Xiao Zhan started painting when he was at a very young age. Before he was discovered as a talented singer, he worked as a graphic designer whose creation had once earned him more than 200,000 RMB (approximately $28,000 USD.) He also dreams about being a pastry chef possibly in the future.
His multifaceted creativity makes him whole and fascinating. What really draws me to Xiao Zhan is that his wholeness and soulfulness preally shines through when he gets the opportunities to talk more deeply and speak more freely. Here are some of his works:
So World, support art and music education in your community! 😆
Love your comment, @gadis. I do believe making art is a mode of self-realization and it speaks volume about XZ, at least for capturing that particular moment of being.
Wow! That’s so nice to look at! Thanks very much @kimbapnoona. I agree with you that XZ’s “wholeness and soulfulness really shines through” and makes him that much more likable. 😃
It is really why he has such sustaining hold of my attention, @growingbeautifully!
I love an handsome face just like the next person, but XZ is radiating his distinct brand of beauty from within that transfixes so many fans like me.
OMG I don’t think I have ever written words like this even about my husband. 😅
Nice way of putting it …”radiating his distinct brand of beauty from within that transfixes”. I agree. We can all aim for this beauty from within. 😇 😆 😉
YAAAAAAAS!!! Itโs not even about Xiao Zhan at this point with this issueโ traditional art and printing itself is dying and itโs so sad to see 😭😭😭 So many bookstores in my town are closing because thereโs not enough profit (people would rather go digital or buy from Amazon), and art galleries are few…. And this is coming from a person who lives in a city where we are known as the the fine & visual arts city OF THE COUNTRY (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) and receive the most federal money for it , yet, itโs still dying 😰😰😰😰
Yes, it is the same for music. Internet and the digital revolution is so good to help artists connect to their fans but also annihilate much of their livelihood.
IKR, @persianrose? 😆I am hoping that all his various passion and life experience before his debut will help him stay grounded in the cutthroat entertainment industry.

The first painting is so beautiful. There’s something special about the simplicity of his drawing.

It’s actually a painting he drew as the Indigo Hotel brand ambassador/spokesperson, @gmelenco!
You can see the painting at 1’05” mark.

I think for all that he is multi talented, especially creatively, it’s his “Joy of Life” that he expresses best.
