I hate the fact that I am the kind of person who absorbs a lot of environmental stress. At one point, I need to stop torturing myself and wait for people to make their own choices. Its exhausting tbh

          It’s not about being rude but not being sensitive at all considering you are asking someone to sh**t themselves.
          In my opinion it’s too aggressive but I’d rather ask @db-staff about it. I may be overreacting and in that case I sincerely apologise.

    It’s called empathy, Mani. And you are fortunate to be that kind of person. Now you need to learn that being able to put yourself in other’s place doesn’t mean you NEED to do it. Always remember that putting yourself in the first place is not being selfish. You are just taking care of yourself. So when you feel you are being dragged into that kind of exhausting feeling, ask yourself this: what would I say to another person who told me they were feeling like this and needed air to breathe? Would I tell them to step back? If so, why am I not stepping back?
    Follow your own advice. Put yourself in the middle and be gentle to yourself.
    Takes time and practice, but I know you will do it.

Focus on what you can and should only do, set boundaries, and practice positive self talk. Remember that it is not your job to be everything to everyone. ((Hugs)) to you, Mani.

Hi, Beanies!

Last week I was traveling in space and time (yes again). I spent some wonderful days in Malta (yes again) in a lovely Regency event (and… yes again).

Let me share some nice photos form the event. The Saturday dress was the only new one, I always have the best intentions to sew two dresses, but in the end I only managed to finish that one. I’m afraid I’m a lazy person, hahaha. And also I share a detail of a certain brooch I think you will recognize, hehe.

I’m already counting the days to go back to Malta. It always feels like being home!

    My first office was near the Embassy of Malta, therefore it always has a very special place in my heart.

    We kept an “eye” out for your special brooch. Hope you enjoy wearing it.

          Oh no! I learned from Sicarius that if a photograph / gif is too big for DB it will post but show up as a little blue box. One can see it on the original host site by right clicking it. It might work if one knows but not for innocent passerby scrolling the Fanwalls. 😅

        Not cosplay, it was a reenactment event. A Regency weekend in Malta it’s organised by a Maltese group and we enjoy activities from that period (Regency / Napoleonic era would be from 1790 to 1820 more or less). This time we visited a Monastety on Saturday, then had lunch on an old church yard. On Saturday evening we had a ball, and we spent more than four hours dancing. Finally on Sunday we had a picnic day on a Baroque villa, and we also danced in the afternoon 😊

          ha ha.. got it.. you know i understand it now because in Vampire Diaries they did something like this in season 1…

          But absolutely wonderful tradition and cultural thing.. these reenactments must be fun!!!

I have high hopes from this drama in offering a social commentary on this topic.🤞
