    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
    “I’m dizzy.”
    “Um, okay.”
    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
    “Look. At. Me.”
    “Um, okay.”
    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
    “What do you see?”
“There’s a hole where you head used to be.”
    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
    “What else?”
    “Your face’s all red.”
    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
“Why do you think it’s red?”
    “You’re blushing.”
    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
    “I don’t blush.”
    “Oh.”
    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
“I’m bleeding. There’s a hole in my head. I’m freaking bleeding to death here, babe.”
    “Oh, hell. Shit. Oh shit.”
    “Babe.”
    “Yeah?”
    “Get me to ER. Now.”
    “I’ll get the car.”
    “Babe. Piggyback me.”
    “Huh?”
    “You heard me. Piggyback me.”
“But it’s – it’s far. Like really, really far.”
    “Do it, babe.”
    “But why?”
“I want to die on your back.”

    SILENCE.

Heavy breathing. Muffled grunts. Door opens and shuts. Front gate opens and shuts. Footsteps running.

    SIX HOURS LATER

    “Babe.”

    SILENCE.

    “Babe!”

    SILENCE

“We’re here, babe. Babe? HELP, SOMEBODY, HELP! MY BABE’S COLLAPSED. HELP ME, PLEASE… BABE, WAKE UP….BABE, BABE….DON’T SCARE ME NOW, BABE, BABE…”

      WHAT! NOOOOOOooooooooo!

Wait a minute! You pulled a fast one there, right? It’s CH who’s collapsed. Is this where the angelic second male lead, the ER Doctor, shows up next? Hmmm…

Don’t tell me the ER doctor is CH’s twin brother. The nice second lead. The one who will never get our Candy.

      Also, where’s Veronica!?

      Where’s my cross-dressing triplets?

I’m confused. I thought it was errand boy girl with a head wound but it looks like cold hot ceo is injured and dying 😱

I wonder how far CH got before he collapsed? Although @yyishere gave us all sorts of interesting insights on various close up features of our Candy, she never did tell us how heavy our Candy was compared to CH…

She’s candy. The immutable law of kdramas tells us that candy can never compare to the ceo.
She’s going to be a babe bebe forever.

I was getting flashes of Coffee Prince – Eun Chan piggy backing Gong Yoo all over the place.

Aha. It’s a MASTER TWIST. * SLOW CLAPS* BRILLIANT, YY. JUST BRILLIANT. CONFUSE ‘EM. SO THEY DON’T THINK TOO MUCH.

Any moment now, @ally-le ‘s going to appear. She’s my most favourite person. Anything she doesn’t understand, she just mutters, “It’s not real. Errand Boy Girl’s imagining it. That’s why things appear and never get mentioned again. Like The Samurai Sword. Good job, ally!

“That’s why things appear and never get mentioned again.” – Like Victoria-Veronica?

I still think she’s unconscious in the closet tied up by Victoria and any second now, Hot-cold Ceo’s male Secretary is going to come in and find her naked and fall in love with her and take her to his rooftop room!!!

      Dying here 🤣🤣🤣

The only time that I saw that happen in a drama was in Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Quite poignant.

You’re right, I cried that time.

And Mr. Sunshine…buckets of tears for me.

Jewel in the Palace. The nice lady freaking died on her back. I cried like mad. My hubby was howling too. With laughter. 😬😬😬😬

          @he-bang,
My thoughts exactly about the death of Lady Hae. One of Kang Haneul’s best scenes, gorgeously framed in the snow.

Yes it was a beautiful scene. One of the scenes that kept me hooked, convinced me that the team was getting their act together,…

That was so, so sad…she was beautiful, and he was so handsome and broken. That snow was gorgeous. The whole scene was just so beautifully poignant.

Didn’t it also happen in Mr. Sunshine as he was carrying her on his back along the beach?

You’re right. Kudo Hina on Dong Mae’s back.

That was an absolutely heartbreaking scene. He sobbed aloud, when she died. I cried and cried. And when she said, with her dying breath, “I won’t be waiting for you.” We talked about that in the thread, and I thought it was her wanting him to live, but then the other opinion was that she had finally given up on him…it was wonderfully ambiguous, and it broke my heart, when I read that in the discussions.

            @pakalanapikake @bbstl @hebang @stpauligurl

I can think of other piggyback endings that made me cry.

Stairway to Heaven…in the evening?? Can’t be sure…with the dying rays of the sun, with the waves rolling…cried and cried my heart out..nobody loved a girl quite as much as he did. He was the perfect hero. I loved him to bits.

A Love to Kill – in the snow, they died together in the blizzard, omg…

Autumn in My Heart – didn’t watch this, but I think it ended with her dying in his arms.

I haven’t seen any of those other shows but I can tell you that I wept along with Dong Mae – hell I wept through the whole last episode and for quite awhile after it ended.

That show made me cry almost as much as “Call Me Mother” – and I cried buckets through that show.

@YY the drama’s you mentioned above, how were they overall?

            0

@hebang Stairway to Heaven was a heartbreaking classic. You have to watch it for The Grande Old Passion. The hero was absolutely gorgeous. He was perfect in every way. Kwan Sangwoo was the boyfriend of your dreams. His love for her was steadfast and unwavering. He never got angry with her, or misunderstood her for one second. He stood by her throughout. Nobody else has come close to him in the portrayal of The Perfect Lover. Watch it, and you’ll see what I mean. Some parts are over the top, but the love scenes were absolutely beautiful.

A Love to Kill. Full of rage and dark angst and passion and forbidden love. Watch it for Rain’s performance, and the gritty theme song sung by him. This was Rain’s best role. He was amazing. He broke my heart, amd I wanted to punch him many times. Lots of misunderstandings, and heartbreaking moments.

Autumn in My Heart. Never watched it. Tried to, but the sibling theme annoyed me. They were raised together, but they were not related, but she was still, technically, his sister. Ew, ew and ew.

      ““What do you see?”
“There’s a hole where your head used to be.”
      “Babe.”
      “Yeah?”
      “What else?”
      “Your face’s all red.”

Ah the typical kdrama logic – your head isn’t there but your face is all red. This is like the people who are hit by cars, get up with a bruised cheek, and continue running.

Honestly, I can’t add anything more clever than everyone else other than that (it is barely 4:45 am and I haven’t finished my first cuppa Joe).

Thank you for keeping me in the loop so I can laugh out loud first thing today!
