[Drama chat] The drama you could watch 100 times

Thinking about drama classics and discussing “to watch or not to watch” brought up the question: what about the drama you’ll never ever get tired of watching? It could be old, it could be new, but it is constantly on replay as your K-drama home plate. Maybe it’s the first drama you saw and it reeled you in and has a special place in your heart that no other drama can replace. Or, maybe it’s a hidden gem drama that just hit you, and like a favorite book, you keep going back to that story and discovering more and more goodness.

For me, one such drama is Healer. Typical? Yes. But this drama does everything I love and gives me those warm and cozy hide-from-the-world-for-a-day vibes when I need them.

What’s the drama you could watch a hundred times, and why is it special to you?

With you on Healer @missvictrix - I rarely rewatch dramas (just don't have time), but that one I rewatched in its entirety, without ffing, just to revel in the brilliance of a genuinely engaging and well-plotted and well-paced story.

Another one, just for the way it moves me and makes me reflect on damage and healing, is It's Okay To Not Be Okay. I will never tire of watching Kang-tae sobbing his way through Zombie Kid...

I’m always surprised at how long Healer actually is when I go to rewatch. It’s not 20 hours long in my memory!!! No way! I know some 12-hour dramas that felt like more than eternity…not so with Healer!! 🧐

Twenty Five Twenty One and My Mister for very different reasons.

2521 is an accurate reflection on life and a nostalgic reminder of our past. As I age, I miss my old friend groups, I miss the dumb things we did, I miss the things I used to worry about. I regret how I handled some of my past relationships. 2521 drives all of that home. I always come back to this drama.

My Mister is me. I am the same age as Dong Hoon. I am in an engineering leadership/executive role. Like Dong Hoon, I’m very well respected by my peers. When viewed from the afar - my life looks perfect (IU’s character mentioning that she can’t imagine how anyone who makes xx year could be unhappy), but in reality it’s far from perfect. My family dynamic is a mess. I take on a role mentoring and helping as many young people as possible on both a professional as well as personal level. I try to help broken people despite being broken myself. I feel like this drama was written directly for me. Dong Hoon has soo many relevant lines - his quotes are my therapy. I always come back to this drama as well and I make sure to wear my good underwear.

I think this is something Koren dramas can do so well, to create something which resonates with us, being it My Ajusshi, Call It Love, Recipe for Farewell...

My theory is someone programmed in random words to pop up as a private joke. You see the correctly spelled word change into a series of letters that make no sense and are not next to the letters you actually typed, far too often for it to be coincidental🕵️‍♂️

😄😄
Sometimes I also suspect it tries to embarrass me whenever I start thinking my English is rather good. 😆

10

I find extremely funny (and frustrating) when I tried to write a Korean word romanized. For example "oppa" always becomes "oops".

But when a word in Spanish or English change for no reason, that's just annoying.
Maybe you're right, it's a prank. 😆

I loved loved loved Call it Love. I’ll give it some more time to see if it makes my forever rewatch shortlist

I usually just re-watch a show once, but this gem of a drama I have already watched 6 times in a span of 1 year — Because This Is My First Life. It doesn’t get old for me. I still feel all the feels every re-watch.

To no one’s surprise, this is my answer, too. There was a time where I rewatched it so much I probably could have given you the exact timestamp of any scene. 😂 But when I was making a gif for Elinor recently, I accidentally opened the wrong episode! I forgot what episode the scene was in! I couldn’t believe it! Didn’t know whether to be ashamed of myself for forgetting or proud of myself for finally overcoming my obsession. It’s been 3 whole years since I rewatched!

My other answer is Into the Ring.

Generally speaking, I much prefer watching new stuff over rewatching old stuff, but these two are the exceptions. I could watch them a million times and not get tired of them, I think.

There are quite a few films I’ve watched over and over, but only a handful of Kdramas. There are so many shows I haven’t seen yet that I’m disinclined to devote such a large chunk of my time to something I’ve already watched.

