Royal Inspector and Joy
Watching this light comedy, and while I actually like Ok Taec Yeon, it is obviously Tae-so played by Lee Jae Kyoon who steals the screen with every few seconds on-screen.

It’s like with Dong-ha, you just want to see more of this troubled person.
I played around with the editing a bit, but it’s not because he needs it to fill the moments with drama. Of course, he is starved for love.

I am not finished at all finding words for this next moment, where he recognizes a battle lost and prepares for the next.

I am p.t. less than half way through and there will be four gifs for now in the comments, but probably, there will come a few more before I am through.

There’s a “man in a dress”, unwillingly disguised, but quite opposite to the norm, he is not awkward or silly in his disguise at all. He is sweet and graceful, while clearly worried and fearing for his life, and also, he is also clever and flirts desperately with one villain to make sure he doesn’t see what his boss Yi Eon (Taec-yeon) and Yook chil (Min Jin-woong are up to:

And we have clever women, which is always really nice. What I like here is her friend’s (at her left, our right) look at her. “Yeah, sure, if you say so…”

      One For Me?
I was very enamoured with for once having a “man in a dress” scene that wasn’t cut and played to ridicule the thought that a man could be sweet and graceful. At the last episode (very little spoiler) everyone on the heroes team except the shaman and Good Pal have found love.
So when he confesses to feelings of left-overness to FL, she makes him go the shaman (and goes with him, because …?), and this happens.
Look at the FL barely holding back her laughter, while Good Pal receives a message about what could happen in his lovelife.

Mal-jong is the one who was so taken in by the woman that Good Pal pretended to be, so that they could spy on the villains. Maljong is the one discussing arrow traps with Tae-seo elsewhere in this post.

Having Feelings While Fat is a serious crime, as we all know, and it is of course aggravated by being combined with the crime of Being Graceful While in Drag.
One thing I noticed is that they at least let Good Pal play actually hurt instead of the exaggerated wailing we mostly see in K-dramas to indicate that someone is spoiled or just wrong.
Also, the shaman is not laughing. Actually, I first thought she teased him because she was hurt the obvious solution of wooing her didn’t occur to him, but her shamanism is usually sincere, and I don’t think she could play Mal-jong … I don’t even think she knows about Good Pal playing a woman.
But this is our so-called heroine reacted to a fat slave’s heartbreak and humiliation:

And here, just another scene with that amazing character, in a normal style and an old comic book style.
Oh, and of course he is lying. He is totally hoping his dad will love him.

Awesome. You seem to be enjoying making the gifs more than the drama itself. 😊 Thank you for your hard work. Hwaiting!!

Great gifs! This one keeps taunting me from my Netflix Watch List every time I log in. Maybe it’s a sign 😉 But first, I need a sageuk break.

And this is about the traps … but really, it’s about feelings, too.

I kind of recommend watching this for all that screwed up love there is. Screwed up, I’m telling you. And if a lot of it is man-to-man, that is definitely not why it is screwed up.
But this boy should not love his father, and his cohort should not love him for being a sincere killer … though, 💔, who can resist that open face?

Also, as things are, FL and her Ex-Mother-in-Law should not love each other, and the MIL should not love her son (or maybe she should, But he should be in a straitjacket), he definitely can’t handle the freedom he has.

I was like where have I seen him before – Tell Me That You Love Me! He played the non-toxic SML there I think!!

I haven’t seen Royal Inspector and Joy but now I’m considering it….

“Mice”? If that’s a mouse, then I am a fairy.

It’s so rare in K-dramas to see a fat person be depicted so beautifully. Of course it is also a question of the actor expressing himself so beautifully so they just have to film him to make it lovely.
He is in mourning, and doing the duties he is supposed to.

Happiness just won’t give this guy the time of the day, really.

Yes, this looks fairly promising, but that’s only for the next 20 seconds. I am not spoiling details here, but just be sure that Happiness is not siding with this guy.

Tell me that Taecyeon is the hero here:

(I tried in four different ways to improve the image quality with no luck, so stripes and blue lips it is).
But look at this tired man looking incredulously at the HERO, who is still hung up on things that already seem a lifetime ago to this exhausted son of a villain.

    YAH!
Next to Goo-pal (I call him “Good Pal” in my head) being an angel, this may be the most wholesome moment in all of this series. Also, the love between the triad of bastard villains – they have a love like this, except I am not sure these kittens have a concept of “being ready to die for each other”.

    Hero line-up
Tell me any of these are as compelling as Tae-seo. Maybe Good Pal? Otherwise, nah-uh. Oh, and by the way, they couldn’t go to the end of the show without ridiculing Good Pal for the best things in him.
