What an eventful month July so far.. binged 3 full dramas (Live On, Dear.M, She would never kmow) and looking at 4th one (Extraordinary You)..
watching 4 (Why her, Woo Young Woo, Alchemy of Souls, Link) on air dramas
and rubbing my hands with glee for all new ones (Adamas, Wish upon you)
never had this much fun before… and still have 12 more days to go in July.

She would never know finished.. what a cute fluff drama this was. Evethough the conflicts were dramatic still fun quotient was very high thruout. Loved RoWoon always but now i need Extraordinary you❤️

    Agree – I liked SWKN alot too. Not perfect but definitely a solid office-romance drama.

      I’m on ep. 5 and enjoying it so far. @ghostoftim , thanks for warning me that the male lead is a work in progress during the first couple of episodes and improves after that – if I didn’t know that going in, I probably would have dropped it. I have a huge problem with a lot of office romances, but I’m just stuffing those objections into a box and sitting on the lid while I watch.

      Extraordinary You is a lot of fun! It was my introduction to Lee Jae-wook and his command of sulkiness and sneering. I’ve also seen a few visual elements from it repeated in Alchemy of Souls.

        lol that i was sitting beside that box with the lid opened the moment HS wipes the lipstick of her lips at end of epi 2… i was so angry how could he.. but then still gave him benefit of his crush but glad he dint disappoint. And indeed worked in progress and what a great piece he had become by the end.. nice work done there. you gonna love it more n more in coming episode.

        Not sure why i am still not Lee Jae wook fan Yet…. seen him in many dramas but even as lead he doesnt pull me in, when hwang min yun did it enough for me to go and binge Live On just for him.

          😂 It won’t. He does a fine job of portraying a pretty unlikeable character. He can’t help it, he’s just written that way. But Rowoon is adorable and Kim Hye-yoon is so charming, she completely made the show for me despite its imperfections and my low tolerance for high school stories.

            btw i love high school stories if done well only i dropped i school 2017 (with kim se jong i guess)

            my low threshold is Office romance ones and how cliched they become… like how come people can date the way kdrama portrays in Proper Professional corporate set up.. it doesnt make sense to me.

          I had a high school C drama highly recommended to me by one of the beanies that has been around for years. It’s called When We Were Young and came out 2018. When you search for it make sure it’s the 2018 version as there is a completely different drama from 2017 with the same name.

    Both dramas are very good!

    Extraordinary You has one of the best spunky female lead! She’s the star of the drama for me. Rowoon was the cutest puppy and they really formed a cute couple. This drama adressed interesting themes behind the cuteness.

    She Would Never Know was a nice romance. It made shine every character. The couple was really nice to watch.

    I don’t think we can compare their situation and KTO’s one.

    I like KTO in this role but it’s PEB who is shining in this drama. I think every other actors are becoming more famous thanks to this drama.

    In Start-Up, KSH stole the show from the leads. It was a little bit the same for SSK.

      i dint compare the screenspace of any if the three but just the hype they got credit to the respective role…
      and i am certainly agree with you its PEBs drama completely and KTO is getting tiny screen space but still its his charm that rulling over people’s heart.. and am not complaining cause now he will get some good full fledged roles now which can do justice to his acting capabilities.

    I think kdramas have such slim pickings of nice MLs that stares starry-eyed at the FL from the get go, that the character is destined to be a winner. But of course KTO deserves the recognition for his hard work, i thought he was a rookie in Run On but he’s been around for a while. He’s going off for military service soon too..

    My friend has been a fan since their debut so I knew they existed because I’d been on the other end of her fangirl-rants for a while and she’d make me watch their variety show clip compilations. What truly sucked me in though was the Blood Sweat & Tears MV – so absolutely mesmerising & beautiful, I went down the rabbit hole and never looked back!

