I saw a joke on Twitter the other day that went something like this
Thirty days has September
April, June and November
All the rest have 31
Except March
Which has 6000 days
It seems a million years since we started Music March and even longer since we loved February. It has been a hard month for everyone everywhere; the third in a year that is testing our patience and our mental health. But at least the wonderful music we shared has gotten us through. I can’t wait to listen to the final playlist – it’s going to be epic.
As you know, Music March was our first attempt at hosting our own Theme of the Month after the site version passed into the great virtual beyond. I think it was a great success and so we’re going to continue it for another month.
With much fanfare and ado, I hereby announce the theme of the month for April….

Let Ahjumma April begin…
Can I make a suggestion? I know it’s late to make this, but could we just do it for half the month (like Love, February is)? Just that all 30 days is so long and if one can’t keep up with the tags it gets a bit much, plus a two week break before the next theme means burnout is less likely to happen, and would perhaps help people look forward to the next theme a bit more?
I can’t imagine anyone is going to post every day like they did with music. I hesitate to put rules around it because it’s on everyone’s personal fan walls.
But if enough people are supportive, we could suggest we make it more like the standard ToTM – less posts but longer. Or maybe a max of one post a week per person?
I don’t want to restrict people too much with a limited amount they’re allowed to post (what if they have more than 4 ideas of inspiration???), or even what they post (length etc)- I was just trying to think of a way to make it more like Love, February in that anything goes under a certain theme for two weeks, but only two weeks so there’s a resting period?
You’re probably right in that people may not post every day, but I feel like the other restrictions would impair on creativity more… idk
I don’t understand why there should be tags anyway? I mean there are not millions of posts everyday, and people can skim through them everyday quickly and read the posts they want, can’t they? Maybe I’m not grasping the tag culture right…
I think maybe we should have people opt in to the tags. I know some people don’t come on DB very often and if/when they do comeback they’ll be shocked to see they have 1000s of notifications.
I second this. First two weeks of a month would be great.
I do feel like the other voices/posts get drowned out by this and I end up missing wall posts.
Also, could you please remove me from tags please. Thank you!!
LT, could you please remove my name from the tag list? Since I scroll through fan wall daily, I prefer to catch up with beanies’ posts that way. Thank you in advance. 🙂
As an old ahjumma myself I think this is a grand idea. Apparently I’ve not been on DB enough lately and I missed this post!
Now to think about it. Maybe a half of the month will work. I loved all the music posts, but it became so much to look through them all.
Please keep me on the tag list! Thanks @leetennant!
By popular demand, I think it’s best if Ahjumma April posts don’t have tags on them. That way people can post as much or as little as they like without tagging anyone.

What will this look like? What are the rules?
First rule of ToTM, don’t talk about ToTM
Just kidding, there are no rules!
Maybe you want to do something small every day. Maybe you want to do an old-style ToTM piece.
Be creative. Be fun. And let me know if you want to be tagged. For now we’ll go with the original Music march taglist

Second that! Loved MusicMarch but shorter themes, or proposing longer posts but spaced in time could be nice alternatives!

By the way, love the theme! Our ahjummas – dramaland and real life ones – deserve all the love

Yes that’s a solution, we don’t have to tag anybody at all.

Yes no need to be tagged
But I want to be tagged in every single one please because I don’t skip through the fanwall at all , sorry for that 😅

I second an April Ahjumma’s only for half of the month.
And I don’t mind being tagged, I won’t tag anyone.
Thanks for this Elle Tea.

Great, if everyone starts their post with Ahjumma April it should be easy to find the posts using a google search.
