Rewatching Episode 1 of Put Your Head on My Shoulder last night, I was impressed by how well done the the exposition episode is introducing all the main characters’ personalities and their current relationship dynamics as well as hints of their future relationship.
In the first 3 minutes of the episode, we see MoMo’s “College Plan” she wrote for herself when she was a Freshman:
1. Catch up on learning about Marketing
2. Successfully graduate
3. Find a job I like
4. Go camping with friends
5. Date happily once
I love how the first 3 things she listed relate to her career ambition! This of course also sketches out the roadmap for the story.
Has it been translated since? If so I am so happy that WeTV finally realizes that these are great funny gems in the drama which should not be ignored!!
I wish WeTV translated Weiyi’s random Baidu searches as well. There were a lot of gems in the drama that were not translated because they were just texts on paper or device.
I truly feel cheated by the subs! (and yet, so grateful they exist!)

Momo is such a great and wholesome character!
I’m so spoiled by Viki that it’s annoying to watch dramas where things like text messages, documents related to the plot, and song lyrics aren’t ever translated! Not translating text messages is especially annoying, as those are actually part of the dialogue of the drama!
Someone commented on one of my posts before saying that Momo has a good head on her shoulders when it comes to standing up for herself in front of FunPei, and I agreeโ but Iโd like to extend that and say that she has a good head on her shoulders in general ๐ค๐ค๐ค Iโm glad that we have a female lead that can think of things for herself that are outside of the โfalling in love and getting marriedโ scope, even though those arenโt bad things either =)
This is a drama in which I can totally understand the hero’s pretty immediate attraction to the heroine!! I really hate it when the drama does not provide depthful characterization for the leads and we the viewers are left scratching our heads as in why we should ship the OTP.
I really liked the fact that the girl did not get awed by the male leads look instantly. In fact, she hardly noticed him for a long time. I really like this.
THIS!! She recognizes that he is good looking, but in the beginning she just refers GWY to her roommates as that funny guy with the grumpy face. So happy that this drama is not just this:
Yup. I can’t remember what it was about this drama that hooked me at first. Maybe if I rewatch it it might come back to me. But, I do remember loving both leads at first and hoping to the divine that Fu Pei didn’t have a snowballs chance in hell. It’s really, really rare that I like both leads. I think I feel in love by Ep 4.
