Beanie level: Rooftop room dweller

I started Itaewon Class and the second episode had them touring Itaewon during Halloween and I had to skip it because looking back what it used to be made me so sad.

Dali and Gamjatang is an excellent example of how you can have a tropey drama and make it feel fresh with sincere writing. Thinking of a rewatch

Yes absolutely!!! I just finished watching it, and it felt fresh all the way through. It was a delight!!!❤️

I haven’t watched that one yet! Is it really good?

I didn’t specially like it. They had everything to make a nice story about food and art and they completely failed for me.

I really enjoyed it!! I personally loved the main couple a lot!! (It was a fave of mine in 2021 😍)

Of course it’s not without flaws, you need to see for yourself if the balance is in favor of the good or the bad! XD

I personally loved it because it was the right amount of tropey and sincere. There must have been some things which didn’t work out but I barely noticed them because what I liked far outweighed the bad

Thinking of starting Itaewon Class because I have missed PSJ these days

Doooooo it…but I’m an “unapologetic apologist” for the drama. PSJ is absolutely gripping in this drama; you’ll have a hard time keeping your eyes off him.

The supporting characters are hit-or-miss, and I feel that they are the thing that folks complain about most when dissing the drama. That said, all of these characters are acted superbly by their actors…especially, ESPECIALLY, Ahn Bo-hyun.

Oh god, given the amount I now want to type…I clearly need to take this to my fan wall at some point 🪭 rather than pestering you!

Go for it! I liked Itaewon Class. It was one of my favorite dramas of 2020.

I really liked Itaewon Class. Didn’t watch it when it was airing, I think I watched it only last year or so. It is a gripping g story, though I don’t think you can take lessons in it and apply them irl per se.

I just got to know that Fran Drescher from the Nanny is heading the actors union and I am really happy about that. That show is extremely underrated and had great writing

So the actors in Hollywood are going on strike and I am for it. Not every actor is a big name and they deserve to be renumerated. Make those studios pay

Hopefully it will finally give the strike the push it needs for the writers (and lower-paid actors) to get what they deserve!

Never thought Heartbeat would be the better 2PM drama this season but looks like the case

KTL needs to take lessons from Heartbeat on how to give leads moments while also giving time to other elements like the plot

Oh, come on. You know there’s only one plot in KTL, and the plot is…Junho.

100% agree on Heartbeat. Yet, I will keep watching KTL because you know, its plot. 🙂

Giving my final college exams and i am genuinely scared for what lies ahead and whether i will make it or not but i am not crippled by the fears

KTL Ep 8: I loved watching the leads hang out but my god does this drama not know how give attention to other storylines. Yes, I love the leads onscreen but I also want to watch other things happening

Is it just me or was ep 5 of KTL actually good? I mean it wasn\’t amazing but it did highlight the vast difference between our leads\’ social position and they hung out. I personally liked it.

I liked ep 5 for the same reasons as you but then ep 6 felt like a chore to get through. I feel like this would work much better as a short webdrama.

I really liked episode 6 although I feel like they could have reduced our leads’ screentime by 30% and given me snippets of the besties or even office politics.

The back half of my house is undergoing construction and it has been absolute hell with the constant dust settling on stuff and the soaring temperatures. Its been awful for my bro and my mental health

I think one of the few signs of maturity is realising that toxic people will never change. They will be the cause of their own misery but will never really realise it.

2

And then the next step into maturity is stop bothering about those toxic people. You just learn to nod, smile and say a-ha, but cut the relation/connection to the minimum and then forget about them. I know it may sound impossible, but you will get there.

My dad always says that whenever you randomly meet someone who asks you “How are you?” you should always smile and say “Fantastic” even if you are feeling down: if they are friends, they will be happy for you, and if they are not and enter in that kind of toxic people, they will be annoyed and that is a win-win.

    Trust imo Eaz.

Thank you Eazal. I am hoping I reach that stage quickly. Your dad has some great advice right there

Recently dealt with an upset stomach and it really made me miss food that I enjoy. It made me really appreciate the fact that I can eat many things and don\’t have many food restrictions.

Me: Let us focus and study in this one hour.
My brain: Now what if this happened with those two characters in that show.

Yoon Park really needs to get his own show as lead. The guy has the acting chops for it.

He did in Fanletter Please – but it’s only 4 episodes and not a bad show. He’s definitely lead material.
