    I only watched up to the last ep of Don and Con and never bothered again because why would they change such an iconic 7 year cast?? 😭 I’m just not feeling the new cast even if I have seen and love them in other shows like Knowing Bros, radio etc

Watched the trailer for Crazy Rich Asians today, and while I am very happy that it\’s a full Asian cast, I cannot help but wonder why anyone thought this was a fairly accurate depiction of Singapore and Singaporeans in general hahaha.

    It’s based on the novel and I believe the author is satirizing the upper crust of Singapore since he grew up “fortunate” and in that world so to speak. I read about it a few years ago, but can’t remember the details. Doesn’t seem like the movie will have that satirical tone though. Still really excited to see it.

      I am so excited to see it too! I think it is a farce on that life so it is supposed to be outlandish, but the author said all that stuff actually happens, it’s just that it is so unbelievable that it looks like a farce. I think it is a series of books, so it might be a series of movies as well.

      Oh yeah I’ve read about the satirical aspect too! I just think that people who come to Singapore expecting the same after reading the novel/watching the movie will be quite sorely disappointed because like you said, different worlds in the same tiny bit of land.

I think what I like the most about this show is that the characters are all so human. Their backstories tell us why they act the way they do but we\’re not expected to have to like them. That\’s life in a nutshell, isn\’t it?

I think Bo-young is an amazingly written character–she needs to bend when she does and she always manages her emotions well (even if flutter eyes flutter tears are needed)

      YES, THIS. Can I give this a thousand upvotes?! I was thinking the exact same thing while watching episode 8. Dr. Ye and Bo-young gave me so much heart-fluttering scenes that I would treasure for the rest of my Kdrama experience. Ye Line seals the deal for me every single episode. They continue to give me the ~good feel~ vibes that I desperately need so yes, my heart believes in this ship and I’ll continue to root for them until the last episode (and if, IF… they’re not the end game, I’ll take my feels to an AU where they can both have their happy ending together)

        I’m sure you are just fine the way you are. Kpop idols have to go on crazy, unhealthy diets and work out on insane amount in order to look that slender.
        Don’t compare youself to others. As long as you are healthy, that is what is important 🙂

          Of course of course! But sometimes I do get major envy–then again guys naturally have a lower fat percentage than girls so it’s no surprise that most young guys (like all of NCT) are quite skinny. Apart from that though, NCT’s got some moves (and too many members to remember)!

    Are you me? I miss him like crazy. I can’t wait till he’s done with his military service.
    I’ve been re-watching his musical shows.
    Last night was “Singing in the Rain.” There is something so darn romantic about rain and umbrella lol.
