Beanie level: Wrongly accused fugitive

Tough day at work beanies. It’s hard to stay motivated at work when your colleagues don’t put half the effort you try to put into it and then have zero initiative to help you out. *sigh*

I’ve seen and heard of him a bit, but not enough to like dive in his work. However, Start Up has changed that. He makes a character that may be played as one note by someone else, and gives it lots of shades and charm to it. I hope his career goes more up after this show, a la Jung Hae In (Prior 2nd ML in the writer’s drama). Let’s hope he accepts that tvN drama, I want to see him in a really good or semi-good rom-com in full!!

That’s his charm I think. I’ve seen him in about 5 of his works and I’m always left wanting to see more of him. Please be a good TvN drama!

Look I’m not expecting much given the writer’s previous work, but I’ll take Kim Swoon Ho in just about anything rn, esp. in a rom-com genre with a role that calls for sexy!! Sign me up!! Yes Chef indeed 😉

Seems like there were a lot of deleted DYLB scenes. ☹😭 Hopefully someone gets ahold of the BluRay and shares.

I just went through the fan wail and I hope I didn’t miss any DYLB post. I liked them all. Woke up this morning and I’m still happy. 🥰🥰

If you guys get a chance go to the soompi Brahms thread because I just spent my lunch time laughing at the Brahms’ fans there.

Oh and great observations. They mentioned how JY put the ring on SA’s right hand because he still considers her a violinist. And they always use rings on their right hand. Excuse me as I try to get over myself.

I just watched a little clip and noticed that, too! So sweet!

Joon Young will join the ranks of Mr. Knightley & Thornton for my expectations in men lol. He’s just so considerate and sweet. ❤

I wondered about it but didn’t get the violin reference until others talked about it.

Pftt I didn’t either. I just thought…oh this is important because he grabbed her left hand first then her right! But I didn’t know why. That’s why I enjoy reading others’ comments; they enlighten me.

It flashed me back to the much less happy couple rings moment between HH and JK, unfortunately.

OTP aside, it’s interesting how JY played Brahms as Director Nah’s funeral was happening, since she had asked him to play Brahms for her. Idk if it was intentional or not but I couldn’t help but notice.

Episode 15 of Brahms had some gorgeous shots. Love the last one with Song Ah’s back & the snow. Or the one with JY’s reflection on the piano.

I’m not ready for this to be over tomorrow.😭

I know the fanwall is falling apart because of episode 14 of Brahms. But I actually enjoyed this episode and find the build up to the break up and the break up itself an interesting watch. Both JY and SA need a breather to be honest.

This does have me beginning to suspect that I have a pretty high tolerance for what is deemed “melo.” Although everything Song Ah expressed this episode doesn’t seem melodramatic to me; I feel like she’s had very realistic reactions to everything that’s been thrown at her. Joon Young too, guys are sometimes just on another wavelength. He doesn’t mean to hurt Song Ah but he does, unwillingly. So maybe in my book I don’t even classify this as melo so that’s why I’m still enjoying this. Who knows.

That being said, I’m (unfortunately) not very convinced that the writer will sort this out in a satisfactory manner. I’m trying to be optimistic though. Surprise me Show. Please let these two puppies be happy. And no one year time jump.

I feel like they could have cut out half the professor and Jung Kyung stuff (which felt repeated over a stretch of 4 episodes) and maybe introduced the break up sooner to then give us a more developed ending with a cute finale. But hey….shall see how they make this work.

I am with you on this one. The episodes this week are not disappointing, and I did think they need this. I actually liked the fact that Song Ah – did express everything that she feels and thinks to JY. Also, she is just looking out for herself and for her to get confident first and find out who she is before she can love. They each need to be their own whole selves before they can fully love someone else. Hopefully this gets delivered well next week. I am also keeping my fingers crossed to this.

    4
    1

Right? I was cheering for her when she questioned why JY was always apologizing. If she’s not happy she shouldn’t keep struggling. I know JY is struggling too but it’s like he’s emotionally blocked and can’t fully confide in Song Ah. Even him trying to hide the Träumerei recording to not hurt Song Ah was opposite of what she had asked of him. She didn’t want him to hide things from her to ‘protect’ her. She’d rather be made aware. They both need time to heal on their own. They just have too much pressure on them from outside forces.

Maybe something was lost in translation but can someone explain what Director Na replied to Professor Lee’s comment about Song Ah being good wife material? I didn’t understand at all??

0
5

Professor Lee was saying that Song-ah would be a nice wife for Joon-young coz she’d be good at packing his bags and managing his schedule. Director Na said Joon-young is not the type of person who would pick who he’s dating based on such things. What did the trans you saw said?