Like some others here, though, I return to Because This Is My First Life every now and again. With the show’s emphasis on character development rather than plot, the three couples have become familiar friends whose company I continue to enjoy. With each repeated viewing I see little details I hadn’t before. I have gradually come to find Ji Ho’s sudden disappearance slightly less puzzling/frustrating. I’ve even developed a tad more sympathy for Rang, though I still have the impulse to grab her by the collar and yell, “Just TELL him what you want!!!” every time she whines about not getting a marriage proposal from Won-Seok.

Mysteries and crime dramas are almost impossible to rewatch because the suprise element no longer exists after the first watch.

However, good romances, capers, comedies and family dramas almost always have rewatch value.

Mine are

Weighlifting Fairy Bok-joo
Shopping King Louis

I'll put it on my top to do list (Ehm, this research thing...) 😄 and I'll be sure to report to you on the wet shirts case. Thanks!

Pride and Prejudice is always re-watchable - whether it’s Colin or Matthew. Both are great in their own ways . I actually love that we have two so different but winning interpretations. Well, we are due for another re-make.

The recent remake of Emma or Persuasion is shockingly unwatchable. I love Rupert Penry-Jones’ Captain Wentworth (2007) although some Beanies think Ciaran Hand (1995) is the ultimate Wentworth.

I think I haven't seen any movies before 2000, but I liked the 2007 adaptation.

ANSWER ME 1988, I’m due for another rewatch tho. COFFEE PRINCE used to be one I’d watch regularly back in the day. Currently I’m in my era of rewatching old favs. Romance, Slice-of-Life and Comedy are the ones I usually gravitate to. I tend not to revisit thrillers, as there is longer any suspense. Tho PUNCH and HEARTLESS CITY are on my list.

Dramas I’ve rewatched (not including the above):
Hana Yori Dango (Japanese version)
My Girl
Ex-Girlfriends’ Club
Another Miss Oh
Healer
Pinocchio
You're Beautiful
Fight My Way
Age Of Youth S1&2
Surplus Princess

Yes I love how the FL is unabashedly messy in ANOTHER MISS OH. It’s refreshing to see an apologetic flawed female character who is dealing with emotions and unafraid to display them, as apposed to the thousands of Candys who are always optimistic and have the dreaded Hermès s-m-i-l-e. As much as KING THE LAND tried it’s best to critique this, ultimately Won went back the same rhetoric, that they don’t force their employees to smile, they smile willingly because they are happy lol. Same with Sa-rang when she opened her business, she wanted an employee to smile and welcome the guests. I understand this boosts business or whatever but for a show that ultimately wanted to critique this, it failed miserably imo. This is coming from someone who once worked in the service industry

I'm a big fan of hidden identities tropes (especially when the alternative identity is a bit dorky). And of course it doesn't hurt that the role is played by Ji Chang-wook.

I am a re-watcher. I have SO MANY shows that I have watched a hundred times in the past 15 years. Though the list changes as the years go by, like I'm not rewatching Protect the Boss every week now like I was ten years ago.

But I'm still rewatching Wild Romance a few times a year after 11 years. There is just something about it for me that I can't explain.

There are a few others too that I'm constantly rewatching (Lookout, Chief Kim, Train, Deserving of the Name, 365 Days, Wok of Love...) but I always click on Wild Romance again sooner or later.

That's me with Goblin!! It was my very first K-drama and although I've seen clips of it again, I haven't sat to watch it fully because I'm worried I'll ruin the magic of it being the first.

CLOY's ending always leaves me a bit numbed, no matter how many times I watch it. I cry like a baby every time too, somehow knowing what'll happen makes me cry harder!

Hopefully if/when you do rewatch CLOY, you'll find that you enjoyed it as much as you did the first time.

