I think fandoms should start paying me to avoid their groups. Every time I start stanning a K-pop group, a member leaves.

When I became an EXO-L, Lay stopped promoting and hasn\’t been with EXO since.
I started supporting Pentagon last year and now I\’m waiting for Cube to announce whether they\’ll kick E\’Dawn out or let him stay.
And then there\’s Seven O\’Clock. Their rapper Vaan has been away from the group for half a year now (with no explanation from the company) and it seems he\’s leaving the group.

Please, prove me wrong SM, Cube and Staro.
And if not… Who wants to protect their bias?

    then I became a Winner fan, then lived through Taehyun leaving.

    and then Day6, with Junhyeok’s exit.

      Hugs! I was just thinking how difficult it must have been for EXO-Ls at that time, it wasn’t one member leaving but three! I luckily joined the fandom much later…

      Do you still follow those groups or are you too traumatised?

        Aww, thanks for the hug! that was such a whirlwind experience, did not help when i was doing my thesis and Feasibility studies at that time. lol.

        not much on EXO tho, but i still watch every new releases.

      I was hoping. Really hoping. And there were so many theories.
      But with his solo album coming out in October (plus it being his US debut), I doubt he would have the time to promote with Exo. Of course, unless Exo comes back in 2019. What’s three months more?

So EXO is performing in Berlin today (is that their first European stage?) and I can\’t remember why we decided with a friend that the tickets were too expensive. So close, but so far…

      The good ones were around 275 USD. Concert tickets usually cost half. It’s a lot for students plus travel and accommodation. My friend said she wasn’t going and I didn’t want to go alone… She did regret it when she saw Chanyeol’s special stage.

      I hope they come next year. But with the way it’s going… We’ll be happy to get a comeback, let alone a tour. It seems whole SM including f(x) (who didn’t comeback for the last 3 years) will have a comeback before EXO… Sigh.

        Yikes, that is pricey! And yeah I wouldn’t want to go alone either especially if it’s not in my own city. It seemed like a great concert considering all the other korean stars that were there too. But if I’m gonna pay that much, I would want a full EXO concert instead.

        Aww it is weird that SM already announced a Super Junior mini-album with release date and title and even teaser pic but yet nothing for EXO. I see the fans are getting dramatic about it on the internet lol and since I’m still a new EXO-L, I am still discovering all these EXO songs from their back catalog. 🙂 I’m still learning how this whole kpop industry works. I’m really worried there will be no world tour for this comeback though…

          Berlin isn’t that far, but it’s not my country and I don’t even speak the language.
          I guess? I didn’t care much for anyone else but Taemin and EXO. Now if Pentagon was performing there too… That would be something else. 😉

          Also, I watched the live stream and EXO was the last one to perform. There were Koreans (and fans from other Asian countries) who were waiting on the stream for them in the middle of the night and everyone was getting so impatient. Taemin finished his performance and only EXO was left. MCs asked who was the best K-pop group. Of course EXO-Ls started chanting E-X-O! MCs looked flustered and then… They played a video by BTS. LOL. And then there were more cover stages by rookies. It was 5 AM KST by the time EXO got the stage.

          The fandom has been desperate since July or August. At least some tweets are really funny and it’s better to laugh about it. The perks of being a new fan! I have Pentagon keeping me busy so far.
          Let’s hope. That’s what I’ve been surviving on for the past month or so.

            Ah I saw that Park Bo Gum was there so I’d be excited to see actors too. But yeah hopefully y’all will get a proper EXO tour in Europe instead someday soon!!

            Oh man, that is super late and those are some dedicated EXO-Ls! They basically pulled an all nighter for EXO. I heard about the whole MCs being surprised at the audience responding “E-X-O” when they asked the audience that question, what did they expect? I’m sure the audience was mostly EXO-Ls at that point. LOL @ them playing a BTS video…BTS was recently in my state and my friend’s sister went to see them by herself as she managed to get one ticket to the concert. I don’t know if I would like to go to a concert by myself, I’ve always gone to concerts in a group or with at least one friend.

