I think I might have been expecting too much from the writers because this episode was just plain. Almost borderline filler episode. I was hoping for a confrontation between GH and VP and Dae-Joo at least but we were given a lousy one. I won’t even call it a confrontation because it only lasted about 10 seconds and GH did not explain anything to Dae-Joo when confronted.

The upside is that they kissed and a ton of cute moments (albeit under the ruse that GH was “Veronica”)

    I was kinda sad that the writer didn’t use the opportunity to make everything more interesting and exciting because the story has great potential.
    Min Ik and Gal Hee saved the episode with their cuteness^^ and that KISS!

      I agree!! I was hoping that Min Ik would be smarter and figure everything out because he was introduced to be such an intuitive character 🙁 But yes! Their cuteness and kiss made up for it so I’m satisfied. For now. hehe

    This episode was so cute, between his drunk goofiness to putting on those compression socks.
    I had not seen Kim Kwang-young in anything but “Lookout” and “The man living in our house”. But this weekend I took the time to watch On Your Wedding Day and now know why he is so loved. He plays adorable and loving so well! Even if the ending wasn’t what I wanted – he played the role well and now I’m a huge fan. Especially with his goofy, playfulness.
    This show is now my Monday/Tuesday crack.

      I first noticed him in Pinocchio and have liked him ever since. In that drama, he was spoiled, rich, and innocent, but had a moral compass that made him take responsibility for his mom’s wrongdoing and compelled her to also take responsibility.

I started One Spring Night despite people being burned by Pretty Noona. So far it has got my attention but I kind of wish this was more of a movie. I might binge watch the whole thing but I\’ll see after next week’s episodes.

    How is this as it’s moving towards the end? I Hayes the back half of Pretty Noona and haven’t tried this drama because of it and the comments about the music and because it seems to be about adultery and I just can’t get behind that in my entertainment.

      I stopped watching after episode 3, to be honest. Those two songs they keep playing in the
      background put me off and the story wasn’t something I’m too interested in.

I’m a bit confused with the whole blind thing. One eye was blinded by a shard of glass hitting the cornea but wouldn’t it make her only blind in one eye thus making her only partially blind? :/

    I was confused too. I thought the falling lamp was a dream. And she lost her eyesight in a car crash that killed her parents (i assume thats how they died) 😅

    Turns out the lamp really fell on her.

    An acquaintance of mine had an accident happen to one of his eyes. Doctors said if his main sight nerve which is between the two eyes, was damaged he would lose both eyes’ sight. Fortunately it wasn’t damaged and he only lost one. BUT, in that case it would have been irrevocable. No surgery could help.

I love how petty they can be with each other and you’d think they’ve been dating for quite some time with the way they bicker on the phone. I also find it cute that he falls asleep to the sound of her voice (not in the “I’m bored by the sound of your voice” kind of way but more like “your voice brings me comfort and peace” kind of way).

I live near the beach but I don’t go often because of tourists and when I do go I only go at night whenever I have a mental breakdown. But today I went because I thought today’s weather was perfect and schools haven’t let out the kids for summer 🙂

        I am not really used to extreme beach crowds – the kind that keep you off the beach. Plus, I always try to go to the more hidden beaches as a further means of crowd avoidance.

        Talking about this makes me want to go now!!! I am ready. I have all the gear in my trunk!! No joke, umbrellas and chairs (even inner tubes) are all in my car. I don’t have space in my apartment so all my beach equipment permanently resides in the trunk. Hahahaha

            The beaches don’t get too hot ever where I live (Northern CA). It’s usually foggy in the morning and and temperate by midday. I have sat many a time on a beach with sweatshirts on, beach blanket wrapped around me and feet buried in the sand in an attempt to stay warm. Hahahahaha.

I’ve heard about Drunken Tiger and Yoo Mirae but never gave their music a chance. It’s a shame I hadn’t because I was really missing out!

    Drunken Tiger is actually a group that made hip-hop hip-hop known in South Korea and was part of the Movement Crew (1st generation of rappers like LeeSSang, YDG, Dynamic Duo, Epik High, Double K, Bizzy, Yoon Mirae and more).

    Tiger JK is one of the founding and still active members of Drunken Tiger and releases songs under their name. But he decided to stop using the name after his latest album (I love you too is one of the tracks). He’s also the father of hip-hop in Korea. If you watched School 2015, he did the OST “Reset”.

    His wife, Yoon Mirae, is considered the best female rapper in Korea. She was in a duo called Tashannie and in the co-ed group Uptown (fun fact: Jessi replaced her when she left the group). She’s also a great singer and did OST too (Master’s Sun, It’s Okay That’s Love, Descendants of the Sun, Legend of the Blue Sea, etc).

    Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae are part of the trio MFBTY formed with their friend Bizzy aka the “Gong Yoo of Hip-hop”.

            Are we sure that the new GF didn’t secretly ToD him: therefore, inducing some sort of amnesia so he has forgotten his true girlfriend?

            Or maybe this a larger corporate caster plot orchestrated by Dr. John and new GF (who is probably a minion) to bring in new clients who will then spread the word of his skills to message boards across the world.

            Little did the naive doctor know that drama watchers are hip to these kind of plots after watching many a makjang twist, and we cannot be fooled by such amateurish tricks.

I /absolutely/ hate love triangles with a fiery passion!!! I believe a drama can have enough story material without the unnecessary middling of outer forces like second leads and mean ahjummas that have control issues. I think that romantic relationships have enough hardships on its own and we can further explore what makes them tick and how well they work together. And no one (ie. puppy second leads like Jisoo, poor puppy, when will the day come where he gets the girl?) will get needlessly hurt in the process 🙂

Any beanies want to expand on this? I’m not sure if I put my point across well but I hope you can see my point of view

    I completely agree with you. I immensely despise love triangles and see absolutely no need for it as a plot device. In K-dramas, they almost always turn the 2nd ML into a forceful asshole and I always end up hating them. And when they’re not assholes, they get hurt. I just don’t understand the obsession over that one person. If someone doesn’t like you, just back the fuck off! It’s not by force! You can crush on them in silence but then forcing yourself unto them – Arggg!
    It’s a plot device that’s so old and by this point, I almost always chuck it to lack of creativity from the writer. I know I can’t always avoid love triangles in Kdramas but I do in anime and manga. Once I see ‘harem’ or ‘love triangles’ in the tag or description, I’m out! ✌🏾

      Yes to all your points! If I can’t avoid the triangle/harem, I just hope for the best for the mains! I hate to see anyone get hurt and especially if the writer(s) write the second leads to be better people than the mains, I know they (SLs) won’t get the girl/guy and it hurts me more *sigh*

    I agree but also want to qualify it with, love triangle can be effective and exciting at the “will they won’t they” stage, but once the leads already begin their official relationship, the third leg of the triangle seems really unnecessary for the very reason you stated. When the lead is still figuring out their feelings, it’s interesting to see how they figure out how they feel about other lead vs second lead and why other lead is the right person for them.