Goblin held up fine for me, Lapis!!! Although this is just one other Beanie’s opinion about a rewatch. 😌 I’ve seen it 3 times and watched it (almost) 100% of the way through each time… I think it may depend on how you ended up feeling about the last five minutes. If Goblin ended satisfactorily for you, the rewatch is super-rewarding even!

6

Required fields are marked *

I'm with you in the 'I liked the ending' camp! I thought it was sound considering the tone and themes of the show for sure. It's going to sound kind of stupid but the 'magic' that I'm worried will be overrided by a rewatch is the memories and feelings of watching Goblin as my very first K-drama. I'm - probably irrationally - worried that a rewatch would be like taping over the existing memory reel I have for this drama, especially since it's a very precious memory reel!!

5

I know the ending of Crash Landing on You also left some people dissatisfied, but I thought the writers hit on a brilliant solution to a seemingly impossible situation. Though I was dying to have the couple end up together, I could not imagine either one of them defecting to the other’s country. Se-Ri would never have been happy abandoning her thriving business and living in the repressive North; Jeong-Hyeok would have been deeply ashamed and also put his family in danger if he defected to the South. I was satisfied that they found a way to be together at least part of the time, without resorting to one of them making a huge compromise.

10

Wow YOUTH OF MAY! It’s an excellent drama no doubt but how so deal with watching the last few episodes? It made me bawl my eyes and I don’t think I could watch it again because of that 😢

It makes me bawl every-time without fail but I'm just spellbound by the drama. I really love dramas that make me feel really deeply, and YoM left/always leaves such a permanent and lasting mark, and I just never get tired of it 😭

I used to rewatch Reply 88 every day for like a month (I know I was crazy for doing that). 😄 The show just brought back my childhood memory; sharing food with neighbor, a friend coming for food casually, hanging out at a friend's house and so much more, I was reluctant to let go.
My next crazy obsession is Forest of Secrets (1-2); this series is THE ONE for me. I feel like getting a present I've always wanted; I like every element of the show, even the humor (Yeo Jin awkwardly hesitating what to do during Park Moo Sung's funeral is only a starter.)
It was in 2020 during school break and I didn't know what to watch, so I gave it a shot and the rest is history of constant rewatching and obsessing over, I even started lurking on this site just to find another souls who were equally captivated by this amazing show.
Other shows I rewatch but in moderation are My Mister, Dear My Friends, Life, Divorce Attorney Shin, and My Unfamiliar Family.

I almost died from laughter one time my unnie told me she didn't like Bo Ra. I was like "girl, YOU'RE LITERALLY HER".

One of my favorite scenes in kdrama history will always be the one when Deok Seon gets home in a hurry to hide the jacket she "borrowed" from Bo Ra, and the mom helping her by pretending to wash it. And then Bo Ra looks at Deok Seon like "something's sus here, I know you have something to do with this".

That's literally the story of my life! LMAO.

Logged in only to say this out loud: it's always going to be Happiness
Though i'm sure i have said it many times with other beanies🤣

In fact, i juts watched ep 8 of Happiness to see a certain scene. Where Yihyun took 2 steps to get close to Saebom and it makes her heart beat fast. I have lost count of how many times i have rewatched Happiness. I love the casting, our leads chemistry, and plot. It's not your normal zombie kdrama, it's full of heart.

Besides Happiness, i just finished rewatching Business Proposal for the third time and i think i will do it more in the future, to deepen my (new) love for Ahn Hyoseop. Also, it's light and funny.

la! Hi!!! It's nice to see you.

I really need to get around to watching Happiness. I've been saving it for some mythical future time when I really need a good show, have no other dramas to engage me, and have enough free time to get sucked into something - and that moment will probably never arrive, so I should just get on with it.
I think I rewatched every episode of Business Proposal at least twice while it was airing, but that's not the same thing.