    What about you?! How did you find them/what was the song that made you a fan?

      oh oh thats sounds fun…. Blood Sweat & Tears MV is indeed a masterpiece and it also contributed to lure me to BTS rabit hole…

      my story.. is fun and silly. When eeveryone on DB used to ga ga over BTS and Kpop in general i used to always felt “nah not my kind of fun” as i always thought kpop is all about beautiful idols showing off their choregraphy and nothing else… and i resisted so much to fall for kpop and it all was good until BTS dropped Idol.. that song, the meaning, the whole impact it had on me and the line “you cant stop me loving myself” just made me yeah now thats something i cant resist anymore.. then pestered @waadmay eonnie to share all good BTS mvs, and started my exploration. Watched Run, Dope, Fire, Fake Love but it was Blood Sweat & Tears MV that sealed the deal for me… that BTS is not just dancing thy have so much to share, to tell, to motivate, to inspire, they are not just another Kpop group who is good at dancing but they are real human being who had struggled a lot (yes i researched abt them) to share their stories as such meaningful songs….
      Finally they released ON.. which i watched and danced and sang… and never looked back….
      thats my stupidity in a post.. lol…

      my fav song.. will always be Idol,
      then Run, Dope, Blood Sweat & Tears, ON, , My universe, Mikrokosmos, Permission to dance and yet to come are my favs.

    I heard about them first on this site. When other beanies were preparing for their comeback. It was LY:Tear. The first song which I heard obviously was fake love because I wanted to know what all the hype was about.I didn’t like the mv initially because it was totally different from what I had seen so far nor did the song pull me in. I decided that was it for me😅. I just thought to give the other songs a try and then I heard anpanman. That was the song that did it for me 😄

    I first found Boy with Love fun, but just enough to dance around the house and to learn that is was a BTS song. But then Map of the Soul: 7 came out just in time for lockdown. Suppose I’m a baby Army 😂
    Loved On at the first listening, and then I heard Filter, saw the Black Swan choreo, and was a goner. Love yourself era is my favouritest at the moment

    I started to really like them after watching their Run BTS episodes. Also, they seem truly humble and sweet. As far as their songs, I love Spring Day, Heartbeat, Lights, and Mikrokosmos.

kdramas are the best thing ever happened to me… on my worst days, when I feel its just darkness in my life.. Kdramas with my beautiful oppas keep my life bright n shiny…. and hold me while i sob in that dark corner until i feel alive.

i start a drama for one actor but then i spot a new actor and there i go to rabit hole and start binging his old dramas….

Seo Yul of Alchemy of Soul now had me binging 6 episodes of Live On in one single day…

Kdramas always have such an interesting way to keep me glued to dramas by guiding me from one oppa to another by each new drama i pick.
Recently finished Shooting Star made me lil curious about Yoon Jong Hoong (aka Kang Yu sung the manager) and next thing i was doing.. scrolling thru netflix to watch The Penthouse.
And now 4 days and 3 seasons and 48 episodes later…

I have a new obsession.. i.e. Park Eun Seok aka Logan Lee… and despite how bad (bad is such an understatement) this drama was but Logan the character stole the show for me. He was the only shining star out of this show.. and it was indeed his Breakout role.
Then his chemistry with Su ryeon..
wowww just sooo sweet for me…

But at same time i am utterly shocked to see how badly makjang a kdrama can ever be, like it literally crossed all limits of senselessness logiclessness… even more than what Ektas serials ever did.

now all I want Logan n Su ryeon to grace any upcoming drama as Main OTP.. and have their happy ending… can Dramagods grant me this wish ??????

    I saw Park Eun Seok in Laurel Tree Tailors and fell HARD! I finished all 54 episodes only to see him 😂

        I watched the drama locally when it came out so I don’t know where you can watch it now.

        About screen time, not enough! Unfortunately!
        But he was a hoot!
        He was a side character, think the second female lead’s stepbrother, and at first I thought he was going to be a villain, but he turned out to be hilarious.

        It wasn’t said but there were some hints like the phones models seem to be older ones, the father’s calendar in one of the episode.

        The scene happened when he was still there but it looks like the future.

    When Mr. Gu told the dad he was leaving there was a 2019 calendar behind him so mom dies in Fall 2019, about a month after Mr. Gu left. We saw the future shot of Mr. Gu on New Year’s 2022 in an earlier episode. We don’t know if Mr. Gu returned to Sanpo and got Mi-jung’s phone number before or after that, but it was probably around then because it was winter.

Bloody Heart is Beautiful 😍 Camera work wise.. all those Symmetrical Top shots are my favorite.. i oohhed n ahhed so much already in first 20 mints but then this one scene came (49 second long 24.22 to 25.11) and i was “whistling mode”.
Single shot with no cut in between such an excellent blocking n staging done for this one. How well n smoothly camera moves past, revolves, and comes back to female lead…
Am sure there must be so many more Cinematography Gems in future episodes.. and i hoping i get time to continue this one..
