After a more than a month on hiatus (figuring out how to navigate university) I’m finally back!

I’ve missed DB so much (to the stars and beyond) and so coming back to a fuller, more bustling site withe same incredible community (with new additions I see ^_^) warms me. Now I just have a 100 amazing posts to read through, 1000 fanwall pgs to fawn over and a billion dramas to catch up on. WOW 😂❤️

Hello Beanies!

So I’ll be taking on the next big step (seriously I have to travel for 15 hrs!) in my life, 2 days from now: UNIVERSITY!

Obviously I’m nervous and super jittery with excitement but I’m also sad because the intense coursework that I’ll be getting will mean I’ll have to drastically reduce my drama binge watching in order to increase my focus. This means I won’t be on DB that much apart from lurking here and there, bubbling with envy at all the amazing new dramas that are coming out.

I’ll have to part ways with the beanie community for a while but I’ll still be contently gluing my eyes onto my screen on the look out for my next fav drama. ^_^

2017 was a slump year for me and I barely watched 5 dramas unlike my usual 40-45. 2018 however, marked the beginning of coming out from under the rock and making a account on DB and meeting all of ya’ll amazing people (and weird bots 😂) whilst fangirling and branching out to other genres instead of just rom-coms.

As a (maybe) goodbye I’ve decided to make a rating chart of every kdrama I’ve watched this year (because I have no life atm 😂)! Most of the dramas are from 2017 because I missed out on a lot last year because of my slump and rom-com fatigue. I also started and loved dramas from other genres. Genres I wouldn’t have touched before eg.dark thrillers but got hooked on because of other beanies.

    I am amazed at you travel list watch. This scaredy cat 😹 definitely wont watch The Guest during a trip esp if she stayed in an old boarding guesthouse

    Dramas were a great way to relieve the stress when I was in UNI a few years back. Studying is one thing, but make sure to save some time for yourself too!

    Congratulations!! Uni is a great experience. Do enjoy all it has to offer. DB community will always be here whenever you need a down time from the busyness of Uni-life, or when you need to dump your worries and frustrations, or if you need advice etc etc. etc. (As a certain King of yore used to say) 🤣

I think I’m feeling a little burnt out with new dramas because my brain can;t seem to focus on them and I’m rarely emotionally tied to them. Suddenly I’m interested in searching up brilliant gems that were never in my radar, are of a different genre or ones that came out ages (like eons ago) and everybody loved. Which brings me to Alone In Love (2007) which is a freaking masterpiece. I didn’t even recognise the lead actress (can you?) because of how old the drama is but the storytelling made sense after finding out it was based on a fantastic Japanese novel.

          Yes Thundie mentioned about it last in 2013 and I hope Thundie has beaten it successfully and has gotten better or is on the road to recovery but so far no updates. The blog is still fantastic as ever though so hopefully there will be a return.

      😂😂 I chuckled at that too. Most kdrama heroines have an inverse relationship with spunkiness+brains towards the end of their dramas.

I keep seeing these two very talented child actors. I saw Geum Bi (loved that drama)as Ae Shin in Mr.Sunshine too.

    LOVED the child actors here! They were superb. <3 It took me awhile to realize the boy was in Goblin and who the girl was. For some reason, I thought she’d be older now, and was surprised that she was still so young. Haha. The boy though, man, that kid’s got a LOT of potential. Before recognizing him, I was so impressed w/ him bc of how he carried out his scenes.

    I became a fan of Heo Jung Eun after Oh My Geum Bi. She has a promising career ! The male child actor is great too. How do producers find these little gems ?

Happy If You Died
The manhwa is hilarious! The FL has so much spunk but also responsibility and I love how she stands up for herself and is so incredibly relatable. Can’t wait for the drama!

Just finished the epicly fantastical wonderlicious Life On Mars and WOW. The distinct Korean flair yet compelling and humorous story makes this one of the BEST kdrama adaptations ever. The squad is 💖This moment was gold.