I've only watched a tiny handful of dramas start-to-finish more than once because, like @IsaGC, I came late to this and have too much catching up to do. I guess W: Two Worlds is my answer to the prompt, as I've seen that three times. I've watched Alchemy of Souls, BTLIOF, Nine, Just Between Lovers, Beyond Evil, One Spring Night, and Queen Inhyun's Man twice+ each.

In my head I think, "Well, I've just finished a drama Beanies consider a "classic" or really fantastic in some other way, so now I need to watch something from another category so I don't use them all up." as if that's a real thing. Healer is one of these for me (among many others), and I know I'll love it I just need to find the time!

Go ahead and watch HAPPINESS, it has one of the best romances, especially considering it’s a thriller. Han Hyo-joo is fantastic, and while I disliked Park Hyung-shik in his past two dramas, he was brilliant in HAPPINESS. That said, there are A LOT of unlikeable characters, A LOT!
So if you’re ever feeling angry, I think this show is a good one to let your frustrations out!

As I won't watch any drama a hundred times, I don't know what to say. I have too many dramas to watch because I started too late with this (better late than never but I still regret missing this for so many years).
So I only can say that I have fully rewatched two dramas: Live Up to your name and Flower boy Next Door, and I loved them as much or even more than the first time.

And I will probably rewatch Taiwanese drama Someday or One day because it's now one of my favorite shows ever.

Same here. I won’t be rewatching anything many many times (as we all know 100 is just a way of saying). I have my fav shows though and I usually rewatch those shows several time back to back, until it reaches the point when I’m happy to move on. When I’m in a drama slump, I may rewatch certain or random episodes of a fav show, but historically, this didn’t seem to have helped any of my drama slump so I’m not sure if it would at some point 😅

For me, dramas I rewatch are ones that are comforting in some way. There are so many dramas on my Watchlist that I have yet to see that I don't generally take the time to rewatch. So if I do, it's a drama I really love. Dramas I've watched multiple times include Hello, Me!, Into the Ring, and Unlock My Boss. My most frequent rewatch for when I need something light, silly, funny, and free of angst is The Sound of Your Heart (*the original with Lee Kwang Soo*).

In the future, I can see Call it Love becoming a yearly rewatch for me, in the same way that Middlemarch was a yearly re-read during most of grad school. I'll also be adding Once Upon A Small Town to my permanently-rewatching list after I finish it - it's so soothing and sweet.

I am not a rewatched as many say there are too many new to me dramas from back in the day and some live watches I want to see. However, I was looking for a treasure hunt drama where characters talk to a plant I was convinced there was one in Go back couple only to find there is a plant but no one talks to it😬

Anyway the joy of rewatching and finding it was still the mood lifting drama I remembered it to be has meant I am going to risk watching another one this time from my top 10 and see if that is a success too. I have had too many week days of nothing to watch because my type of drama has gone out of fashion. There are some great dramas coming in October but if they don’t work for me I will try rewatching Be Melodramatic next.
I think I will stick with rewatching funny dramas as if my favourite slice of life dramas like Prison Playbook and Reply 1988 are not working on a rewatch it will be too devastating.

@technicat I wanted to ask, how did you find MY LIBERATION NOTES? Since it’s by the same writer of ANOTHER OH HAE-YOUNG which I rewatched multiple times and liked. Tho is it more like MY MISTER, which is a good drama no doubt, but is a little too depressing for my tastes

I faded at the end, didn't finish the last half of the last episode. Or maybe I did and didn't pay attention. Anyway, I liked it overall, the acting and tone and dialogue, and especially the liberation club, but I felt it just drifted at the end without resolution, which is like real life, but on the other hand I felt it didn't treat the alcoholism seriously, I mean, that's a pretty good-looking alcoholic, even the hair, this is no Leaving Las Vegas.

