Beanie level: Entertainer-in-training

Kim Do-ha and Mok Sol-hee are so adorable together in ep6. They are just soooo cute.

I mean after all these years I still squeal whenever I watch this clip. That has to say something. Yonghwa is precious. Seo-hyun also looks ethereal in this video.

I like to watch it sometimes too!

Yonghwa is a great song writer.

I don’t know why, but I always like CN Blue songs (e.g., Love Light, Can’t Stop). I’m sure he is a great song writer, musician, and singer.

When life seemed much simpler.

I love this movie so much! You’re right, it does carry the nostalgia of a simpler time. It was also the first Studio Ghibli movie I ever watched – my mum found it randomly when she was channel surfing, watched it and liked it so much that she went and found a copy at the library so she could show me/watch it with me again. I don’t actually remember too much detail of first impressions and all that, because I was quite young, but I can recall the warm, awe struck feeling I had watching it with my mum – very much a treasured childhood memory 💕 Thank you for the trip down memory lane!!

My utmost pleasure! Kiki was my first Ghibli and I watched it when I was 12. I just recently watched this one though I’d heard of it long before then. Tbh, the first time I watched it, I wasn’t that impressed with it. You know.. there are ghosts everywhere.. and at a bathhouse? Nothing made sense, really. But the magic is that I just watched it again for the fifth time yesterday, and I keep discovering more and more things about the movie. Somehow, this show is a classic. It was beyond the time it was produced, and it seems like it will age well for another or several decades.

I’m happy that it brought back some fond memories of you and your mother. I’m sure you guys had a great time then. Your mother had very good taste.

I can\’t believe I\’m saying this: Watch My Lovely Liar everyone!
I never particularly liked Kim So-hyun as an actress before, but somehow she is starring in this fun show!
Ep 1 looks promising!

Suspect: Kim Do-ha (My Lovely Liar)

The victim doesn’t want it returned, just want to give an official statement.

Same, I am not a big fan of her or her dramas previously, and actually here for Minhyun

This is awesome to know! Does it mean that finally someone has written a proper adult role for her? Yay!!!

She is looking good in this (though you might wanna skip the ending bit of ep2 when she acts immature). I’m not sure if I’m biased because of the ML though. ☺️

Pleaso do. I am on the fence about this movie. I read the novel and quite liked it. I was dissapointed at Firefly Lane’s adaptation.

I just finished it a moment ago (watching its end credits now) and it was great. I haven’t read the book nor did I have any expectations, but show was really good. I don’t watch movies a lot, but I think a show is good if it makes me smile and laugh and cry, probably not at the same time. The cinematography is prefect. Love the woods and Painted Meadow. I don’t know if it’ll live up to your expectations, but the visuals are already stunning.

Watched this yesterday. I agree with you about the visuals. It’s breathtaking and calming. As for the story, chance are you’ll like the book more if you liked the movie. For me, it’s quite okay.

Btw, is the Firefly Lane’s book much better than its movie adaptation? It’s been on my to-watch list for a while. And have you watched Sweet Magnolia? I really liked it and patiently waited for the new season which just came out.

Yes, it was! I’ve read a few from this writer and she’s Good! I haven’t checked it yet. Ah, it’s seasonal? The thing is, I hate to wait. 😂 But, we’ll see.

I tried the first ep of Hidden Love but it didn’t really click with me for some reason.

Changed to The Dragon Prince:Mystery of Aravos. Completely hooked. 🐉

Though the show veered into the noble idiocy territory (the way I see it is it’s totally idiotic), the show is still ♥️.

Yes, I don’t get why sacrificing oneself is perceived as such a wonderful K-drama trope…

It might induce some romantic and or deep feelings I don’t know if it was a decade or more years ago, but right now it looks almost like pure idiocy. Work together, will you?

Touch Your Heart is so cute!! I’m at ep8 now and the leads are just chef’s 💋. When I said I wanted old-school romcoms, I meant this.

The leads I never thought I would adore! But man, they are perfect together in this show. Just so very adorable together.

I love them since Goblin. The show is really like a fanservice for the Grim and Sunny fans.

I actually didn’t really like them in Goblin (aka the leads I never thought I would adore), but somehow they work here for me. They are just so adorable. I never thought YIN could act (wasn’t impressed by her previous projects such as QIHM and Goblin), but she rocks the role here. So adorable and pretty. LDW is such a cutie when he’s in love. 💋💕💕💕

YiN is really pretty and bubbly in TYH. I think I like her best in roles like that. LDW is adorable when inlove. Cute couple! 💕

I understand with Goblin. They were the star crossed lovers and their story may not appeal to all.

Guess which drama I’m watching rn.

Touch Your Heart – (leads I never thought I would adore), but Omoni it turns out to be a 💎.

Omigosh.

I have not watched it yet.
I knew that it’s going to be out from Netflix soon. But it’s on Viki, so I can see it there too, anytime (I guess, because you never know with Viki…).

That’s good. In my region, it doesn’t look like NF will remove this title anytime soon. I’m only on ep5 now, and so far I like it more than I thought I would. I intend to savor this one slowly, but I’m not really sure if I can do this. (Binged 4 eps yesterday).

From the book “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse” by Charlie Mackesy: The Animated Story:

“What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever said?” asked the boy.
“Help,” said the horse.
“Asking for help isn’t giving up,” said the horse, “It’s refusing to give up.”
