Here is something I love:
A dozen kids ignoring computers and ipads
and playing on the floor:
trains, play food, puppets.
Getting hugs from small people,
“OH MY GOSH MISS [ISA]!! Y’all are the best…the best…the best….ballerinas…?! EVER”
She meant librarian. But there was just so much to do that she couldn’t find the words.
You guys, play is so important. The simple act of playing teaches so much! How to share, how to use their imaginations, how to problem solve, how to create. So much more than that but its after midnight, and I have laundry to put away and a chicken to put in the crockpot if I’m going to have anything for lunch tomorrow 🙂