As a creature of habit, rewatching is like comfort food for me. Though I must admit it’s a lot easier with movies or mini series, than with your full fledged 16(+) episodes k-drama… However, I make sure to iterate through these (mostly not using the FF option, but sometimes I will):

* Something in the Rain (watching this and enjoying the emotional rollercoaster! Though the OST drives me crazy.)
* Crash Landing on You (… is there a pattern?)
* Business Proposal (it’s sweet, it’s silly, it’s fluffy: it’s an easy watch. I’m positively cackling any time the archeopteryx is calling her, the visuals are *chef’s kiss* Though I must admit I would appreciate if it had the phenomenal alternative ending that was posted on here 😆 )

… and I will definitely be rewatching KTL, whenever I need a sweet pick me up. 🤷‍♀️👏

I think I’m in the minority in not liking when songs with lyrics are part of a drama soundtrack. I find it very distracting, unless it’s actually being performed as part of the plot, or if it’s during an interlude where there’s no dialogue. I much prefer when the show is scored more like a film, where instrumental music is integrated with the dialogue and visual images to heighten the drama. (The screeching string chords that accompany the shower scene in Psycho is a classic example.) I really liked the scoring in a show I watched recently—I think it was Human Disqualifiaction—which used various combinations of orchestral instruments in an unobtrusive manner to literally underscore the drama.

Hmmm, dunno if it really counts, but I definitely forgot J-drama “First Love” in this list. It is heartbreakingly beautiful. Watching it for the first time left me in awe - and shattered. I have not watched another beautiful cinematography done as well as this. (The color palette in all the details!!! The shots! The characters & the interwoven storylines!) It’s an instant classic for me.

Run On because of the characters, the plot, the filming style and the cadence of the words spoken by Im Si-wan. Everything about this drama sets me at ease.

Love to Hate You (believe it or not). This one just sets my brain on mute and I really quite liked its length and pacing as well. Don’t mind watching these characters do their thing at all. I wish True to Love/Bora, Deborah! had been more like this.

Itaewon Class This is partially because it reminds me of the time I first saw it, but also, when I get super-upset and I want to feel how upset I am…I watch this drama. It used to be mainly for PSJ, but now it’s for Ahn Bo-hyun.

Because This Life Is our First If you are to enjoy the episode 11 kiss, you need to watch the whole thing. And then, once that kiss happens, you’re in it to win it. I happen to love the whole scene where Se-hee calls Ji-ho “mean”…so I also know that’s coming.

As with others here, I don’t know about one hundred times, mainly because there are too many new dramas coming out and I can’t imagine having the time!!! I like @hopefulromantic’s phrasing of “yearly” watches, though. I bet I’ll watch those shows above yearly, for sure.

I know from past experiences here that my favorite rewatches are out on the “long tail” end of the normal distribution of Beanie-Favorite dramas (perhaps except BTLIOF)…I know some of us also like to live out here! We are dedicated!! Anyone else feel that their favorite favorites are generally very divisive or flat-out unpopular? Do we just get to keep them for ourselves? 🙃

Go Won-hee was getting stereotyped as like a singular character ✈️. That said, I think she got the way better end of the deal in KTL…but that show felt way longer than 16 hours to me, I’m afraid. No prizes for guessing. If I had to pick just one drama, it would be Stranger. I admit I have also rewatched My Mister more than a few times, I guess that counts too.

Whenever I have wanted to uplift my mood (which is very often), I have rewatched bits of WFKBJ, OTVOI and to a lesser degree, Into the Ring.

Outside of kdramas, I'd rate some of the older tw-dramas as re-watch worthy, like In A Good Way and In Time With You. I've even rewatched some parts of Mars a few times - it shocks me how such a terribly old drama can still be such an addicting rewatch.

Among cdramas, I recently binged - for the first time - Nirvana in Fire, and was so completely overwhelmed, I immediately started a - slower paced- rewatch. I can totally see myself making an annual rewatch ritual of this show / the only costume drama to get this honour in my list :D Also the two very fine recent dramas by Li Mo, Remembrance of Things Past and Fake It Till You Make It - these are perfect packages in terms of storytelling, pacing, performance and production - it just makes me happy to see such good quality drama.

