POETRY EP 6 IS GIVING ME HEARTBREAK

Hold strong. That waffle cake is tempting, but Dr. Ye is waiting for his daily poetry.

    2

Stay strong for a few more hours Mary! You can do this!

    1

Huh, this is why I kinda don’t want to watch yet. I did see eps 1-3 and loved it but I feel like I’ll be heartbroken one way or another. Plus R88 made me so mad with the switch and I’m afraid they might do something like that. I want to wait for the ending spoilers to watch comfortably…

    1
    1

I don’t think it will pull an R88, unless the endgame is a random guy aside from Ye or Min-ho. In R88, they revealed the husband first before jumping to the couple scenes which felt (in my opinion) like they were trying to justify the surprise husband reveal. But in Poetry there’s already a base romantic-ish relationship with the two guys. I won’t be surprised if she ends up with one of them. It sounds more like R94. No unjustifiable surprises, but lots of heartbreak either way. :'(

Good news: I\’m no longer distracted by Weasel\’s gif.
Bad news: It\’s been replaced by a video of Kim Kang-woo rapping. http://www.dramabeans.com/members/cherryinbloom/activity/443631/

I’m trying to work but I keep seeing Weasel’s smiling gif *sigh*

Look, there is no such thing as “Ye Line”.

There is just one line. No need to name it.

    Yay! Welcome to our side.

That smile totally melts my heart!
I’m on Ye Line but I can sense that my second lead ship is gonna go down on me, real bad. Oh Min Ho..

By episode 6, you’ll see the error of your ways…

(which is why I love this show)

    2
    1

What episode 6? This show is only 4 episodes.

Ye Line quit the hospital and put up a PT clinic in this village and they were paid in chickens but everyone loved them and they loved everyone. The end.

      5
      2

    Welcome aboard.

Do you have life vests though? Or highly buoyant doors that can fit more than two people?

      0
      1

Jak-doo is handing out the life vests now, and has hand-planed and varnished more than enough large buoyant doors.

        1
        1

Why… why does my door have pepper in it? Did Eric Cho hand-plane this???

    Welcome aboard the Ye-Liner!!! 🛳️

    3
    0

I am totally in the Ye-line. And the fact that is a little bit of a mystery is aldi very attractive to me. With that personality, he has been misunderstood a lot. That is for sure. But we can see far beyond that, can’t we???
I hope it takes longer to find out, because this is so fun! 😀😀😀😀😁😁😁😁

Is the show funny or sad? The comments which I’ve read elsewhere seemed mix.

The money-grubbing family trope is my pet peeve and it pisses me off. But I like UEE and Kim Kang-woo’s characters, they’re so cute together.

Hi Mary, I am getting a virus every time I use Dramabeans on my phone. I never click on it, but it is annoying none the less. I get it on Dramabeans and on Soompi when I don’t have adblocker on. I don’t want to use adblocker on this site (so I can support y’all ^_^), can you please help me out? Right now I’m just trying not to surf this site on my phone.

    1

Hey, I’m really sorry about this. But the ad team is still looking for those rogue ads. I’m afraid there isn’t anything in particular I can do to stop them on your phone T____T

      1

Thank you for responding! It’s good to know people are working on it. I’ll just be sure to surf from my computer. The ads don’t give me any problems on my computer.

I was telling my sister the other day that their positions in this picture is symbolic of their relationships in the series… which I realized belatedly and was psyched about (another smart thing!) but she just rolled her eyes at me.

Hihi you can tell what show beanies currently like by the profile pictures…

16
6

The problem comes when you’re liking ALL the shows you’re watching and can’t decide on which to make your icon. 😩

    5
    1

From a 9-month study of beanies in the wild, it’s been discovered that they cope by spamming the fanwalls with screencaps that didn’t make it to the “Profile Picture” stage.

hahahahaha This is so true!!! I just changed my profile picture yesterday XDDDD

Is PPL really that bad? I thought we\’re all just joke-bashing it tbh…

10
16

My opinion: PPL is a necessary evil in Dramaland.

Honestly, most of the time it isn’t bad. Sometimes it’s even integrated creatively. But when you see characters meeting at Subway in 5 different dramas airing at the same time… it can get irritating, lol. And amusing.

    12
    1

Subway has got to have the most glaringly obvious & obnoxious PPL ever!!!

      1
      0

It can be. I don’t mind when it’s integrated. I mean people have to eat, but there are times where it’s too in your face or just doesn’t make sense. For example, there was Subway PPL in Prime Minister and I, but it was for the female lead to get back at all the uppity politicians’ wives by arranging their monthly meeting at a Subway instead of their usual high-end restaurant, so that made sense. While in WYWS, the leads would invite each other to lunch, but then awkward hold and expound the wonders of Subway. It was just odd.

    9
    0

It can be annoying if done without creativity.
I loved it in Secret Forest.
    The lipstick 💄 👌
I also don’t mind when they send someone from the office to pick up subway or Quiznos and then they are puzzled while ordering.
Also if Junho is doing it it’s never wrong.
    Junho and Papa Johns 👏
    Junho and Melona👏👏

    20
    2

“if Junho is doing it, it’s never wrong” -no truer words

      13
      0

And it must be noted that Junho eating the PPL product just takes it to a whole other level. He just can’t be sitting at the place or holding the product or just looking at it. He has to be eating.

      7
      1

👏👏 Yes of course that’s where the true impact and magic comes from.
Mmm hold on he’s also pretty good at sipping and drinking.
Actually one first Chief Kim screenshots I saved was

Honestly, Subway, and whatever that bottled water is that is in every drama, are such staples that when they aren’t there I kind of miss them. And now that massage chair has become a new favorite of mine, and I’m wondering when it will show up in the construction trailer in Just Between Lovers.

    9
    1

lol @ the massage chair !!
that one got stuck in to BTIOFL on the last episode likem “EEEEK! we almost forgot! quick! someone sit in the chair !!!”

      1
      0

It actually amuses me how dramas make use of PPL. When there are over the top ones like that in 20th Century Boy and Girl, I just laugh at it. 😂

    6
    0

I should also say that I rather have all the PPL in the world than 1 commercial.

    7
    0

The only time it irritates me is when we get a totally random scene with the lead giving a complete commentary on the merits and use instructions of a digital camera or a fridge or something like that. If they just use the thing or zoom on it or whatever else I don’t mind at all.

    3
    1

oh, I remember one just like that!! “20th Century Boy & Girl” when a fan wanted to take a pic with the main girl and went on and on with a random explanation of his phone !

      0
      0

I really don’t mind PPL. I react when they’re too obvious (a few “oooh!” and some “aigoooo~”s XD) but overall, I’m just amused with the blatant PPL. Heeh,
