Beanie level: Rooftop room dweller

Hometown. I so don’t want Hye Jin and Du sik to be the end game. He was nothing but a prick to her for some reason and this ain’t preschool. And if he has her other shoe, imma be pissed.

Hometown Cha Cha Cha.

Hye Jin is not the problem townspeople. She is who she is, a educated professional dentist.

Kdrama gotta kdrama with the patriarchy.

I just watched the first ep and will try the next, but yes was bothered that it seems to be leaning towards the ML teaching Hye Jin lessons. Also that he’d noticed her from the beginning and likes her, but then acts aloof to her when he is friendly with everyone. I really liked her and the bright feel and colors of the show. Could really use just a happy rom com set in a pretty setting with fun characters.

      Lesson???

I get it Beverly but she is a grown ass woman who was trying to ask for help when she is not use to doing so.

Her crime was visiting a beach in that town for her mother’s memorial and getting lost in her thoughts. And then just a little bad luck.

        100% agree.

It bugged me that it seemed he wanted her to learn the value of hard work or the value of money earned by having her clean squid for the day, especially when as you say she was just hit with bad luck.

And the woman is a dentist. She has a job, she works for it and is good at it.

It’s not like she is a heiress just spending her family money and being a out and out douchebag.

I’m expecting it to get complicated.

I have been watching and enjoying Problem Child in the House and that cast of hosts are really great together. This week’s ep was really good.

I watched a full ep of Knowing Bros. for the 1st time in a long time. The National Fencing Team owned that episode. They were charming and funny and it all worked.

The Devil Judge, ep 1.

I gave it 17 minutes before shutting it off. At that point you will know why.

I got curious about what you meant by this post, so I went an checked out the first little bit of this show (which I never intended on watching anyway). Let me just say: LMFAO!

      Indeed. 😅

During the trailers, the minute I saw that Jisung’s judicial robes resembled a papal cassock and Jinyoung’s resembled a cardinal’s cassock, I knew this show wasn’t for me.

        1

Yeah. This show really seems like it wants to be up its own backside.

Hospital Playlist, ep 1.

Min-ha, woman, you a dish, along with being a competent doctor. You gone be alright and will get someone better than the weird dude with mommy issues.

I felt so bad for her. I have nothing against Seok Hyung but she deserves a guy who reciprocates her feelings.

    8
    1

And he did tell her. But this aspect is starting to have her question her job as a doctor and it shouldn’t be like that. The phone call thing was not that big of a deal and she was so deflated and I hated seeing her like that.

      3
      1

From the patient’s perspective, it WAS a big deal. She was literally in the process of telling Min-Ah how uncomfortable being in this position (legs spread out wide, exposed and with a room full of people) , and bam! Min-Ah has a full fledged cellphone conversation “between this poor woman’s legs”!!!!
I was SOOO puzzled, I could hardly believe this was happening for real. So yes, it’s not the end of the world, but I really felt so bad for the patient!

        1
        1

I thought it was because the patient head that phone conversation and saw Min ha’s reaction.

So BTS has put together a learning Korean kit to sell.

It is really well done and damn it to hell, I am considering it.

Didn’t even clicked with me until now that the reason the older ones didn’t enlist last year is because Big Hit IPO hit the stock market and that deal with Universal Music was still being finalized. With this group, with one gone, that makes a huge difference. This story is a pipe dream, but it is not the worst idea. But when you have a music act that is a GDP for a country, how is this going to work?

And here I am, a simple 2PM fan who’s been waiting five years for them to be together again… And yes, I know BTS is another league, but… gosh…

    4
    1

I still stand by the government pulling the cord and waiving all of them. That extension was just a tester to reaction.

There is just too much damn money on the table.

      2
      1

IMO if athletes can be exempted for winning medals so can BTS. I don’t know that the government will actually do it though or that BTS members would want them to. Their global fans wouldn’t care but a lot of Koreans would.

        3
        1

They need tobe atleast olympic bronze medalist or asian games winner. Did BTS win grammy? And with the same sentiment, an actor who win an oscar can get exempted too. 🤷‍♀️

          0
          0

I initllay thought that enlisting together will decrease the time they are not complete to 2 years (vs. ~6years) but that will stop their momentum. Either should be fine but they should serve, not this waiver nonsense.

So I learned through a celebrity whose social media account I follow that BTS has a animated short. The celebrity got her 2 YO a stuffed animal of her favorite. They coming for toddlers, y’all.

Vincenzo ep 13. I was half right about Cho. I really looked at it from the money aspect.

3

So I watched that Let’s BTS talk special.