For jdramas, I'd pick the riotous, every-turn-a-surprise MIU 404, superficially a procedural, but so much more. I have loved this genre forever, so I'm bummed it's the only one of its kind in my list. I don't find kdramas or cdramas doing this genre too well.

In case you didn't figure it out already, I must add that I am - very much - a rewatcher! Especially dramas I have liked while airing live, I tend to rewatch episodes twice over to understand them better, and maybe once all over from the beginning after it has all ended. However, hardly any kdramas have done that for me lately, though, and I am sadder for it (Call It Love could be considered the solitary entry this year). I would be delighted if my rewatch list were to increase!

I tend to think most scriptwriters like to craft a bittersweet ending for all first love stories whereas we audience find it totally unnecessary. Ya, like PYC says, I just put down the IAGW ending as a precursor for the movie sequel we never got...

For the most of it, IAGW was a very charming drama, and depicted college life very similar to the way I remember it. Very few dramas (and certainly not memorable ones) are set on college campuses, as compared with the gazillion school dramas we get, so I find this show especially nostalgia-inducing.

Oh, I really love it, I guess it's why the end frustrated me :p . I likes the ambiance that was different from the other TW dramas.

1

As far as campus dramas are concerned, In A Good Way is indeed very close to the college life as I remember it. It is authentic and lovely with refreshing characters - none are evil and the 2FL is among the very few great non-bitchy characters.

3

That drama happens to be You Are My Spring for me. Each time I decide I want to do a drama rewatch I end up completing it - each single time.
Something about it being my favorite Kim Dong-wook and Seo Hyun-jin drama and the drama that made me an avid fan of them both.

The next on this list is actually a c-drama The War Princess Li Wei-young. Simply put, it's perfect. Tiffany Tang was a delight. Luo Jin didn't fail to deliver. The chemistry between Luo Jin and Tiffany Tang...just the right amount of sugar. The push and pull between the antiheroes and heroes, very engaging. And the female lead is smart. Smart and intelligent.

So far, I have not really been a drama-rewatcher. Since I only came to dramas two years ago, I still feel like I have a lot of catching up to do, so the only drama I've rewatched was the first drama I ever saw: Crash Landing on You. I think I'm much more inclined (at least at this point in my drama-watching career) to rewatch scenes and clips rather than whole shows.

For those, some of my favorite clips come from CLOY, Alchemy of Souls, Live Up to Your Name, Prison Playbook (I will never get tired of watching the side-romance play out), Search WWW (mostly the parts with Lee Jae-wook, both in his amazing drama and in his sweet romance with Hyeon), the good part of Love Is for Suckers (y'all know which part I mean), and some of the songs from The Sound of Magic.

I'm really good at rewatching dramas/movies. And if I like something I tend to watch it until it's stuck in my memory and becomes part of me.

1. I watched Flower Boy Next Door and I've been obsessed with the show since then (I'm not @enriquequierecagar for nothing). Used to rewatch the show like every two years since 2016, something like that.

I think that's my most consistent rewatch. The other ones are just stages?

2. When we first met kdramas (2010-2012) we were obsessed with the makjangs and other shows. So I did rewatch Tree of Heaven, Stairway to Heaven, Personal Taste, BOF, LSiHarvard etc., A LOT. Like A LOT. My whole family can whistle the Tree of Heaven soundtrack. And sing LSIH's theme song. 😂

2. When I was in my serial killer stage (2016-2019?), I rewatched Hello Monster a MILLION times.
I'm still obsessed with Min and Hyun, but I haven't rewatch the show for like 3 years.

3. When I had my Bo Ra obsession (2020-2021) I rewatched Reply 88 every few months. I always finished the show and said "I don't wanna cry again", but two months later I was watching it again.