    1
    2

So I guessed she meant that’s not the reason why he’s dating Song-ah. He’s not the type to think about what would benefit him then take advantage of that.

Ahhh ok. I can’t remember exactly (terrible memory) how it was translated but I wasn’t able to tell if she was standing up for JY/SA or not. Thanks though! It was going to bother me not understanding it.

I think it was meant as a kind of reassurance to Song-ah. She was trying to say Joon-young doesn’t date Song-ah because he thinks she is/would be a great assistant to him. Instead, the director is saying Joon-young is the type of person who’d date somebody if he liked that person, not out of some instrumental desire to use that person for his own selfish ends.

I watched episode one of I’m Not A Robot yesterday. I had forgotten how much I like Chae Soo Bin.

What really gets me with Jung Kyung is that she kept telling Hyun Ho to get over her and seemed frustrated that he didn’t respect her decision regarding the break up. Yet, she’s doing the same and far more towards Joon Young. She doesn’t respect his decisions, much less his feelings. How many times does he have to tell her he likes Song Ah and that he’s over her? I tried liking her, I did! She’d make a great professor but she can be incredibly conceited. The environment she grew up in clearly has something to do with it but at the end of the day it’s no excuse. Get lost Jung Kyung! 🙂

I am waiting for the day Joon Young has an epic melt down and screams at people……the boy has had to deal with enough as it is with Jung Kyung disrespecting boundaries set by him at every turn she can

I feel like it’s not really Jung-Kyung, it’s the writer. She’s dragging out the same issues because she doesn’t know how else to get from point a to point b. Let’s hope she will reward us with a good ending starting tomorrow. We’ve put enough pieces in place now.

The tragedy is that JK really has potential to be a multi-dimensional character and not just a villainous foil for our OTP. I have really been pulling for her to evolve into a more thoughtful, kind person, focused on something that gives her purpose (like teaching). It seemed possible to me after she took that conversation with her dad about being careful not to hurt people to heart – she seemed genuinely remorseful about how she treated HH. I see glimmers of a good person in her with the master class (still honestly one of my favorite scenes), in her scenes with Ji-won, and Park Ji-hyun’s acting has been excellent. I think the writer has got a little bit stuck with her, and the best acting in the world won’t fix that.

I was right hating this character from the start 🤔😈 hahaha, kidding aside, this person is so annoying, really. I was glad Hyun Ho pointed out things in ep14 and walked away. She deserved that.

I’m excited to see where we’re heading with Song Ah. Taking into consideration her struggles this episode I found it interesting when JY used the phrase “reluctance to give up.” He was talking about musical pieces but it fit very well with Song Ah’s career struggles. I adore her and her passion for the violin but maybe this path won’t be the one that makes her happy. And I want her to be happy!

Yes to happiness please! I’ve been miserable with Song Ah what with all these people saying hurtful things. But sometimes, we have to deal with the truth right? I pray that she choose what would make her happy in the end.

It’s great to have dreams and a passion for things but sometimes you can be blindsided by that one-track mind and not realize the actual reality of things. Although it’s tough watching her struggle and get depressed after hearing those kinds of things from people, I know for sure our girl will only come back stronger and find the right path for her.

I don’t know where my mind is sometimes. Today I was about to leave my car with the key and running as I was going back in to work after lunch. Judging myself, beanies, really. 🙄

I need to go to sleep and this is really random and almost insignificant…but did you guys notice how Song Ah had an iced coffee and Joon Young had tea when they were walking in the hallway? Throwback to early episodes where we learned he doesn’t like drinking coffee, so yeah just another confirmation that he was just being nice.

Ahhh good catch! 🙂 And good of the drama in keeping up with consistent details.

I did. Actually, every time he has had either tea or coffee since then. As I non-coffee drinker, I’ve noticed. 😁

My brain is super fried after work today, so I forgot about the coffee thing, but I did notice he had tea and there as a small part of my brain that was like “this is significant” but was too tired to tell me why.

Amidst my fangirling high I forgot to mention this regarding Brahms. One of the swooniest lines from this week was when Joon Young told Song Ah he was also concerned/affected by every single thing she said and every single thing she did.

Forget shoelace tying when he says these things. Song Ah had said it first but having Joon Young say it right back to her was so sweet. Not only because he reciprocated the feeling but the mere fact that he said it word for word how she said it to him proves that he is concerned and attentive to Song Ah and everything she says and does. He remembered what she said word for word guys. And he’s just too sweet I can’t handle it.

yes I’m also ashamed of my run on sentence but Song Ah and Joon Youngggg
