyone thought “oh that’s kind of fycked up” instead they’re all doing what you’re doing. You are justifying being hit because you think she deserves it

          it is not me biased towards her character (because i am atleast using the same yardstick to judge different characters).. if you have to call out bias, you should call out your bias

          Your point to which i replied was about MY and the man she hit.. on one hand you were giving reasons for why MY was right, but those same reasons are some behavior patterns that she herself has displayed which you ignored and i was merely pointing that..

          So yea.. not my bias…but yours..and definitely this particular discussion was not about her childhood .. it was about her present actions and validity of it

      Seriously I say this or think this every week. At least this time GT was there to ask her if shes ok. She normally has to pick herself up and walk away on her own to lick her wounds. This hospital id the literal worse.

What I find really interesting is that MY just wants GT to smile at her while with everyone else, he\’s faking or he\’s told to stop smiling…..he doesn\’t even bother faking it with her

Watched IOTNBO ep3, and the writers have done a great job continuously showing how dangerous Moon Young could be not just to herself, but to others. I feel like if anyone is surprised…..

    by her actions this episode then they might have been trying hard to deny the multiple times its been stated that she has antisocial personality disorder. You can like her, bc I do, but episode 3 is a start of how she can be and will potentially continue to be, so it’ll be interesting to see how they lead into the romance, if they even get there at all

If there’s one trope I’ll always hate, it’s the “you got an abortion and now I no longer love you” some dramas love pulling now. Misty did it and so did Before We Get Married.

    It’s like if the guy wants the abortion, sure it sucks for her, but the girl won’t stop loving him but if the girl wants it, she the most vile being in existence and is undeserving of love and respect after that. Hate it.

      Wasn’t Misty a somewhat different case? There was a lack of communication, right? She got an abortion without telling him, right? I’m not sure I’m remembering it right. But if that’s the case, it makes sense to me. At the end of the day, she gets to do whatever she wants to do – her body, her decision – but the baby is equally theirs so the other party isn’t wrong for being hurt, angry and betrayed. She should have told him at least. I’d immediately distrust my SO who makes such a big decision without telling me. It’s our baby, let’s discuss it. You’ll still end up going through with the abortion but at least, I had a heads up and I had time to process it.
      People should really discuss these things before they get married.

        Yea, Misty was more she wasn’t ready for a baby because of her career and they didn’t communicate but my point is how writers use that as a reason for the man to hate the woman, like it leaves such a bad taste in my mouth cause at the end of the day it’s her decision and the way he and his mom treated her like she was some kind of monster for what she did is what pissed me off. I guess as a woman I just feel more understanding and tolerant towards abortion and I don’t like it being used in that trope. Kinda ironic that he treated her like a murderer for “killing” their baby only for him to become one….it’s not like she never wanted to have a baby, she just didn’t want one then.

          I get that. I really do. A lot of times a woman who decided to get an abortion is treated like she’s a monster. I don’t like the sentiments behind it either.
          On the other hand, there are also tropes that label men who don’t want their babies as being ‘dead-beat’ fathers. It’s kinda the same. Regardless of the woman’s choice, the man has to live with the decision whether or not he wants the kid.
          The difference, though, is that the K-dramas always give them a redemption arc in which they meet their kid and bond.
          I also see the similarities in matters of divorce. A woman who walks out without custody is made into the scariest demon after Satan himself. I
          That’s just my observation.

        I don’t watch this drama, but I have a question about this issue:

        What if she decided to inform him about the decision to go through the abortion but he decided he wanted to keep the baby? Won’t it put her in a position where she will be forced to carry the baby to term against her will, knowing how taxing pregnancy and labor is to a woman?

          That’s the thing though. These scenarios are not always black or white. I understand her not telling her husband. I don’t blame her. She didn’t want to have to be convinced to keep the baby especially because in this scenario, there was no indication that it was about having the baby. It was more of the timing.
          At the same time, I don’t blame the husband for being mad at her. That’s why discussion is key. Having such conversations before marriage is key and having a dialogue is always key.
          At the end of the day, it’s the woman’s decision. She can decide to keep the baby irregardless of the external opinions but it’d be difficult to say she can’t be pressured into keeping a baby she doesn’t want.

            Thanks for the reply. I agree with what you said, especially about it being the woman’s decision.

            However, depending on which part of the world the woman is in (take my Southeast Asian country for example), sometimes, she did not get to choose at all. So in such situation, I understand her motivation to do what she did.

I have been having the worst, and I mean the WORST, case of drama slump I\’ve ever had. Like nothing keeps my attention and after like 5-10mins I get bored of a drama & don\’t feel the need to continue.

    That being said, through this struggle, I managed to binge-watch the 2018 remake of Rich Man, Poor Woman in 2 days and enjoyed every moment of it, so either the drama isn’t as bad as people made it seem or there’s something wrong with me lmao

    Could the acting have been better in some parts? absolutely, but I genuinely enjoyed the ride and wish it was longer

    I get like that from time to time. That’s when I try to watch other tv such as western tv or anime. Or you could rewatch old Kdramas. That helps me sometimes. I tend to watch something again and recognize actors I didn’t know when I originally watched it and then find their other works and fall in love with Kdramas again.

I’m watching HIStory 3: Make Our days count and I love it so much 😭 I’ve rewatched every episode at least 5 times. I think it’s the only drama really keeping entertained through this slump

    I’m liking the idea but nerdy boy seems to be so stiff, lacks expressions. And starving. Why cast him? Secondary characters over the top.

      the nerdy boy is acting his character as is lol he is supposed to be starving cause he doesn’t eat. he’s malnourished cause he’s poor. But the 5 min preview shows that as he and the “bully” fall in love, he opens up a lot more

        Yes, but in 2 eps he’s had so many chances to be more than starving boy. Dramatic scenes like when he is cornered by the classmates, when he is begging to do the test, when he is asking for another job, but all he shows is indifferent or angry, and lots of hunger. Even bully, who has not much to work with, has a bigger range of emotions.

My Country was given a BUDGET! and Seolhyun is doing even better than I thought. I was watching for her and Jang Hyuk and she snapped a bit

I’ve been watching this chinese drama and besides how corny the first 5 episodes were, its actually really good. Its a little like Jang Bo Ri but without the excessive theatrics

My Country is taking too long to start, im stressed lol I havent looked forward to a drama like this in a while

I liked Suzy in WYWS, but in Vagabond, this is one of those moments where a stronger actress would\’ve done the character justice

Incredibly bored not being interested in a drama since HDL ended. Hopefully Our Country changes that since thats the only one catching my attention
