So now #LetTaeminPerformGuilty & #TaeminGuiltyYearEndStage are trending on Twitter, because the award shows and entertainment industry are sneakily trying to cancel him and steal his glory and aura for rookies. Doing a Guilty COVER just 2 months after he released it and worked so hard on it is not fair. Taemin is not in the army or hiatus he is at top physical shape and creatively flourishing so just because he turned 30 he now gets way less chances to show what he can do? ughhh.

      I am seeing more female vigilantes in their 40ies
      semi-reality dramas with some of the gen 5 idols or anime-drama fusion happening bc this gen is so anime-like
      in general, I am feeling more change in the execution and trying to find new ways to tell the story both visually and dramatically

      also im sensing influences from western dramas, especially Wednesday and Umbrella academy etc, like a family drama with dark humor

      and Ma Dong Seok back in dramaland. thats more of a wish, but its funny how when he is not in them, he gets mentioned in dramas he is not in, or they watch a drama he is in so he needs to come back the sugar babo

      im really worried about Minho actually. He has cried many times this year in interviews and programs talking about Jonghyun. I´m wondering if he´s ok. they want him to be that tough energetic guy and everyone seems to dismiss his emotions because he is physically strong. that says nothing about a persons´soul tho. I feel like they leave him no place to be vulnerable but im glad he spelled it out in his insta post

started Twinkling Watermelon and though clearly it is a good drama, its so drowsy at parts that I fall asleep. is it like that through the whole drama?

    I either go back and rewatch it or I don’t. I didn’t rewatch it. Your milage may vary. If I fall asleep 3x ..😵‍💫

    I dropped twinkling watermelon twice
    Once after ep 1 then some weeks later I watched ep 2 and I dropped it again and in my 3rd attempt I watched it like crazy and finished it just in 3 days the magic happened for me after ep 4 I think, and now it’s 1 of my favourites
    I think it deserves another chance and if it didn’t work for you after 4 or 5 eps then you can drop it anytime

ah, Sweet Home 2, it hurts. the lines are so blurred. it is drenched in guilt and shame and human inability to actually act as judge. im thoroughly enjoying it so I suppose Dramabeans probably doesnt

    I’m enjoying it too!! I’ve been taking my time with this one so haven’t finished yet but really liking this season. I loved season 1 and I love that season 2 has taken a different direction but it’s still narratively cohesive and very enjoyable to watch.

      season 2 is going deeper into the murky parts of human souls, our naturally MONSTROUS tendencies, how, without any hesitation, we decide in our head who is the good guy or bad guy and justify our actions no matter how psychotic and cruel “because he is the bad guy!” how we act first and think later … think prison experiment and electric shocks.

      and also, Song Kang is VERY good this season. The camera angle also makes it seem like the viewer is inside his head sometimes and feeling the same pangs in their hearts.

      nono not silla or joseon or goryeo but just some folklore and quirks. so he can do tricks to people. but goblins do tricks too. raccoons do tricks too. gumihos do tricks. what makes a demon different from the rest of the mythological spectre, thats what I mean. like the underworld, whats it like, whats his own contract with the gray old man. ok he is scared of aging. so are we all.

Drama roundup. Female lead I will never forget: I have a special place for Eun-Soo from Faith. Kim Hee Sun was just so spunky and earnest. But also how many times is a girl gonna get poisoned.