4. In my "living for cuteness" stage (2016-2017?), I rewatched Shopping Wang Louie and Ho Gu's Love a lot. A LOT.

5. And finally, for my Kang Ki Young oppa obsession (2017-until I die), or just when I wanna laugh (and be all delusional about my Seul Gi unnie x Ki Young oppa future drama), I watch Oh My Ghostess.

Bonus:
—When I want some wild romance but I don't wanna watch the disaster show Wild Romance (beanies, NEVER watch that show, NEVER), I watch W or Flower of Evil.

—The shows I watch when I feel bad are Fight For My Way and It's Okay to Not Be Okay. But I've rewatched FFMW more than IOTNBO.

—When I wanna cry for other people's misery instead of mine I rewatch Black.

Fun fact: there are a few shows I've rewatch while watching them for the first time, because sometimes I don't care about subs so I watch some episodes raw first and then with the subs (Do You Like Brahms? To My Star 2, Once Again, etc).

I don't really re-watch anything because life is short, I fear my mortality, and there are always current dramas to get through. But occasionally I've been in the mood to revisit something that made me swoon and when that happens I watch sections of "One Spring Night" (but I ff some of the scenes with the clingy ex and the overbearing Dad) and "Crash Landing on You" (mostly the scenes when they're all in SK). I just find the tone and palette of these dramas to be so soothing.

I always think of "Healer" as my all-time favorite drama and plan to re-watch it someday, but it's like I haven't quite earned that re-watch yet, lol. I'm waiting for that perfect moment, I guess, or maybe it's that my memory of it is so precious that I don't want to watch again and think it's not actually as awesome as I remember.

My philosophy in drama watching is why must I force myself to watch new dramas that I don’t particularly enjoy when I can simply watch shows that are already proven to be enjoyable. I have a long list of shows to be rewatched but those that pop up in my mind now are Chocolate, A Piece of Your Mind, Search WWW, Nice Guy, Run On, Be Melodramatic, Radiant Office, Designated Survivor, Argon, Nirvana in Fire, All About Eve, etc. The trick is to fast-forward all the blood-rising scenes and only watch the drama’s magic that captivates me in the first place.

Mine is “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” (It’s commonly referred to as Goblin, I think) followed by “Crash Landing on You.”
Goblin was one of the first Korean dramas I watched starting about 4-5 years ago. I was instantly hooked. I bet I’ve watched it in its entirety 8-10 times. I even bought the DVD. I’ll try anything with Kim Go-Eun in it even though she’s had some scripts let her down imo.

CLOY had an excellent cast from the bit players to the leads (the SL’s story dragged a bit) but it was fun watching Hyun-Bin and Son Ye-Jin fall in love in real time. At least it appeared that they did.

I’ve also watched “Mr. Queen” multiple times. Shin Hye-Sun put in a blockbuster, hilarious performance.

There are a lot of new dramas out there, and everybody has a mile-long watchlist, but sometimes...you just need what that one special drama can provide! One of my go-to-dramas when I need a palate cleanser or a pick me up or just that comfy feeling of being at home in a drama is Mystic Pop-Up Bar. That's a drama I have watched from beginning to end a few times now and will go doing so as long as the Netflix Gods will let me. 😉 I love the narrative, the colours, the actors, the food, the smaller stories within the big one...it's light and fun although it deals with tough things. Some of my other rewatch dramas are Hyena (when you need a kick in the behind - or just because), Live up to your name (when you need your Kim Nam-Gil fix) and even Through the Darkness. Yes I know, but it is just so, so good.

You are so right we all gave a mile long list, but it is definitely about timing and mood - how a drama resonates with you at a particular time is what matters.

I like how you have listed various dramas for different reasons.

Oh I could give you one! 😉🤣 Sometimes you need to know what kind of feelings a drama will pull out of you. With the ones on my watchlist it's just not sure enough. 😉