            Some of the tweets are hilarious, well I see the tweets get screenshot into IG as I still only use IG exclusively for EXO content. IG knows I love EXO so it’s all I ever get in my IG Discover section 😛 And yes I’m enjoying being a new fan!
            Pentagon comeback is pretty good, I like the title track 😀 hoping for the best on the Cube statement that is supposed to happen this week!! <3

            I felt really sorry for them, but it was so funny at the same time. Really dedicated. Haha, I agree. They were mostly EXO-Ls and probably thought it was the introduction for EXO as they were the only ones left to perform.

I started watching 9 End 2 Outs this week because I needed a rom-com. It’s a friends-to-lovers 2007 drama starring Soo Ae and Lee Jung Jin. There’s also a 17-year-old Girls’ Generation Yoona (it was her first role). It’s rather slow burn in the first half, but there are cohabitation hijinks.

The plot was a bit stretched in the middle and it’s slightly trope-y, but I made it to ep. 10 and strangely watched it tonight over 100 Days My Husband or Time.

    One of my all time faves!! I think I’ve watched it 5 times already, and would gladly marathon for the 6th! It did drag slightly in the middle, but I’ve always found the characters and the dialogue so refreshing. ❤

      At first the dragging was partially what kept me in honestly. Jung Joo and Nan Hee were so cute together I kept wondering how and when they were going to break up. But then it got a bit repetitive and I might have even used a forward button…
      And I am annoyed with Sung Ah because she’s the typical ex-girlfriend returning after years, but the OTP’s relationship is keeping me in.

        She’s definitely your typical ex gf, but I like how the relationship played out overall. There’s no real OTT angst, and all the relationships really do end up being about timing. Even as a typical ex, I like that the characters weren’t heavily influenced by her. They were simply left to navigate through their own feelings for one another. Ahh tempted to watch this one again – but tiiiimmme!!

          I’m glad to hear characters won’t be heavily influenced by her! I hope I’ll have the time to finish it, seeing them together (I’ve seen the dating vacation in the last ep) is so rewarding. But school is starting on Monday…

I would love to react to all the comments and posts about the Cube-HyunA-E’Dawn situation, but I am not able to right now. As a Pentagon’s fan, I’m mentally and emotionally tired from this all and it’s upsetting for me to see people talk about HyunA and E’Dawn without considering Pentagon’s feelings.
Sorry and understand please if I don’t react to your comments now.

Cube will be deciding about the matter next week at a board meeting.
If you were angry with Cube today, you could give a listen to Pentagon’s new song or watch their cute comeback stage (it was recorded before Cube made a statement). Because no matter how upset we might be, Pentagon are the ones suffering the most in this situation.

I was going to post a salty heartbroken rant, but it\’s not official yet. Cube has probably noticed the stocks or Pentagon being upset or something and suddenly are saying it\’s still under discussion.

    One of the best decisions Highlight/Beast made was leaving CUBE in the dust and taking their staff. I’m always hoping that these other entertainers join their company, AroundUs. I hope things work out for Pentagon, E’Dawn and HyunA, even if it means breaking off. They seem successful already, so I’m sure they’ll make it. It’s CUBE that loses.

      though as for other artists joining Arvely,sadly there’s a higher probability it’s not happening for reasons.mainly,arvely was built and envisioned to support just the members’ careers,same like shinhwa’s.also,there would be fan backlash especially from korean lights.when arvely had a job posting for a staff for rookie development,there was outrage.

          because the vision for the company was to manage their own careers, as a group and as individuals.It was not built to be like idol or actors agency that will take on new artists or debut new groups/singer/idols. it’s a management agency solely for them.

          also, probably because the members shelled out their personal money for the agency. they own 51% of the company, a certain portion owned by an investing firm and a little owned by Loen Ent,I think.

This is a very insightful video! Explained all the cultural references. I didn’t expect a traditional trot song would be there. My respect for Pentagon as lyricists has gone up. And the lyrics finally make sense!