I get it now. I get why they are so damn popular and have any and all kinds of fans. This isn’t a act for them, they are genuinely…genuine.

Depends on the interview in any country. I’ve seen some superficial interviews in both of those countries and seen in depth in America. Most big network interviews in the US are superficial.

It saddens me to say this, but their Fallon interviews are their best because he had a long enough segment and it was out of the studio.

As much as I hate Fallon, he faired better because it was not a three minute segment with a very clear language barrier.

@Black Swan You might be interested in watching BTS’s interview on the Zack Sang Show. Zack has interviewed other Kpop groups/stars he always asks very thoughtful and thorough questions.

Vincenzo, ep 12. I…don’t blame Cho one bit. Vincenzo really dropped the ball. It was never always about him and he made it that way.

I cannot believe they jumped the shark with Cha young’s. I guess anything to justify her and Vincenzo becoming a criminal couple together.

1
4

That wasn’t the only part I didn’t like about the episode.

I think we should remember that she was never a rightful lawyer as she worked at Wusang being fateful to money, and when we meet her we saw her use manipulation as one of her tools. Therefor her and her father have many argument about their different beliefs. When she said in a kinda joke way that she is not righteous lawyer but angry after her father passed away sum up her character motivation.
When Yu-chan mention monster fight monster for justice tells the tone for the drama. I belive the point making is that you need to get your hands dirty to play against the villain to bring Justice.
They clearly play on a thin line with our two leads.

    4
    2

Exactly. The only differences is now she’s fighting for the side of justice and not for money sucking, innocent people killing Wusang/Babel.

He was clearly speak about Vincenzo and possibly himself.

Cha young was a gray character and for all her immoral behavior, she would never go as far as to physically hurt or kill someone. That is why Joon woo was so fustrated that she would not return to Wusung or he could never get a read on her. Her doing that with the car is and was out of her character.

Vincenzo, ep 9.

So Joon woo really is just destroying this company. Is that his end game because he is running out of money along with any business sense.

3
4

I don’t get this character, tbh. He’s just a psycho who wants to build a tower and is leaving a path of corpses on the way for no reason… building the tower? Are none of the Babel activities legit? Are their fundings infinite? He keeps paying lawyers, and prosecutors, and police, and professional killers and gets nothing in return: they’ve lost the trials, their public image is trash, their main lab was set on fire… I know this is dramaland but now that we are getting serious (the amount of dead bodies per episodes is a bit overwhelming right now), I don’t see how we are going to hold for 10 episodes if violence escalates at this rate.

    5
    3

It’s so dumb. The brothers are doing everything but running a business, and clearly Wusang’s only clients are Babel.

Joon woo is suppose to be the Funhouse version of Vincenzo. I don’t know if they changed the character because of the casting choice or if the character was always written like this but Joon woo is a total moron and will never successfully go neck to neck with Vincenzo.

I think his biggest mistake is that he think he this grandios invisible person because he is born into a rich family and first born. Therefor he belive he can get away with everything. The biggest different between him and V is that he clearly lack self awareness, that I think gonna be his weakness and down fall in the end.
JW clearly represent some of those people that is born into rich family, that clearly think because they have everything they can do whatever they want without any repercussions.

      1

Vincenzo, ep 9.

Cha young really out here thinking Vincenzo hasn’t killed people before?

Really show? That’s a conflict y’all looking to have to them in the future?

Maybe she never watched The Godfather.
    Or never read Gomorra.
Or has never seen an Italian movie about the Mafia.

I think she knows deep down but wants him to be open about it because she senses he wants to hide his past from her but doesn’t understand that she’s already accepted everything about him, plus she’s no ordinary FL.

Horimaya, the live action jdrama, is so charming. I have not seen the anime to compare but I really like this version.

Vincenzo, ep 8. I would feel so bad for Min seong and not being able to be comfortable with who he is if he wasn’t such a horrible person. The show really played a thin line with this plotline.

Song Soong Ki should do more comedy.

He really has a knack for it.

So Vincenzo did get into Jang’s apartment and plant those syringes. I completely missed The Godfather Part II reference. My bad, I really thought Joon woo did it to mess with him.

Vincenzo, ep 6. Joon woo is crazy with a side of dumb, Stanford degree or not. He has no hand to play now that he told Choi and Jo. And that Taec dude is seriously miscast.

6
2

I should casting should have been the other way round, KDY as Joon Woo and Taec as HanSeo.
KDY is by far a better actor than Taec (or in my opinion better than almost any other actor in the drama). I still hope for his character to be something more than we are being shown now.
